We stayed during 3 nights, I asked for the quiet room when booking (about 5 months in advance), but as we were the last visitors so we got the last room on the first floor looking on pedestrian area with a lot of bars on the street. So it will be rather busy and noisy although there is good window and I was awakened in about 2 pm

We had a great time at Dauro II. The employees were very attentive, the room fresh, clean and quiet. We opted for breakfast at the hotel and were not disappointed. We had a bit of difficulty finding the hotel and while it was expensive, we decided to allow them to park our car. The hotel was quite convenient to the tourist areas. When we checked out, we were overjoyed when our car was brought to us and the valet drove us to the highway interchange! We would definitely go back to Hotel Dauro II!

Excellent location and very clean. Take your passport as hotel receptionist was quite strict about this and we had left them elsewhere, so that was a bit awkward. Otherwise excellent stay, with no hesitation of going back. Excellent service from venere also.

We stayed two nights in a triple room. Of the four places we stayed in Spain, this had by far the most spacious room. Room was clean. Bathroom smelled a little, but no worse than the other places we stayed. Staff was helpful and professional. Desk was a little understaffed at checkout time, and we had to stand in line 10 minutes or so. One of the web sites described this hotel as having laundry facilities. What they have is a service where you can send your laundry out to be done. We had hoped (very optimistically) that they might have self-serve washing machines. Street noise was not too bad. I don't recall any noise from the hotel hallway. The beds were the softest we encountered during our two-week trip, and felt like a sort of memory foam. One odd thing was that the TV turned on whenever we entered the room and inserted our key card in the electricity control slot. Of the four places we stayed, this was the only one where the doors opened with a magnetic card, and you could come and go as you pleased without stopping to turn in / pick up your key at the front desk. The pedestrian street outside has plenty of places to eat, except for breakfast. We did not try the hotel restaurant. Ate some good paella a few doors down. Hotel is not a long walk to Granada sites, including Catedral and Plaza Nueva. This was the most modern, spacious, and comfortable place we stayed, and also one of the most expensive.

I stayed in the DauroII hotel for three nights with my wife and my daughter (12 years). The hotel is in a very nice pedestrian street, with a lot of tapas bar and restaurants of good quality (even for the breakfast!), very near to the Cathedral and to the BibRambla square: the position is excellent, in five minutes you can reach all the places of the town center (very good!). The ratio quality/price is surprising: the hotel is of excellent quality from all point of view. I advice it without doubt to all travellers, with family or single!

This hotel was in a prime location especially at fiesta time when we were there because the parade went straight by the hotel. However, this did cause a problem for the taxi that we arrived in because he could not take us to the hotel because of the fiesta so we had to walk the last 500m. Breakfast was fairly good for the 8.50 euro price although there are a number of restaurants and bars nearby. Overall a really good experience.

It is generally fine. There is an older male front desk staff who is not friendly at all, but other people are friendly. The cost for internet service is too high. The location is good. The room is very small. It is also not directly accessible by road. Have to walk a little. Although just a few steps away, it is nonetheless an disadvantage. Overall, not complaining due to the price. One more thing, there was no power when we arrive. We have to carry all luggages up three storeys. No help from staff.

The choice of hotel worked out very well for us. The location was perfect, It was on what my wife and I referred to as "Tapas Street". There were plenty of choices within a one minute walk from the hotel. even though it was on a busy street, there was no noise from outside. with the temperatures in the high 30's the AC was a godsend. We had a hire car and parking is difficult in the area of Granada where the hotel is. They offer a valet parking service. It is not cheap at £13.00 per night but proved to be worth it. It took all the hassle away. I would ring up reception and 15 minutes later the car would be out front I obtained a good rate through Venere and so the saving achieved offset the cost of the parking. Overall, an excellent place to stay.

Hotel in a good location in the city, not far from anything. A little hard to find due to the small one-way streets of Granada. The hotel provided parking but only for small cars, and we had a large 7 passenger van so they showed us nearby parking. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. We asked for a triple room and the room provides a foldout bed for third person, but it was comfortable. Room spacious enough for three.

The Hotel was extremely good, clean and warm, in a very good position. Close to the city center in a street plenty of nice tapas bars, restaurants and cafés. At the same time quite: from the rooms we could not hear any noise. High level of service, Internet access, bed for children, parking. Employees were extremely nice, we received a warm welcoming and very good help for our staying in Granada. We strongly recommend the Hotel.

I had a special offer at Euro 55 per night which was excellent value. The hotel is very well located in the centre of Granada, about 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral. There are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants in the area My only small criticism is the coffee at breakfast which was instant rather than real

We had delightful rooms on the third floor. They were essentially doubles let as singles. Very nice and comfortable. The hotel is situated on a lively street full of tapas bars, but noise is well controlled because the windows are double glazed. It is a great area to stay with lots of eateries nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.

The hotel was centrally situated in Granada and very accessible to everything. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food in the adjoining bar was wonderful both in price and quality. I would have no hesitation in going back to stay here and eat next door again. One downside, no kettle in our room but hey is a three star hotel supposed to supply a kettle? Perhaps that's just me, I like my cups of tea!! A taxi outside the door cost just 5 euros to take us up to the Alhambra and the same back down again. It was very easy to find too!

Hotel fronts on to pedestrian Navas, though taxi can access back public entry. Location is very central, and we even decided on the long walk uphill to the Alhambra, though buses go from nearby. We took a twin room, rather than a double, which gave us more space for our four night stay. Staff were fantastically helpful and friendly. There is a computer in one side area of the foyer for guest Internet use, which we found convenient and sufficiently private. Breakfast at 8 euros was a bit pricey, but provided buffet style with a good selection of cereals, breads, canned and fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, cheeses. Non-smoking floor of our room meant just that. Location was central to shopping areas, and restaurants. Navas was perhaps quieter in winter than it may get in other seasons with its many bars.

The hotel has two entrances. Navas street is a pedestrian road. If you are driving, you need to get to the Angel Ganivet street and to Plaza Mariana Pineda (I think?) where there is space for stopping your car and dropping off your luggage. The hotel takes over from there. The hotel provides valet parking which is very efficient. This is not clarified on the website, and finding your way to the hotel may be very tiring in the cramped one way streets of central Granada. Once you are there, the location is great. It is safe and in the heart of the town. We took a walking tour that started three minutes away from the hotel. To go to the Alhambra, you need to walk 5-10 minutes to a bus stop, and a small bus takes you there (do not waste your time and energy walking uphill). The reception desk is welcoming and very helpful. The room is a bit on the small side, but pleasant. The bed and the bathroom are comfortable. All in all, this is a very nice, good value for money hotel. I would definitely go there again.

Excellent service for those arriving by car; a hotel employee drives it to the garage (some distance away) for you, and brings it back at the end of your stay. This saves a great deal of the time and stress experienced at other hotels! Not a very picturesque hotel at first sight but very well situated, very near centre of city.

We got an excellent deal through Venere in this hotel - about 35% of the normal rate. Hotel is well appointed and very clean. Situated on a narrow pedestrian street with a lot of restaurants - no need to go far for dinner, but there was remarkably little late night noise and we were on the first floor directly above a cafe.

Marvelous quiet location on a pedestrians only street of restaurants. Taxis can drop you off at the back entrance. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We used the attached cafe for breakfast rather than the (rather expensive) buffet breakfast. Wonderful variety of places to eat along the street. Can easily walk to all the sights except the Alhambra which is well served with buses and taxis. Granada itself - you run out of superlatives. Don't miss the view from St Nicolas and the walk back down through the Moorish quarter.

The most difficult hotel - ever - in initially locating it deep in the maze of Granada one-way streets, and the valet staff were rude and unaccommodating upon our arrival. Reception staff were very dispassionate and frankly nasty (upon check-out, one gentleman slapped down several documents for us to sign, including credit card slips [which we had already signed] and after questioning, he rudely pointed out that the hotel doesn't keep check-in documents on file ... well, ok, does this make sense to anyone, and wouldn't it be best to explain what you are wishing your guests to sign instead of just rudely slapping down papers in front of them, without them having to get completely exasperated?). Hotel was quite noisey. An outdated lift serviced everyone above floor 0, and only one person + luggage could fit into the antique at a time (no, it wasn't a quaint antique). Frankly all of this made our 3-day Granada stay 2-days too long.

A little hard to find because the directions on Venere are vague, but tucked away nicely to keep it quiet and then only two blocks from the main square and shopping district. Nice cafe next door for breakfast/coffee if you don't want to pay for the hotel's breakfast (which was a nice assortment of breads/cereals/meats/cheeses/scrambled eggs and bacon). The room was well-appointed, had two small balconies, and the bathroom was quite modern and clean. Very helpful front desk staff! Just a tip: don't try to park your car in the hotel lot...let the valet do it! It is narrow! I would definitely stay here next time I'm in Granada.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is on an amazing street, close to the important sites, with numerous restaurants and bars. The hotel staff was very nice and made great recommendations for meals. The hotel itself was just average. The rooms were spacious for Europe, but nothing special. I think for the quality of the room, the price should have been less, but hotels tend to be expensive in Granada, so perhaps this one is in alignment.

This is a good hotel for the price. It's an older hotel, but it has a great location near the centre of town and very friendly staff, not to mention a great restaurant/bar attached to it with a delicious-looking paella (I couldn't partake because it was minimum 2 persons order and my husband does not eat fish, but several around us ordered it, I believe they were locals -- and the look and smell of it made my mouth water!). It was a bit noisy from street noise, but we were on 2d floor so it may be better on higher floors. Spacious bathroom, comfy beds, good experience overall!

Excellent Hotel, as advertised. Would not hesitate to stay here again. For any first time travelers to anywhere in Europe, look at the Best Westerns. They are typically excellent values in great locations. The only issue is the U.S. dollar which has nothing to do with the Hotel. We used Venere website for all of our hotel reservations: Madrid, Seville, Granada and Barcelona. Not one issue or disappointment.

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo (camera doppia a 63 euro).

(in spagna ne ho trovate diverse disabilitate o rotte...) HOTEL VIVAMENTE CONSIGLIATO!

Excellent! Friendly and helpful welcoming. Very easy to find from downtown. Place to recommend: room of the 4th floor (Alhambra panorama) Navas street supplies a lot of restaurant where it is possible to eat high quality tapas To come back if again in Granada.

Good convenient hotel with many small tapas bars in alley behind. Restaurant was nasty with cigarette smoke so I wouldn't have eaten breakfast there even if it had been included.

Very helpful staff, good location close to plaza nueva and cathedral, and the room we had was excellent. I was concerned about driving there, so I parked out of the centre (Severo Ocha) and took a taxi to the hotel for 6 euros. We joined a group to see some flamenco dancing, which you can arrange through the hotel. Although the dancing is put on for several groups of tourists throughout the evening, presumably several times a week, amazingly the performance itself retains the skill, freshness and passion of good flamenco, with several excellent dancers. It is clear that tourism here is fostering a climate in which the art of flamenco (or gypsy dancing) can flourish, and encourage new entrants.

The hotel was ideal for our touring purposes and the staff was helpful in arranging a tour and providing directions. The hotel was very clean, quiet and well located in the central area of Granada. The only issue was that it was expensive to use the phones in the rooms with a prepaid phone card. However, there was a public phone at the square very close to the hotel.

It was the best in granada, we booked as a mini group a double and a single and get the only two rooms on the last floor, with balcony and a fantastic view to the alhambra . and the price was 50% under the normal at the reception . a great offer these two rooms.

Tough to find. Hard to get to without a car unless you use a smart taxi driver. Exactly in the center of everything.

Prices for the weekend are double compared with the prices for the other days of the week. Calle Navas is one of the most famous streets in Granada for tapas and night life (no cars allowed) but we have not suffered any inconvenience due to noise. Very well placed

Hopeless to find by car. When we finally found a sign from the main street we made the mistake in following it to a closed entrance from which I had to reverse out into heavy traffic in a very narrow street - and damaged the rear side of the car towards a refuge.

Very neat Alhambra. The back side of the hotel is on a very nice street with a lot of nice places to eat. I suggest the galician restaurant, but others are good as well. Parking facilities at DAURO Hotel No. 1

The Duoro is a competent processing hotel for guests who want nothing more than a clean bed in a clean room. The bathroom is poorly designed with difficult access to the toilet seat, and an inwardly opening door which can dangerously strike the bath/shower protection glass. Reception had no suggestions where to eat in Granada, there was no staff to take bags to rooms or serve breakfast which was basic and overpriced. In all other hotels where we stayed, car parking was free but here we were charged 10 euros a day. I have no complaints about the cheaply priced and adequate rooms, only the lack of any helpful staff. The hotel took forever to find, with only an address and no map on the website

Very good hotel except that it is a nightmare to find and to park. If you have no care, the location is very good.
