Best Western The Connaught Hotel - West Cliff, Bournemouth

The guy who welcomed us was excellent. He was also there for breakfast and once again was great. However, the whole experience became average when we were attended by another staff who was not as competent and friendly as she should have been. She did not have the local knowledge of where to catch buses and also gave us the wrong closing time of the hotel leisure facilities! So, we never got to use to hotel facilities. Breakfast would have been good if the guy next to us would at last close his mouth and said excuse me after burping multiple times!

The quality is good compared to price, good value for money. Our room was small and rather tired, but clean. The light switch failed in our bathroom, luckily as we left, it was on its way out. Overall this was a nice hotel with very good, pleasant competent staff. The Restaurant food and service were excellent.

My experience was very good. Food and ambience was way above average. Reception staff need training in communication and people skills although they were responsive. Had a good time and will return again.

Staff courtesy and food quality excellent as was the service provided. Our only regret is that next year's tariff will preclude us from arranging a return visir
