Best Western Saint Sophia Hotel - Istanbul

Location is very good, but the hotel is very (very) noisy. I had to move to another hotel to a more quiet place. The only concern of the staff is to sell yo the excursions of their travel agency. Breakfast is not good. Like other hotels in Estambul if yoy pay with a credit card yo will loose with the change. It s much better to pay chash, with euros.

Verry bad hotel! Never more!

The location is fantastic, so the disadvantage of a slight background noise of street traffic is acceptable. It's a nice 'human' building, and the breakfast is adequate. Overall pretty good value for money - and you can't beat the location. Hotel will willingly and efficiently arrange Airport transfer at reasonable cost.

Best location to visit Istanbul! Right next to everything! We loved it and will certainly return. Walking distance to main sights, tramway right up the street. We especially liked the privileged location at the pointed intersection of two streets opening into the square of Hagia Sophia, a "green corner" with a delicious and friendly little restaurant at the front door.

The rooms were not so special. The situation is good.It is near Top Kapi , Blue Mosque and Haga Sofia. The tram went also near tho hotel. For those who come first time to Istanbul the situation is good. There is much traffic and noise.

HORRIBLE BREAKFAST very poor in terms of quality and selections. It did not fit the hotel level

Location, location, location. It is the BEST PLACED hotel in the area, no doubt. No great views, but close to EVERYTHING. Pretty quiet, clean enough, and very, very amigable people who actually speak English. It is not a four-star hotel by american standards, but compared to all other hotels close by, this is THE BEST. I HIGHLY recommend it to all travelers. Dont expect too much from breakfast, but apples, bread, and teas and cofee are there, and for the price it is EXCELLEN.

I had a great experience. I had checked out of a Hilton hotel and into this and i can say that the location and overall experience was better at the Best Western Sofia. Its a great location if you want to see the touristy section of Istanbul.

I have stayed in the Hotel three times and always receive professional and kind service. The rooms are very small, but the location makes all the difference in the world, it is perfectly central to everything. The breakfast is not very interesting, just simple. I stayed in Istanbul for three days on my last visit

This hotel was well positioned and well run. We stayed a week and they picked us up free of charge from the airport. Staff were mostly friendly and always available. Particular mention for the room staff, who were excellent. The room was (relatively) quiet, confortable and spacious. Bathroom was a little small but quite correct. View out onto Sainte Sophie church. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. Only downpoint was breakfast was a bit limited, with little choice. Otherwise, spot on.

The location couldn't have been better, the service excellent, and the room very comfortable. The elevator was not working when I checked out, so had to lug my suitcases down 3 flights of stairs, but I'm sure it was repaired immediately. The staff were very accomodating. Will definitely stay there again! The room with the jacuzzi tub and small balcony were definitely worth the extra money. The view at night from the balcony was fabulous and it was very relaxing to sit out there with a drink.
