We had a very pleasurable stay at this hotel in Faro, we only spent there one night to catch a plane next day, but it was nice stay. Staff was very polite and helpful, location perfect, in a calm neighbourhood but at the same time very close to the town center. Room, bed and bathroom were fine and comfortable. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great central location for exploring Faro ( 10 mins to marina),easy reach of numerous restaurants,15 mins taxi ride from airport cost around 10 Euros. The room was spacious, clean with very efficient air conditioning. We found the staff friendly & helpful at all times.More than adequate continental style breakfast.Good value for money.

The hotel has a very good location, but therefore it is a bit noisy. Good bars and restaurants nearby. Hotel's parking lot is limited (just for 6 cars)and narrow. Excellent breakfast. Internet is available in the lobby, against payment. The reception desk should have more infos about local programs, possibilties, time tables, etc.

I booked a double bed room and I received a twin. Bathroom and bed room weren't duty. Cofre box was broken.

Hotel Dom Bernardo was about a 10 minute walk from the marina and Old City. The Hotel Staff wasn't too friendly when we arrived - he seemed like he had better things to do than to help us. The walls are very thin, and we were woken up throughout the night by our very loud neighbors, who were so loud, it sounded like they were in our room. There is a pool table on the first floor, which attracts rather strange people to the hotel, and there aren't many taxis the drive by the street, so it was difficult catching a cab to the train station in the morning. All in all, I would NOT recommend this hotel if you're interested in visiting Faro.

Clean, spacy, fresh towels every day, noisy if room's windows are facing the main street. Breakfast offers a variety but for being a German I'd like to have a better standard. The coffee and tea are aweful and should be enhanced by carrying some tea bags you like. Location of the hotel is excellent to see the town center and to get off to the airport. I would allways recommend the place to people who want to stay for a short visit of Faro or who want to proceed to other places. It's good value for money.

We thought we'd spend one night in Faro before flying back to the UK. The city is well worth a visit, it has some sort of magic atmosphere. The old town feels like a world apart. The hotel was a good choice and they kindly helped us calling a taxi early in the morning. We really liked it.

This place was very good value for money. Only paid 45 euros for a double room that was very spacious, with a very good bathroom. Almost couldn't believe that breakfast was provided as well, and this was a full buffet breakfast with heaps of stuff.

Stayed here 21/4/08 for one night. Room 301. Paid 48.75 Euro prpn including breakfast. We used this just for a practical overnight stop prior to flying home from Faro, and it was suitable for that purpose. It is located on a nondescript main road at the ‘back’ of the city, but is only about 10 minutes walk to the city centre where there are several restaurants; there is no restaurant in the hotel. The room was quite pleasant, alright but nothing of note, as was the hotel generally. We did not have breakfast as we had to leave early. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to the airport.

Access to internet is ridiculously expensive - it should not be written on Venere that there is WiFi if prices are 5 times higher than in any other hotel.

Very pleasent experience. We got a room on the 4th floor with a great view after i specified in my request for a room above the 2nd floor. The staff were friendly and warm. The room was not big but very clean and comfortable. Good range of programs available on cable TV. Breakfasts were simple affairs but again, totally fine for the price range. The 'singing' of the hunds when the church bell rang might be a disturbance to some but certainly not to us:-) Highly recommanded! and remember to ask for a room facing the backside of the hotel! there you get plenty of afternoon sun and view of the sea.

Good, clean Hotel near the centre of Faro. Ideal for short break or overnight. Noisy due to dog barking in time with church bells!!! Would stay again
