Went to London for a week end holiday. The location of the hotel is definitely ok. Improvement in terms of welcoming and being attentive at the reception desk would be something to recommend.

I booked this hotel by Venere.com. I went other times to Best Western Hotels, but never found a double room so small that was impossible to open also our suitcase.. below our minimum expectation of comfort. Impossible to believe for a hotel so well known all around the world. Moreover the room was on the main road, very noisy from the early morning. the position is perfect and this is the only thing positive I found in this overestimated hotel. No recommended!

The room for a single traveller is small but sufficient. Bathroom clean and well equipped. Towels a bit old. Very quiet room to the back on top level (4th). Located in nice quiet street close to tube and pub.

The room was cute but on the basement level with windows looking out on concrete walls and stairs. The plumbing in bathrooms was old and noisy, but the worst thing was the rumbling noise from the Underground trains. I would not stay at The Burns Hotel again.

We travelled to London for a break and to view the sites. This Hotel was perfect with the Tube Station so close - Staff were very friendly - gave us map, showed us where we were and off we went. Hotel facilities were perfect - small room, but clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view over the little park across the road.

I stayed in a single room for 3 days in September. Room was cozy, clean, quiet and fresh. I did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that, but I got my money's worth and the staff was professional and accommodating. My room had a big window facing the backyard patio, which was very nice. Yeah you can hear the train rattling in the distance, but really, you can't demand complete silence in a city like this. Soft bed, safe stay, good location. Earl's Court station, stores and pubs are right around the corner. I won't mind coming back here ^^

The Burns is a good value hotel (we payed 99UK) for London where there are so many poor hotels. Good bed, clean room, very quiet. Our room, on the back side of the hotel, had a view of the residential back yards which is pleasant. This hotel is located on a beautiful street (not busy with traffic) there's a lush private park across the street. Earl's court tube station/buses is 100 yards away and many moderately priced restaurants and a grocery store are very close. We would stay here again.

The hotel was really good, in a nice, quiet position, just 2 minutes'walk from the underground, in a well served area. All the facilities mentioned were provided (tea, coffee, chocolate in the room, hair drier...). Also room service was fast and good. Definitely a very good hotel I would recommend.

We had 2 rooms, 106 and 103. 106 (my daughter and myself) was to the back of the building, very quite but very small. There was mold growing on the bathroom ceiling, the carpet was at least 200 years old, the furniture was so old that even if it was clean, it looked really bad. The room is in desperate need of refurbishing..urgently. The floor cracked when one walked the 2 steps it took to get to the bathroom. 103, my mother's and my sister's room was not a room but a closet. There was barely enough room to stand. Honestly, I have never seen a smaller room than this. I don't agree with those who say it's London standards. I've been to London many times, and I have never seen such a small room. The bathroom was a joke. My mother hit her knee (she still has a big blue to prove it) because it was up to an acrobat to get in and out of it. Both my mother and sister are very thin...what about normal size people? The shower door was brown around the bottom edge. When they arrived that first day, the room was very hot. No air-conditioning (the weather in London that whole week was incredibly nice and warm); I can't imagine what it is in the summer. The balcony door could not be kept opened at night (hotel rules) and besides, it didn't open, it was jammed. They showed us another room, basement floor. It was bigger but so creepy. When things are so run down, it doesn't matter how much you clean, it looks terrible. All this would have been OK if we were paying like £40, but almost £100!! per night, per room, no breakfast. We only stayed the first night and moved to a very nice 4 star hotel (chain of hotels) which had a special 3 day week-end rate, an executive room for 4 (spacious and comfy) for the price of 1 room in the other hotel, proving that you can indeed find a good room at a decent price. The only positive point was the staff. They were courteous and polite. The hotel didn't meet Best Western standards.

Hotel is located in a nice and quite area, very close to Earl's Court underground station, you can easily find nice traditional pub's, markets, italian restaurants just walking a bit. It's a very good starting base for moving forth-and-backwards to the airport and to the city center. Hotel is nice, a bit old-dated, some rooms are quite small. We occupied three twin-bed rooms, one had strange beds distribution, no window in the bathroom and was a bit difficul for two persons moving inside the room due to small space available.

This was our first visit to London over the Christmas holidays and we were very pleased with this hotel. It is a good value for the money and I would definetly stay here on my next visit to London. The location is excellent if you like a quiet neighborhood and plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was nicely decorated, good size with a big bathroom and beautiful bay window overlooking a garden. Good internet access and overall a very quiet hotel.

Hotel is a real good compromise between budget prices and really good services: the single room was small but nicely furnished. The bathroom is enough big and, most of all, very clean as hardly happens in London, also in much more expensive hotels. Employees are all considerate and willing to help you. No problem with the booking, my room was there waiting for me. Also you can contact them by email before you arrive and they will confirm your booking. Position is excellent as well: far from the city center chaos but in a quiet and elegant district. Plenty of whatever kind of reastaurants all around. If you are in doubt whether to go or not go to this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

The hotel was close to the Earl's Court Tube station and many restaurants and pubs. It was located on a side street with little traffic. No air conditioning anywhere in facility. This means windows have to be left open at night during the summer which allows all the street noise to disturb the guests. Free breakfast has excellent variety, but the wait staff does not follow their own signage. There was a sign that said to wait to be seated, but other guests walked right by us and were seated by the hostess immediately. I am pretty sure I was not invisible. The front desk staff (especially Bruna) was very competent and accommodating. Our luggage was lost by Alitalia and the desk staff constantly updated us as to whether or not the baggage had arrived. The rooms for four were huge inside. We had three people and were asked if we could change rooms the last night so they could accommodate a family of four. We agreed and we put in a room that was tiny. Luckily it was only one night. Overall I would recommend the hotel and feel that the value for the dollar was above average.

A nice and convenient hotel, close to the Earls Court Station (Picadilly Line, Circle Line). The rooms are rather small (as often in London), and the furniture is a little dated, but everything is clean and well maintained. Good breakfast, nice and helpful employees. Enjoyed my stay.

In fact the price quoted included breakfast although this was not at all clear from your website, and a specific enquiry about this was never answered. The only way around this problem, which could make a difference of 2o% to the price quoted, is to use your website to identify possible hotels and then book with the hotels directly, circumventing Venere

Generally disappointed. Parkind was impossible and staff weren't particularly helpful (we didn't know the area at all & they spoke to us as if we were ignorant and shouldn't possibly expect to park conveniently). The pictures of the rooms on the Internet were nothing like what we got. The room was cramped and the bed was uncomfortable. On a positive note, the breakfast was lovely! I wouldn't visit again though.

Overal the service provided was excellent. The location on a relatively quiet green, tree-filled square off the main Earls Court road, was a very pleasant oasis for such a busy city. It was also extremely convenient base to get to all the major tourist sights in London, with Earls Court underground just 5 minutes walk away, and with many of the major stores and banks represented on Earls Court Road. There were also lots of restaurants down various of the side streets. Although a single business traveller I booked a double room on the first floor, which had bay windows overlooking the leafy square. For a single person this was very spacious and may have given me a disproportiately favourable view of the hotel overall. Out of curiosity I did ask to look at a single room and it was substantally smaller. Breakfast was satisfactory, and the surroundings of the breakfast room large and pleasing, although the seperate coffee / bar area, being substantially smaller, could easily become overcrowded. Overall a very positive impression, but that is also a function of the price. Through Venere this was discounted to £69 for a double, £59 for a single. When I got to the hotel I found out that the normal price would have been £169 for a double, and if I had been paying that price my review, especially in respect of the value for money section, would not be so favourable. Also for that price you would have thought that they would have fixed a couple of damaged areas in the room, which included cracks in the some of the shower facia and a peddle bin whose lid was broken.
