Very nice hotel with hospitable and helpful staff. Our room was small with not the thickest of walls, but met our needs. Bathroom as well as room nicely renovated. Breakfast better than expected with very attentive and welcoming staff. Otherwise, several elevators and stylish bar/library. As for area, both Oxford Street and Notting Hill are in walking distance (10-15 mins) and Hyde Park is very close by. Do try out pub around the corner (The Swan). Live music in weekends, nice food etc. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would happily return as well as recommend BW Mornington.

Very nice hotel in a beautiful and quite position, near the tube and bus stops and close to Kensington Gardens. I'll be back to the Mornington and recommend it!

Very nice place to stay for location and value. Was disappointed that the TV didn't work correctly and no hot water for shower on two mornings, when I got up later in the morning (9:00 a.m.)

Hotel has been successfully renovated inside. Room and bathrooms very nice. Heating in my room did not work. Sorry to learn that no food or toast available in the bar anymore. And not possible to order anything by room service. But, this is my favourite hotel in London anyway.

Completely renewed with good taste. Two downsides: the rooms in the back suffer early in the morning (6.00 AM) from an engine that is powering some kind of air conditioning. As the windows are not double, the sound penetrates in the rooms and wakes you up earlier than needed. Next to that, beware as the hotel tries to push you to pay in Euros. The rate you pay is 3% above the official rate. You have the option to opt out and pay in GBP's.

My husband and I just spent 5 nights at this hotel and found it to be a great experience. The room was freshly decorated, smelled fresh and clean, and the bathroom was sparkling. Breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of food. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. We kept the window open but our weather was perfect--not too hot nor too cold. It would need a fan in the summer. We did get used to the delivery trucks during the night, too. The front desk lady was very helpful with directions. We would certainly recommend this hotel. We were walking distance from the tube so we could run around London every day, and walking distance from Paddington train station when we left to go to Plymouth. When I read reviews, a lot of them were negative due to the remodeling but now that they're pretty much done, it is a great place to stay.

For this price (£82/night) a very good hotel by London standards. A short walk (5 minutes) from the central line tube, 10 minutes from Paddington station with four other tube lines. One block from Hyde Park. Breakfast was basic but adequate, rooms was not spacious, but better than most other London hotels in this price range. Room was clean and in good condition. Only disappointment was that wireless Internet access on the fifth floor was very erratic; it worked in the lobby though. All in all I was quite pleased with the hotel and happy with my stay.

Easy walking distance (~100m) from Lancaster Gate tube station, the hotel is probably best thought of as a three-star facility. Quite comfortable, but a little worn down. Free WiFi is available in the hotel - although it wasn't working on the 5th floor (there was a router problem - they came and looked, but weren't able to fix it overnight). Good self-serve breakfast in the basement, including a selection of cooked items, cold cuts, cereals, breads, juices, and so on.

Much better London hotel than many others, and within a reasonable price range. Breakfast was excellent. The pub around the corner had good meals. Would stay at this hotel again.

My stay was quite fine, and I really had no reasons for complains, but I never cease to become amazed about the differences between hotel star-ratings in Britain and in other countries around the world... In many places even 3-star hotels offer huge rooms with plenty of space and facilities, but in London expect a tiny room in a cupboard unless you choose a 6-star hotel it seems. :-). But still, I love London, and with Fawlty Towers in mind I've learned to accept these things as they come...
