Good place to stay in central London

I was just amazed that I had to ask for a face cloth.

I will never recommend anybody to stay in this hotel.The price you pay, you can out a more money and can stay one of good hotels in london.Its a very very small and cozy room like a 2x2 room or like a cabin on a train.The cleanliness was ok but was poor.I felt like its not at all worth for the money you pay.

The single room was indeed VERY tiny, but nicely decorated. The room and bathroom were well kept and clean. Both the continental breakfast buffet and the cooked English breakfast were OK and really good value for money (I've paid much more for much worse breakfasts in other London hotels).

I thought this was well located near the station, and attractions in the UK. The map to get there should be easy, but it took sometime to work it out as the map was very small. My upgraded room on the first day was great, but the second day, I had what could have been the smallest room at the back outside the main section of the hotel. If i had more than a day there, it would have been extremely claustraphobic. Meals at la Perla breakfast were great. Dinner was a little disappointing but still good value. The service was very friendly, and I commend the staff!

Internet never worked and staff didn't seem to care at all about our concerns. Our toilet also would not flush.

Smallest room I have ever stayed in. You could not leave the bathroom door open because it would block the entrance door to room. Could not keep window open because it opened to slanted roof inches away and would not leave room secure. When we asked the desk clerk about rooms, she said all rooms were the same size and we were lucky to get one with a bathtub. Some rooms were off of a nice small patio walkway, but we were not allowed to see floor plan to see interior room situation. The breakfast room was pleasant, but did not have any personal touches with service. We chose the hotel because flying BA we were forced to have a layover in London and needed to be close to Paddington station. Again, the room size was a shock because we had just spent much time in Italy with rooms being quite nice. Also, around area dinner is not served after 10PM. Luckily, we found a good Greek take-out. Too bad it was the most expensive room of our stay.

Hotel was overbooked. we had to move to Columbus Hotel for the first night.

Rooms were very small,but very clean. reasonable continental breakfast. staff were friendly
