Some hotel facilities in excess of 'room and breakfast' would be nice.

Hotel Hamilton House exceeded your expectations. The room was great for one person. The bathroom was perfect. The elevator helped a lot carring a heavy luggage. Very good breakfast - a variety of choices. Many restaurants and businesses in the neighborhood. It's close of Victoria Station (10 minutes)for the subway and Victoria Cough Station (5 minutes)for departures for local tours. The hotel provides a shuttle service for the airport and the rate is affortable. Very kind people. Always looking forward to help you.

The hotel is situated in an excellent position very near to Victoria Station, the surronding area full of services and shops is perfect. Hotel Employees have been very kind. The room was sufficiently clean but absolutely very little... just the vital space. Anyway this is not disturbing if you use the hotel just to fall aslept after long walks...! Breakfast not excellent but acceptable. Quality/rate comparison good (expecially in relation to London prices). I would come back to the Hamilton House.

We were fine with the room; nothing special. It was a decent size and we were happy after a week and a half in Italy to see a full-sized bathtub! Long walk up- there is no elevator; but a hotel employee helped us carry our luggage up. Coffee and juice were free in the morning but we had to drink ours in the dark as it was very early and the lights were not turned on yet. Good location- though the street is lined with cheap hotels just like this one. We probably could have walked into any of them without a reservation.

We spent only 1 night here but it was terrible. We booked a non-smoking room, but they gave us (after i had asked the receptionist) a smoking one. The room was unbelieveble small and in a very bad condition. Strongly not recommended!

On some of the hottest days you can possibly get in London, we got stuck in an interior room with a very tiny window in the bathroom. No air flow, 90 degrees F in the room and humid. They had no AC at all, no fan we could use, and no other option. I'm pretty sure they lost my reservation, too, which may be why we ended up in what was probably the worst room in the hotel. At least they gave me back my money for the second night when I left in the middle of the first.

The rooms were very clean, but we reserved a double, they gave us a twin which was tidy with peeling wallpaper and holes in the wall, and a en suite bathroom which was smaller than the one in our camping trailer (caravan for UK), about as big as a large wardrobe. Our boys triple was not so bad, but after one of the hottest days of the year in London, we came back to find the heating on, it took a little time and effort to get the staff to turn it off. Listed as a 3 star, it was a poor two star, more like a one star if that. Do not recommend it. If this is how London is, then I recommend staying at a large chain hotel where at least there should be some standards.

London is expensive as we all know! This place offers suitable accommodations for its price. Its location is convenient if you need to catch the Gatwick Express to Gatwick airport.

Well, this isn't exactly The Ritz, be you wouldn’t expect that for a 50 pounds a night single room. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom was ridiculously small. I couldn't stand in the shower without my shoulders touching the wall and shower curtain. My room was on the front of the hotel and I heard plenty of traffic driving by. But, all in all, taking into consideration the price and the location (15 mins. walk from Westminster Abbey) Hamilton House is a decent 'no thrills' place to stay in London.

Hotel served its purpose - an overnight stop in London for shopping - somewhere to park our bags, grab a shower and catch some sleep. Kinda pricey once converted to US dollars considering room accomodations and dated decor. Convenience to Victoria Station is the major factor when consdering this hotel as its definately not the Hilton as mentioned previously.

This hotel is quite clean, the room we had was big anough for 3 people. It's a 2 star hotel, so expect a 2 star hotel, not the Hilton. But if you want to spend a few days in London at an affordable price in a clean hotel, this one is definitely an option.Only, it takes a few minutes walk to the nearest tube station but the area is safe

For a place located almost in the center of London it was quite fine. Rooms are not that big, but for one person it was enough. Toilet and shower were OK, as well. It can get a bit too loud if your neighbors are noisy, but that happens only late night or before breakfast. Food served could have been slightly better, however you can pick from several items. Overall, nice trade off between price, quality and location. I enjoyed my stay there, so thanks a lot.

London is expensive. When you get a room for the price of this hotel you can't be overly critical. The room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. There isn't a lift so if you have lots of baggage ask for a room on the lower floors. Like most European hotels the walls are thin. If you have neighbours that like to come and go at odd hours then you might be disturbed if you are a light sleeper. The location is great! You're 3-4 blocks from Victoria Station and a short walk to Buckingham Palace. Big Ben and Westminster Abbey are also just down the road.
