We stayed at the Best Western Parlament over Christmas 2011. On the plus side, our room had sufficient electrical outlets, which is rare; a very good breakfast, although the choices were the same each day; and a friendly staff who helped book us a dinner on Christmas as well as a city tour. On the down side, the wi-fi connection in the room was very bad, and although we booked a double room, we received a room with two single beds. This would have been okay if the beds didn't continually slide apart. Of course, we could have addressed this upon check-in. The hotel is a little far for walking from the center of town but if you like to walk, no problem. Overall, we very much enjoyed our staff.

Fantastic hotel, spotlessly clean, great complimentary beverages service and fabulous breakfast!! I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who were all superb and nothing was ever too much trouble! Parliament building only a few minutes walk as is the Danube river...use the hop on/hop off bus service to explore this wonderful city for only 4500HUF (approx £13.50) as you get the next day free, offering great value!! The Buda side is special for views of the Pest side, especially from Fishermans Bastion. Two supremely wonderful restaurants are Zsakbamacska (recommended by the hotel and traditional Hungarian) and Pomo D'Oro Trattoria in which I had one of the best meals ever!!! We celebrated new year there and it was such good fun with people wearing masks, wigs and blowing horns..so we joined in, happily!! Budapest is a great value for money city..enjoy!! The hotel is perfect for anyone wanting a very enjoyable and pleasurable stay with staff making sure of this!!! Thanks so much to the Best Western Hotel Parlament...we think you are the bomb!!!!!!

I stayed for 5 nights in this hotel which is very conveniently located for sightseeing and restaurants. The staff could not have been more helpful and gave practical and useful information about the city. Overall, an excellent place to stay.

Great little hotel in quiet street but within walking distance of the Danube and all the sights I wanted to see. The breakfast was excellent and 24 hour hot drinks was a godsend. I requested and received early book-in without extra cost. Highly recommended.

This hotel was perfect in every way. Ideally situated for the central areas of Budapest, but in a quiet street which meant a good night's sleep. The staff were exceptional and the varied breakfast was excellent. We were given useful information about sight-seeing and recommended to a nearby restaurant which was of a very high quality. The small wellness centre was great at the end of the day.

Very nice Hotel: well situated near Parlament, great various breakfast, beautiful served with flowers. The staff was helpful and kind. Sauna with jacuzzi, bar with coffee, water, snacks was free. Our rest in Budapest was excellent. Strongly recommend this Hotel!

Consigliato!

I'd suggest to keep the wellness center open until midnight since it's very relaxing enjoying sauna and jacuzzi after a day around the city doing sightseeing in the cold

I, my wife and our daughter spend a wonderfull 4 days in Budapest staying in Best Western Hotel Parliment. Location of the hotel gave us a short connection to the downtown, to Vaci street where winter bazar and all other small shops make our stay very comfortable. Hotel was very nice, all room installation , hot water, hiting system - all works well. Breakfasts were tasty and drinks during the day in the bar were very helpful. We did not use sauna and jacuzzi but they were looking clean. Personal at the reception was very professional and show to us most interesting places to visit. If I will plan to visit Budapest again I will choose the same hotel.

Wonderful hotel - especially if you like modern. only warning, though nothing to do with hotel , agree taxi price beforehand and beware giving high currency notes to driver by mistake! (local currency is very hard to use until used to it.).

Stayed for four nights with my 15-year old child at Hotel Parlament. Found it to be very clean, well-run and functional. The staff was helpful and kind and the services the hotel provided were good. We both could very well consider staying there also on the next trip to Budapest.

I was in Budapest for a short holiday with my wife. Hotel Parlament perfectly satisfies my standard for an hotel. Its chacteristics are excellent and it's located centrally in the city (five minutes on foot from a Metro station and river Duna). Breakfast is a high quality one, too

The hotel does NOT have an air condition! They have central heating system 6 months/year and quests can't choose temperature. There is hot air coming only, so only thing you can do is switch off/on the system. In the beginning of April the rooms and all hotel public areas were extremely HOT, because the heating system is on untill the middle of April.

Will definitely come back to the same hotel when I visited budapest again. What I like is that the room is very spacious and although I was placed on the ground floor the room seems to be soundproof. For extra value, they provide hot chocolate machine on the public area. After a long walk in a chilly weather outside, it tasted so good.

We were staying for 6 nights & the deluxe room was smallish & minimal for storage. Quiet on the courtyard side, with balcony. There is some sound transmission between rooms. Breakfast choice disappointing; surely fresh orange juice could be expected for a 4 star hotel. Bar prices ridiculously high, hence it's very quiet. Staff however are helpful & pleasant. Overall, quite an attractive hotel, & probably fine for a short stay but perhaps not really a 4 star hotel

As a chain Best Western rarely disappoints but this was definitely above average even by their standards. We thought this hotel offered excellent value especially as the breakfasts were included in the room price. We've only given the surroundings 8/10 mainly because the street in which it stands is a bit lacking in character. That said it is ideally placed for getting to the Parliament Building (the clue's in the hotel name!), the metro, shopping and restaurant areas. The hotel itself is very recently renovated to a very high spec and has an almost boutique feel to it. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would return without hesitation. Don't pay more at other places unless you just want to spend money for the sake of it.

We got a very good offer, and found the hotel a good bargain for this price. Very good location, nice rooms and friendly people. The "deluxe rooms" were not very big, and you could hear a bit to much noise from the corridors. Nice breakfast. All in all, this hotel can be recommended, but at rack rate it's a bit overpriced

This is a really great hotel, offering a good value for money, with internet free of charge and high quality breakfast. For me, as a principle,I do not stay in hotels,"thieves" which charge you outrageously for a service which must be complimentary Maybe the small negative point: the absence of room service Patrick PACE France

A lovely hotel overall, lots of places in the public area to sit & read. Free tea /coffee minerals /water + sm snacks in the bar.Set about 3 mins walk from the Parliment and 10/15 mins from main Xmas market.took a cruise on the Danbue - really relaxed. Rooms were a little small as I stayed 10 days for dental treatments - hanging space and shelves but no drawers which left the long phone table full of stuff - bathroom fine - little cramped around the sink. Very hot in the room so we turned the heating off all together and it was fine. Opera was fab. would stay again for a short break.

Loved this hotel! The location is kind of odd as it is between two very active areas of Budapest, but quite quiet around the hotel. A short walk to two subway stations, and very close to the Parliment Building. Recently redone in 2006 and it is quite modern in every respect. Bathroom was very chic. Staff was very accomodating, especially Ishtvan at the front desk. Hotel had the very best breakfast of any hotel I have every stayed at in Europe. Scrambled eggs, bacon, european sausage, and of all things, fresh quartered tomatoes, sliced English cucumbers, and red, yellow and green bell peppers. It also had the other usual items of cold cuts, breads, cereal, yogurt and juices. May partner did complain about the coffee service as the machine would only make one cup at a time, and tehre was often a line of six people waiting to get a cup of coffee. Liked the two small TVs in the Breakfast Room so I could get caught up on CNN without bothering the whole room. There was a nice jacuzzi in the wellness room with a sauna and cold showers. Two computer workstations in the lobby to check e-mail and the weather, gratis.

Although there was work being done on the street in front of the hotel it did not impact on our stay at all. The hotel staff were fabulous, their english great and all were very friendly. The breakfast was one of the best we have had from any property we have booked via venere. Highly recommend this property. Walking distance from most of Budapest's highlights or easily accessable to others via train or tram.

This is a nice hotel in an ok section of Budapest. We thought it was a bit overpriced but liked the room, except there was no clock! Very nice bathroom and a good breakfast. The clerk Istivan helped us by writing out the Hungarian for 'I have a cough and need medicine' to take to the pharmacy. We had been in another hotel in Budapest, then took a car into the countryside for a few days and came back for just one night at the Parlament. Nice to have free internet access!
