There´s nothing around the hotel and there´s no public transportation. The only advantage is free transportation to the airport.

First, the airport shuttle only ran until 11:30pm and our flight was delayed so we did not arrive until 12 midnight. We had to take a cab which would have been ok except a 5km ride cost 46 Euro because they charge 30 Euro just to get into a cab at the airport in BCN. We had 5 people so there was an extra charge there too. It was past 1 am when we finally arrived only to find the desk agent talking on the phone for 10 min and no other desk personal to check us in. The "extra bed" for the third person in the "triple" room was for a midget and was not comfortable. It was a mini rollaway. Other than that it was OK.

I liked friendly staff, at reception and especially in the restaurant for a woman dining alone. The hotel was a little further from the airport that I had thought, but it was not a problem because there was a well organized shuttle. It was great for the early flight.

Hotel rooms are spacious clean and modern. Unfortunately, for a 4 star hotel the bathroom amenities are poor. Parking is expensive and the hotel is some distance from the airport terminal - reserve shuttle for return to terminal - we were not told to and had to take a taxi.

The staff was very unwelcoming. They acted like they were bothered by us being there. The location was close to the airport but the only place to eat was at the hotel. There were no other options close to this hotel. For a 4 star hotel, we were let down.

this hotel provided good shuttle service to airport and it's really convenient for who simply wants a overnight stay to catch early morning flight. but the surrounding is industrial with nothing to do and no place to eat. and they claim there's wireless internet access but the truth is you can find the signal but can't really surfing any web page or use skype&msn. and the hotel stuff couldn't help with this at all.

Address given is not available on GPS used by taxi company. Taxi driver could not find location and his dispatcher could not help him. Drove around for 30 minutes trying to find hotel in the industrial area. hotel exterior is under constrction and very torn up at present. Rooms are modern and good condition.

We stayed here because it was supposed to be close to the airport and have a shuttle so we could make an early flight. However, it is not as close as the website says, and the shuttle does not run early enough. They did not respond promptly to emails (although they did eventually respond). When you call the number you speak to an operator from the chain of hotels, and not someone from the actual hotel. Of course everything was overpriced, but it really didn't seem worth it. There was NOWHERE you could walk to AT ALL, so once you get there, you are trapped. Half of the items on their snack menu they were out of. The pool is a bit dodgy.

I do not recommend this hotel due to the strange, remote location, which I expected based on other reviews, but more importantly the room was not clean and the bathroom reeked of mold and bleach. The shuttle to the airport is not available during night hours, and taxi surcharges made the transit to and from the airport extremely and unecessarily costly. I had a long layover in Barcelona with a late arrival and an early departure and was hoping for a comfortable room and some sleep. I wish I had spent the 7 hours on a chair at the airport.

Breakfast was supposed to have been included and wasn't - staff were not helpful (and if anything downright rude). Evening meal was poor value and quality. We wouldn't ever stay there again.

Never in my life have I stayed in a hotel in such an absurd location. It is in the middle of huge commercial area full of industrial plants, entrepos (storage areas) and thousands of large trucks. It is not only very far from the city center but there is almost not a single store where one could buy some foodstuff or else. I do not at all recommend to anybody to stay in this hotel even though the hotel itself (as the building) fulfills the criteria to be a hotel. The spanish personnel are almost totaly indifferent to their customers' requests. They hardly open their mouth to answer questions. They seem like they do not like the job they're doing. That kind a behaviour, however, was quite widespread all over Spain (not only peculiar to this hotel's staff). Maybe because they have lost their excitement to attract tourists as tens of millions of them still go to Spain. Alfa Hotel should definitely be moved to a more civilized (and descent) part of the city. It is a crime to send people to stay in the middle of an industrial area. Have you (Venere.Com) not ever cheked the location before starting to market this hotel on the internet. If you haven't done so thus far, I would highly recommend you to send one of your representatives to see the location of the hotel. Then, I'm sure you will drop it from your list. Otherwise, your customers may drop you from their list. I regret having stayed there and having paid a lot of money that didn't worth at all. Best regards Mustafa Kibaroglu

Nice hotel but quite a distance to downtown. There are no restaurants or shopping nearby.[ The hotel does have a snack bar and restaurant on site ] They do offer two shuttles a day to the city [13:00 and 16:00 ] but you need to find your own way back. A good value if you need to be close to the airport for a early morning flight.

Although the hotel is far from the city the airport and train station are close by, the shuttle service provided by the hotel gets you there in about 10-15mins and a train into the city takes approx 25mins. The room and bathroom clean and quiet.Would stay there again. If coming from the airport (like we did)the shuttle bustop is to the right as you come out of the airport and a walk of 5 or so minutes (bus stop indicates the hotel, however check with hotel re arrival time and pickup as you may need to ring hotel for the shuttle service (shuttles run every 1/2 hour).

It is very close to the airport and a free shuttle so it is very convient for coming and going. However, the restaurant/bar workers were very rude and understaffed-not a good experience for us. So, if you are looking for a place close to the airport just to sleep this is your place.

The main reason for selecting this hotel was it's location to the airport and free shuttle service to the airport. They do offer a free one way shuttle to City center. As the surrounding area is industrial it is quiet at night. Because it's used for airport traveler's people rise very early to reach teh airport so hallway noise was a problem. Teh buffet is not included and was only so, so for 12 Euros. Room service menu was more complet than the restaurant and was the same price. The equipment pictured in the work out area was not present. The hotel was modern and clean. One night was 70 euros and another night was at 50 Euros which was an excellent value. IF the convenience to the airport is not an issue I would suggest considering other properties.

Very close to the Barcelona Airport. New and clean room. It's difficult to find since the street address is not very clear. It will help if more direction is given. Despite of this, we had a comfortable stay to catch an early flight home.

Although under major renovations we didnt notice any noise on the two recent visits to the Alfa Aeropuerto.( nearly completed ) we found this 4 star hotel excellent value although it is well out of the city center. The courtsey coach was a godsend, picking people up from the door at the airport (when you exit the airport turn left and walk down past the row of taxis to the courtesy coach stop. There is a pole with the hotel telephone numbers displayed or just wait app. every 15 minutes.the hotel itself was extremely comfortable, personally i didnt think much to the restaurant but the rest of my party thought it was good. Breakfast excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at Alfa Aeropuerto, except that it was very far from the city, as we knew, but there was no public transportation at all, and we ended up paying more than expected on taxi rides. Also, we were originally unaware of a shuttle that runs from the airport to the hotel and is free. It would have been nice to know that upfront and avoid yet another taxi ride.

This hotel is just a 5 minute ride from the airport...the cabbie was not too happy that we were so close, and he tried to double charge us for the ride there! Once there, the hotel staff was welcoming, and we checked in with ease. The room was a decent size, clean, and quiet. The bathroom was nice, and had a great shower. The restaurant was open until 11pm, and we had a pretty good dinner in the hotel's restaurant (we ate off the weekend menu, as we stayed on Sunday evening). In the morning, you can catch the hotel's shuttle as early as 5am back to the airport..this service is free, easy, and such a wonderful convenience!! There is nothing to see around the hotel, as it is in an industrial area, but we were only there for 8 hours or so (from arrival to departure). I would definitely stay here again.

despite overlooking the "market" the room was quiet. Excellent mini-bus service to and from airport and the city centre. Room prices good for a 4 star hotel although it was February. Buffet breakfast excellent + an english type if required. Breakfast 4 star price but limited eating places where situated. Good cheap bus service back to hotel from city centre. Limited space for "coffee shop" where snacks are available. Overall very satisfactory.

Unfortunately difficult to reach after 11 PM (Only by Taxi); it's a good intermediate stay from or to the airport, if you have a late or early flight, with a free shuttle service. Nice and clean rooms.
