Hotel BEST WESTERN Porto Antico - Genoa

Hotel was hard to find as Genoa is difficult city to drive around in, and this hotel is at the end of a narrow one-way commercial street. Public parking not far. Convenient base to get around the city. Breakfast was good. Would recommend!

No staff were available to help connect DVD player to TV. The rooms are the smallest i've ever stayed ineven though i booked a double for single use. Not for the claustrophobic. The weekends are very hectic and staff appeared harrassed dealing with families and children. location by the aquarium makes it a popular weekend choice for families. The decor and furnishings remended me of Ikea.

This is a basic hotel in an district that tourists want to see, the old port. There are two good restaurants right across the street, one loud and folksy, the other quieter and more sophisticated. Within a few minutes walk are the various attractions along the port, with pleasant places to eat and drink. The service at the hotel desk was excellent. It wouldn't be a great place to stay for long, because the rooms, though adequate, are a bit spartan. On the other hand, distances in Genoa are small, and even an elderly couple, like ourselves, could walk there from this hotel.

Genoa is a fantastic city to visit. It has that wonderful combination of a city, busy port and by the sea. It has that exciting buzz that only that combination can bring. This hotel is situated by the port in the old town. It is in a great location. Narrow streets, old churches, interesting shops. And after dark, that hint of danger which never materialises! Best Western Hotel Porto Antico is a brand new hotel. It was a great place to stay. My only criticisms are: 1. There is only one fairly small lift. 2. Children are allowed - but then the Italians love kids!

Fomos muito bem recebidos por um funcionário colombiano cujo nome me falta. O atendimento no geral foi bom. O café da manhã é o mais padrão possivel para a classificação do hotel. Faltou uma opção de chocolate.

Good breakfast

Situated in historic area, 15 minutes walk from station and within walking distance of all local attractions. Uncluttered room with all requirements and needs met. Friendly staff, variety of choice at breakfast and an excellent trattoria close by,menu very reasonable priced
