Hotel Best Western Hawthorne Terrace - Chicago

Our in-room coffee maker didn't work; I reported it 4 times to the staff, but it never got fixed. Our request for a plunger, however, was answered quickly. The breakfast was disappointing: not comparable to chains such as Hampton Inn (no protein, lots of sugar, no or little fruit). The exercise room is terrific. The staff is very nice, but seemed overwhelmed.

After staying the previous night at a nearby "hotel" that was the same price, this was absolute HEAVEN. All the amenities were first-class, even better than the Hilton that I stayed in the next night in Madison, WI. And, a welcoming neighborhood too. I'll be back here for sure.

Excellent hotel, great location. Staff was helpful, cordial and attentive. Best hotel for the money near Wrigley. And even if it wasn't it was still great hotel.

This place was amazing. We will definately go back when we go to Chicago again. Perfect Place to stay at.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the North Halstead/BoysTown district. The hotel was within walking distance of the district. The hotel staff was very welcoming, and made us feel comfortable staying at their property. The only downside was the hotel lacked a breakfast area. This property is clearly an older hotel that was retrofitted to modern traveler requirements. The hotel had a hint of the old glory, without the problems of most older hotels retrofitted to modern needs. I would definitely stay there again.

It was a nice, clean place to stay near our daughter's apartment. The parking garage was right beside the hotel so it was easy to check in. The fan was loud in the room but we just turned it off for a while. Breakfast had a nice selection but there isn't a place to eat if you want to eat in the lobby. We just took our food to our room which was fine. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. The neighborhood was safe and clean. We will come back here.

My roomm was the 114 and for all the night the pump of the jacuzzi near my room start every 10 minutes.I ask to change the room also because was very small but the hotel was full. Is an hotel very american style.. not for european people..you must take breakfast in your room because there are not a breakfasta room with table. The staff is very efficent and competence.

Very good property, located in a fine area. We will stay there again.

I have to go back to Chicago next spring and I plan on staying there again. There is a bus stop 1 block down that gets you express to downtown (the Loop). Perfect for me.

Everything that we expected. Just a short walk to Wrigley and in a great neighborhood. Will book this every year for our Cubs trip.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. As others have noted, the decor is outdated, but this was a very minor detail for us. The bottom line is that the hotel was very clean, it was quiet at night, the location was excellent, and the price was right. As we drove away on check-out day, we all agreed that we will stay there again.

Great little hotel. Wonderful location, lovely staff, spacious room with character. Would definitely stay again for business or pleasure.
