This hotel is situated in the historical area close to the cathedral, other buildings and a bus stop. It takes about less than 10 minutes from the main train station of Fribourg to this hotel on foot,through the commercial area. So, it's very convenient to get to many places. Hotel staffs were very friendly and kind. I liked an in-room facility "electric heat warmer " very much. It made me very happy to drink tea or coffee whenever I needed. ( It was cold during my saty in Fribourg) The only thing which made me annoyed was the noise of traffic at night, just outside of the hotel.
How to reach Best Western Hôtel de la Rose
By car
At 2 km from the highway exit Fribourg Nord on the A12, direction Fribourg Center, the hotel is located in the center of Fribourg close to the cathedral St. Nicholas, the art and historical museum and the square of Jean Tinguely.
By train
In front of the train station in Fribourg there is a bus stop; the buses 1 (direction Portes des Fribourg or St Leonard) and 2 (direction Schönberg) are going to the hotel. The closest bus stop is called Tilleul and lies just in front of the hotel.
By airplane
The closest airports are Bern Belp, about 60 km from Fribourg, or Geneva, about 150 km away.
