The Best Western Empire Palace hotel is an old Ottoman house, built in the
17th century and renewed 2004. It is located in the heart of the historical area of Istanbul, close to the domes and minarets of the Blue Mosque, a few steps from all the historical and cultural attractions like St. Sophia, Topkapı Palace and Grand Bazaar.
Sumptuous burgundy fabrics and dark wood furniture characterize the luxurious and cosy rooms.

The main comment is that in spite of having the four rooms confirmed by you, when we arrived to the hotel we were told that they have had overbooking and we were oblige to move to another and close hotel of the "same standard". ????? I was disappointed at the desk service at this hotel. On Saturday I found out that I had received an important phone call on Friday night. But the night clerk had told my caller that I was not in my room, though clearly I was there. When I asked about the phone call, the night clerk said, oh, I didn't see your name on the room roster! Since I was the only one checked in for that room, I did not understand how he could mistake the name. When I complained, I did not receive an appropriate apology, just a dismissal.

Very nice view, nice Rooms, in the middle of Istanbul. In case you are Turkish, you will be able to get a better price for the room. In case of a taxi try this: Taksim Place is on the other side of golden horn, in case you don´t need to go so far, it´s even cheaper. http://www.istanbul30.com/de/hilfe.html#5 (iii) Taxis stehen am Flughafen bereit. Handeln Sie den Fahrpreis vor der Fahrt aus! Die Fahrt bis ins Stadtzentrum, z. B. zum Taksim-Platz, sollte nicht mehr als 28 - 30 Neue Türkische Lira (16 – 18 Euro) kosten. Die Nachttarife beinhalten einen Aufschlag von 50 Prozent.

As a married couple we found the hotel good. Excellent location . The room appeared to be renovated, but the double bed was a bit tired. The staff were very helpful.

The location is just great because it is near to the key tourist spots in Stanbul. The only problem is that the hotel is not recommended to guests with children or young guests because their TV is showing triple XXX movies. My daughter was shock when she turn on the TV set and saw the X rated movies, which even adults would find it a bad taste.

Very clean hotel. Terribly noisy (I had to call reception at midnite asking them to break up 4 or 5 drunken people brawling in the corridors). Very good service by waiters at bar/bellstaff. Good location. Very tiny rooms.

The airport/station transfers are not included in the price and cost €10,00 each way.
From 14th Dec 2006 to 15th Mar 2007 there is a 20% discount on a single usage of the Turkish Bath and a 20% discount on 1 airport pick-up and drop-off for any reservation. For reservations made for 5 or more nights, for the same period, the management is glad to offer an extra 20% discount on a single usage of the Turkish Bath and a free airport pick-up.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations without any penalty are accepted up to
24 hours before the arrivals date.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 1 day before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
