Best Western Hôtel de la Place - Lisieux

The centre of the city. Parking in the street requires payment. We decided to have breakfast out of the hotel because dining room was small

This hotel was centrally located and easy to find. The room was very large and accommodated 4 adults easily. There were restaurants and shops just adjacent to the hotel which was very convenient.

The rooms are really spacious (very large). If possible to arrive on foot from train station. Near to St Peter Church (just across street). Free wireless internet just 1 hour. Extra charge for stay.

Shabby-chic hotel, in need of refurbishment (the non-mounted shower head could be improved!), but decor aside the hotel was perfect for our one-night stay on a Normandy road trip. There are restaurants located close by for dinner and breakfast and we could easily walk around town from this location. Nothing to write home about, but fine for the quick stop we made.

My family and me stayed in this hotel just one day (01/09/2010) but we agreed that this was one good option ... The employed was too sympathic, good and big room, good localization (near of Saint Teresa Carmel and 30 minutes on foot of Sanctuary). We totally recommend you!

Very noisy high road out front and no air con meant keeping windows open and the noise through the night resulted in no sleep till 4am and whole family not impressed. Family room very big with big beds but what is the point if you can't sleep. bittterly regret not taking ear plugs.

Great location in central Lisieux opposite cathedral and 5 mins walk from "old town". Enter hotel via side archway beside a diner. Small reception area. Friendly enough reception. Rooms were very spacious - main drawbacks were (a) musty smell in one room and (b) no curtain or guard at all on bath so water goes everywhere when showering. We returned one day to find the bedroom doors had been left open by the maid. Breakfast was just about ok for €7.50. No other meals and no apparent partner restaurant. Overall: good location, ok hotel but could do with a shake-up (like the town itself).

The text says that there was a parking with the hotel, well there wasn't! We selected om that because we were between holidays and our cars ( 2) were packed with our belongings...! At the hotel they said that we could park accross the street but there was a concert that evening and we had to park a few blocks away! Please change the text on the internet!

A very nice, central hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Very small bedrooms and even smaller showers are my only criticism.
