Hotel Best Western at Grant Park - Chicago

I was travelling with my family i had a good time in the hotel, the position of the hotel is amezing!!!really good, with a lot of busses and train stations.

That's not the best hotel i've ever been, but it's a good one for business travels.

Great location for a great price.

I was very surprise by the price. When I paid, my invoice was at 185 USD by night with the information (internet reservation). At first, I paid and a few minutes after, I asked the supervisor. He was very sorry and made a deal at 119 USD per night. Normaly, he charged and reemboursed me. I can verify that at the end of this month.

Room was fine and the staff helpful. Buffet breakfast was a bit overpriced, otherwise as expected on all other accounts

Best thing about this hotel is its location. It is close to the loop (read "Buddy Guys"), and nice restaurants on Michigan Ave. It is close to McCormick. Price is high for the room but not for the location. Had a couple of drunk European tourists in the room next door. I heard every word that they slurred at 4:30 in the morning. I know that they were drunk European tourists because I ran into them in the hall the next morning. I had to admire their stamina, however. The restaurant was under repair but that had little impact as I have favorite places in the area, anyway. There is a small store and a large grocery store close by for in-room snacks. I was a little concerned about the booking - the hotel was full when I called it but found this listing. I called the hotel to verify and all worked fine.

I am from a small town, so the prices for a big city were shocking.

Heat/Air conditioning did not work, requested a non smoking room and received a room with an ashtray and matches in it. Ice machines did not work and they don't have 24 hour access to parking available in which you pay a ridiculous price for.

My reservation had not been correctly noted by the hotel--they had the wrong arrival date and I was almost without a room!
