Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo - Catania

There was very sultry air in the room (the window faced the very-very small closed stone yard)

Good quality, professionality, clean room and very good prize!

run-down, ouy of center neighbourhood, no restaurants or shopping near by. would not recommend.

Hotel was great! Great Breakfast, great staff, very clean room and good location. Just 10mins walk to the main city street. Great discounted price for the room that we paid. Highly recommended and will stay there again if we come back :)

It was my second time at Mediterraneo and i enjoy it. Hotel is 1 km from baroque city center. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff is helpfull and welcoming. Quality/price ratio is very good. I will return to this hotel.

We were given rooms for smokers and it stinks.

I must say that i was very impressed both with the service provided and also with the rooms. Rooms very clean, all amenities found. Our room overlooked the street, but it is a very quite area. The hotel is quite central we walked to Via Etnea, Piazza Duomo. Very good standard for a three star hotel. We definetly recommended it and we will defintely make use of the hotel once we visit Catania again, hopefully next June. Thanks a lot .

Very cheap (promotional) accommodation with respect to quality (standard but good) and services (standard but good) offered. The hotel is located close to the city centre, but not in the centre (which is good). Road signs indicating the right direction to get the hotel are numerous and correct; it was a pleasant (and useful!) surprise.

This was the third hotel in which we stayed in Catania and the staff were vastly superior in their helpfulness, friendliness, English-speaking skills. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest tourist sites--there are no restaurants nearby but it is in a safe residential neighborhood of apartment buildings. The rooms were not large but they were more than adequate with a nice bath and were very clean. This would be ideal if you had a car or were on business.

The hotel was not a problem. It was the loctaion it cost us 35 Euros at midnight from the airport. Plus the area was low quality. Dirty streets full of grafitti. On our return trip 2 days later we stayed in the Old Town, that was much nicer and closer to the airport.Hotel Il Principe (4*) it cost us 40 Euros more but well worth the difference.
