We were really disapointed our room was not ready, We had a really early flight and got into Dublin at 7am. We decided to go on the tour bus and went sight seeing. We arrived with two tired children and ourselves at 2.30pm and we just wanted to rest. We were told our room would be ready shortly. We asked reception would it be ok to have a drink in the bar whilst waiting . At 3.30 we were still waiting and decided to ask again. but they were still not ready. We were told ten minutes so after 10 mins we went up to our room only to find sheets on the floor and the maid inside. She said only 2 mins. We again waited. Finally we got in our room at 4.35pm !!

This is a well cared for hotel; location approx 20 mins from city centre on the Laus the stop 5 mins walk from hotel. We had a family room which was very spacious, dined in the bar and food was well presented and more importantly tasted as good. Hotel surrounding are commerical and private housing (no rolling hills or sea views here)however inside more than compensated for this. Diff have recommended to family and whom ever wants a quality stay in Dublin. If looking to go shopping get of at the Abbey stop I was unsure got of at the Hueston had to pay nearly same again to get to shopping district. The only prob I had with my room the kitchen extractor fans kicked in sort of early other than this I really enjoyed my stay as did the rest of family

The only reason why I don't give it 10 is that the bath tube in my room didn't have a shower so it was a bit difficult to wash the hair!

great oportunity to stay outside of city ( quite far away from Abbey St) and take rest - swimming pool (only open from 9:00 till 5:30 pm, could be until 9;00 pm, why not for these who like after visiting city take a rest in sauna instead of beer in Tample Bar?, no entrance between hotel and fitness centre so you do not really feel that is belong to Sheldon Park Hotel, you need to cross parking) Hotel nice, old fashion but still very clean and comfortable. Dark in the hall and doubles room look very small at because there are on the attic with very small windows, view not really, on the roof, but very quite bed comfortable and very big, bathroom - bath tube and shower, very nice but everything else great, staff etc if you want connect visiting city with fitness for these price is quite good no any restaurant around the best buy one day ticket for Luas 6 euro for adult

The Sheldon Parks hotel is a nice facility, but it is a bit out of the way. The hotel is a few blocks from the tram station, and a tram ride to Dublin center takes about 30 minutes. There are no attractions or entertainment venues near the hotel. No air conditioning in the rooms and the weather was unusually warm during our stay. We opened our windows to let the air circulate and try to keep the room cooler and the maid shut them every day, so when we came back in the evening our room was quite stuffy.

This was a lovely hotel, but very far from the downtown. We spent a large part of each day on the tram going back and forth (about 35-40 minutes each way). Everything about the hotel was great, except for the location, and next time we will look for something closer to the centre of Dublin.

It is a quick walk from the Luas station Kylemore, which is maybe 5 or 10 mintues from central Dublin. It was nice, clean, and spacious, I would come back again for sure. The staff was very helpful in answering our questions, no matter how stupid they were.

Good location, close to the LUAS tram that is about a 15-20 minute ride into the city center. Not close to restaurants or shopping of note, but also not in a congested, loud part of the city. I liked it and would stay there again.

Booked a junior suite at 119 euro. Although breakfast was not included in the price we made our own using the ample tea/coffee making facilities. This allowed us to take full advantage of the noon checkout time. The suite was superb with large bed, jacuzzi, and plenty of space to lounge. The LUAS light railway was 5 minutes away making trip to central Dublin straightforward. Major roadworks in the area but did not adversely affect access to hotel. Will certainly use again.

Been to Dublin on a number of occasions before but had to book this in a bit of a hurry (5 mins before going to the airport) so found the hotel to be some way out of the city centre. Had a very poor check-in where we had to go away and come back 3 times but after this the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room itself was nice enough with good facilties including wi-fi (and free print-outs from the lobby PC which is a nice touch). We arrived Saturday and a number of coach parties seem to use this place including one for a hen night. As a result Saturday night was extremely noisy with people quietening down after about 5am! It was a little quiter on the Sunday but the levered doors tend to bang quite loudly which may keep you awake. Didn't try the food but the menu seemed OK and no breakfast is thrown in. Carpark is large enough though so no problems parking if you're coming in by car. All in all nice enough (the room & staff) but because it's a way out and quite noisy we'll opt for somewhere else next time.

As I booked our hotels before travelling to Dublin, we stayed here for only 3 out of 9 nights. I now realize that the location is not a deterrent for travelling into central Dublin - the tram system is a very short walk from the hotel. The bar and restaurant in the hotel offer a nice atmosphere for a good meal or having a drink. The food and service were excellent.

too far from city but efficient tramservice until late - the description made us believe that teh hotel was a short walk, i.e. 10 minutes, but the tram ride took 30 min. Very poor breakfast and only possibility nearby wac McDonell. Reception missed a taxiorder.

The hotel was great, very very nice hall and nice rooms, the price we got from venere was excellent for this hotel, only the indication on the map was pretty wrong, it was a lot farer of the center than on the map.

Silenzioso e pulito, molto carino e rifinito. Dotato di tutti i servizi. Abbiamo trovato sgodevole tutto lo staff... comunque ci torneremmo.

The hotel is located on the southside of the city close to the M50 motorway which comes from the airport. Not within walking distance of the city centre but a few minutes from the LUAS railway which takes you into the city. As it is on the outskirts of the city there are no nearby restaurants. The lift did not work but as it only has 2 floors it was not much of a problem, upper rooms have a dormer sloping ceileing so get the lower floor if possible.Very quiet stay but the Aussie receptionist could do with a few lessons in customer relations, otherwise I found the hotel excellent value for money and was suitable to my needs.

This is a good value hotel - not far from public transport, though the location is not central. It's about 25 minutes from the city centre on the red Luas (tram) line, at Kylemore. Staff were welcoming, helpful and competent, though they did charge me for the hotel in GB Pounds without giving me a choice of paying in the local currency (Euro) or my home currency (GB Pounds). The room was spacious and clean and the facilities were good.

I booked the Sheldon as it was offering a cheap price compared to other hotels. Although the Sheldon was outside the city it wasnt a problem. Using he Luas was easy and cheap and took approximately 30 mins. The Luas was very reliable, clean and gave an opportunity to speak to local people. I traveled as part of a group of 6 women and on no occasions did any of us feel threatened or ill at ease. The Sheldon offered triple rooms that were exceptionally clean and the staff were helpful and pleasant. The key system to the doors on occasions were difficult but the staff were very helpful. Although the area was fairly noisy at night due to traffic this didnt stop us sleeping after very busy days in Dublin. I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers as it is of a very high standard at reasonable prices.

The hotel is quiet, but not really central. 5 minute walk to the light-rail then 20 minutes to central Dublin. The hotel staff was not very inviting and did not have any information about the surroundings other then to inform us how to get downtown (not even a local map of the area!)
