The hotel was in a good location and was good value for money. However, the website said it had a bar (and showed a picture) but this was not the case. The mini bar in the room was very poorly stocked also. I would still recommend the hotel as it was very central and clean but it should not advertise to have facilities that it does not have. In addition I don't know if it merits 4 star status.

The room was clean but there was a TERRIBLE smell inside. We couldn’t support this. Unfortunately housekeeper did nothing to solve this problem. They also didn't have any other room for us. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms in pictures seemed to be higher that really was. good situation near the opera, the sinagoga and basilika. not very good in the relation price quality. we expected 8,5/10 and found 7/10

A good holiday hotel and close to all important locations. We had a problem with our room the first night but the problem was dealt with very efficiently the next day. I can recommend this hotel to anybody.

How to reach Best Western Plus Hotel Ambra
By carFrom all highway, follow signs towards the city center (Centrum). From Deák Ferenc Tér go onto Andrássy Utca avenue and drive straight until Oktogon. Turn right onto Erzsébet Körút boulevard and then turn right onto Király Utca avenue. Continue on Kiraly Utca until Kazinczy Utca, then turn left. Take the first street on the left, Dob Utca, then turn left onto the hotel's street, Kis Diófa Utca.
By public transportation
From any of the railway stations take the underground and get off at Deák Ferenc Tér, the junction of all the underground lines. From the underground station exit towards Király Utca and turn into Király Utca. Walk straight until Kis Diófa Utca and turn right into the street. The second building from the corner is Best Western Plus Hotel Ambra. By airplane From the airport you can take a taxi, which costs approximately 5500 HUF (€22,00) or the airport minibus transfer line, which costs 2300 HUF (€11,00) per person. If you decide to take a taxi we suggest you to clarify the total amount with the driver before leaving. The minibus transfer service can be arranged at the minibus front desk inside the airport.
