Very good surroundings, the breakfast was limited in choice but satisfactory, a dog barking in some other room, spoiled some hours of one night. For some reason, bathroom was very very hot, and it was necessary to keep air conditionated on all night long (it was in the middle of august). Camera comoda, calda, molto calda, soprattutto il bagno. Ottima la zona, ben collegata al centro. Colazione essenziale ma soddisfacente.

I stayed in Hotel Flamingo in summer 2009. The hotel is located in calm area, close to metro. The rooms was spacious though conditioner was old and very noisy. But the bathroom had a bath! Breakfast was simple (bread and somy pasrties, cheese, ham, eggs, muesli, yogurt) but everything was fresh. It was a good value for money paid.

Hotel reception is nice, clean & friendly, the lift is tiny and you still need to go up a few steps to get to it, not a problem to me but might be for some. Rooms and corridors have seen better days but still fine for short stay.

Very near to center, it is very practical to stay at this hotel and walk almost everywhere in the old town an some parts of the upper city. The prices are cheap but the rooms are very small and not so net and clean...

Considering Best Western Flamingo is a 3-star hotel, you would expect more... the hotel is more a 1,5 or 2-star hotel. the rooms aren't that large, the double-beds are small (140cm x 200) which is a pain for a couple which are larger than average... The hotel decoration looks old and cheap. The bar is small The breakfast is very limited (only some petit pains and cheese, ham and egg). the location of the hotel is quite ok, but the amount of stars is overrated...

The hotel looks really old and doesn't seem to be up to maintenence (I was hit by the shower head a few time when it fell!) Before I booked the hotel I knew it's not quite but I was shocked when I found out I could even hear people speaking, coughing or even flashing the toliet (it was LOUD when the water was draining!) The things that upset me the most was when the cleaning ladies chatting at 9:30 am in the small hallway (less than 2m long) outside my door and came to my room when I put "Do Not Disturb" (I was out for lunch but I did not want them to come into my room)! But given the price and location, that's called "what you pay is what you get"! If it's not because of the location, I'll definitely not recommend anyone to go. Next time, I'd rather pay to stay in a better hotel or stay in a youth hostel if I don't care.

I asked for a nonsmoking room with a bathtub through venere.com, but it was a smoking room (it smelled awful) and it was only with shower, although there were rooms with shower. It was a dark and gloomy hotel.

The staff at reception were unfriendly, the breakfast was quite poor and the bedroom was at the front of the hotel and so rather noisy. On the other hand, the location was quite good (about 10 minutes' walk from the centre and right by a metro station) and 60 euro was a reasonable price.

Disturbed first night (caused by drunken guests breaking door down directly below us) and no life in the commercial area adjacent. but parking at weekend ok and easy access to town centre. For the cost, good value for Lisbon, but tired carpets and decor. Also a small double room, but willingly changed after first night. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and breakfast good (but no fresh fruit)

Affordable hotel, easy to reach from airport by bus. Metro and bus stations in 5 min foot walk distance. Rooms were quiet, even those on the main road side - as long as the windows were closed. Breakfast was better than expected - Scrambled eggs, orange juice, cereals, cheese, ham, jam. Would recommend it to friends.
