This is a very nice, American-style hotel. It is outside of the city center, but don't let that put you off--the suburban train line runs right through the area and the stop is a walk of five minutes from the hotel. Just go out the door and turn right and you'll see it on your left. It's cheap and convenient, taking you in ten minutes right into town (stop: Neumarkt; change here for the subway to the cathedral and train station). My only quibble with the hotel is that it isn't air-conditioned and with the windows open the traffic noise is pretty bad. Otherwise, it is very much to be recommended.

IN COLOGNE FOR TOURISM FAIR. REALLY GOOD SERVICE AND WELCOMING. ASK FOR ROOMS IN THE BACK SIDE. THE ONES IN THE STREET SIDE ARE REALLY NOISING. ITALY WOLRLD CHAMPION!!!!!

The hotel was very nice and the rooms were very beautiful. However, I found it extraordinary that a four star hotel was NOT able to offer Air-condition. The reception helped me with a fan, but of course that didn't help much. The hotel is probably very nice for business. For a visitor it is however a bit off from the city center. I spent way too much time on the public transportation to get in to the city center.

We didn't have a car and did not find hotel easily (Cologne metro was renovated at that time). We were pleasently surprised from inner room design and the big number of mirrors. The price/quality factor at that time was perfect. We reccomend it !

Unfortunately no aircondition in the rooms. When I stayed at the hotel, there was a heatwave over Germany with temps. at 40,8 C

This is a good hotel compared to it price, because room is good enough to relax, breakfast is especially good, persons at hotel is well trained, I could go to restaurants and bars near hotels to avoid a bit expensive hotel's dinner. However the hotel is far away from city center so you have to take some subways. If you have a car, that would be great.

By carFrom motorway A3 Düsseldorf/Leverkusen or Bonn/Frankfurt exit at Köln-Mülheim. Turn left at the first traffic light. The hotel is located on the right hand side after approximately 150 metres.
By train
From the main train station Cologne take the express train S11 in direction Bergisch Gladbach and exit at Bahnhof Mülheim. Then change to bus line 153 and get off at Dünnwalder Straße. Walk in the same direction as the bus for approximately 5 minutes and the hotel appears on your left.
By airplane
From the airport take the express train S13 to station Deutz-Messe. Switch over to tram line 4 (direction Schlebusch) at the Kölnarena and get off at Keupstraße. Continue walking for approximately 5 minutes and the hotel appears on your left.
