Best Western Grand Hotel Bristol - Colmar

Stayed with my partner. Small room with small bed, although it had a non-smoking sign it smelled of cigarette smoke and the interior has certainly seen better times, needs a lick of paint. No price list for mini bar so when you're thirsty at night youll get the shock when you have to pay for it. The worst was however the shower, within seconds the room was flooded and the carpet in the hallway and bedroom (which was already damp from previous users) was totally soaked now. Because it was already midnight and we,ve unpacked and were tired and had no clothes on we decided to complain to reception in the morning (as we could not reach anyone by phone). This was a mistake, reception staff was very protective next morning and there was no apology at all, even blaming us that is was our own fault that we didn't ask for a change of room!! Can you believe it? At least we got the parking offered for free by the manager, which won't change our decision not to book any Best Western again, we have been disappointed by that chain too many times in so many places :-((

Very nice, walking distance to old Colmar city center. Downside is that the train station can be rather loud if you leave the windows open at night.

Very clean and comfortable. Wonderful, spacious room and helpful staff. Located right near the train station and a short walk to the center of town. Only down side was the price.

Nice and confortable hotel. Difficult parking, a private parking two blocks from hotel. Breakfast-buffet very good. Huge bathroom.

We ate very well at the hotel and were well served by the very friendly staff. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet. The railway station is right opposite the hotel which is very practical for train travelers but there are also plenty of parking spaces around the hotel for people traveling by car. The city center is within walking distance but there is also a bus stop right outside the hotel. We shall book that hotel again.

Very close from the station and also close to the town.Nice and clean room. Very friendly staff.Very convenient to go to another town, too.I went to Riquewuhr by bus and it was plesant jouney. we saw beautiful vineyard from the bus!

The hotel is in a convenient location and the staff were quite friendly. The hotel is being expanded, as you know, and we had to walk through some incomplete areas. No problem. It was our second time at the hotel in two years for an overnight stay and we will return.

We stayed for 1 weekend in Colmar for holiday and had a double. There are 2 points to critizise - first of all it says on Venere there is a free parking but there are only a few in front of the hotel which are only free at the weekend, otherwise it costs € 10 per day. Also it did not say on Venere that breaktfast has to be paid extra. City centre is about 10 minutes food walk away and staff really friendly. Very good for people who travel by train as it is situated next to the train station (but it is not very noisy). Good breakfast (has to be paid extra).

L'equipe a la reception etait tres acceuillante. L'hotel se trouve dans un lieu convenable pour les visiteurs. Nous y resterons encore.

Very good hotel, excellent food & wine. Thoroughly enjoyed stay and would use hotel again. Straight across from train station so expect noise,parking on street meters only - but not expensive. 10mins walk to town centre
