Breakfast is good - tea and coffee, toast, continental cheese ham and bread along with yoghurt fruit toast and cereal. The hotel is ideally placed just off the dam square. The frontal rooms do pick up some street noise but not to an extent that it bothered me. The beds are very comfy! Rooms are more spacious that the pictures do it justice. Bathroom clean with a nice big bath! Our room was cleaned everyday! Overall excellent for a city centre retreat.

Loved the location--so easy to find things. rooms are modest, breakfast was ok, but plan on getting out for pannkoekan (a sort of crepe with anything on it.) For the price, very nice. Adequate and clean if not luxurious. We did find it a bit difficult to find good restaurants nearby. Could have used a little more help on that from desk.

The hotel is located in the center of Amsterdam. You can reach most of the interesting sites by walking. Lot's of opportunities for eating and drinking outside. The Hotel is inside a historical building, therefore not everything is as in a new modern hotel. It's cosy and offers what you need when visiting such an exiting city.

This hotel is in a great location and is easy to find. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was great - a lot of selection. However we were not able to access the wifi from our hotel room. It was only available downstairs in the common areas. Overall it was a good experience and i would stay there again.

We have stayed here several times before and the staff know us. They cannot be more obliging. The hotel is clean, quiet, centrally located and value for money. The only small downside is the lack of variety for breakfast. Something hot would make a refreshing change.

Basic hotel but superb location - will probably use it again. Ten minute walk from the station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast adequate and they don't mind you taking fruit out with you. There is tea/coffee in the room but the cups provided are poor and the supply of creamer is not enough.

The location and quality of the hotel was excellent. The outside of the hotel had been kept traditional. I needed a triple room and the pullout bed was a proper bed so it was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were excellent at restocking the breakfast. The price I paid did seem expensive but I think it compared with the other hotels in Amsterdam. I really recommend this hotel.

3 star of est europe hotel.. old and not clear (don't reline the bad in the morning). Best West is usualy more confortable! The price 120€/night is more for this kind of hotel, it's right for the Best West that I visited. Only positive point: the position; near central square.

Very friendly staff, great location: hotel is situated in the very citycenter equally close to all the attractions). We had "2+1" beds room. The room was very spacious! It was also very clean by our arrival, but it was not cleaned properly during our stay (4 days). Another minus (at least for me): no mini-bar. Sufficient breakfast, nothing extraordinary. The hotel is very well located though the room we were allocated was in a basement: not exactly what you would expect when you pay €115 per night!Apart from the unwelcoming man at the reception (who should be tought some basic customer service rules) the staff at the breakfast was warm & friendly.

We had an attic room with no view or window only a large velux type roof light. It could be opened to allow good ventilation and for a winter visit it was fine. Except for the employee who was at the reception when I got in, who was alone to receive me and therefore made me wait longer than expected, the others were quite nice...I don't know why they keep the information on the site that "smoking rooms are available on request" because they are also following the smoking free law of Amsterdam...the location is great for a one night stay like mine because the hotel is close to the "must see" sites of the city!

The room was exceptionally small and not too clean. We booked for the previous night to get some sleep upon arrival after an international flight and were interrupted by loud knocking by houskeeping one hour after arriving, waking us out of a sound sleep. This was our first Tulip Inn stay and probably won't book one again.

We were upgraded from a room to a suite, which was a nice surprise, but there was a noticeable layer of dust on the suite's ceiling rafters, and the acrylic tub had cigarette burns. Breakfast was the usual Dutch buffet (squishy rolls, everything else OK). On the whole, I'd rate the hotel adequate, and the location is certainly convenient. (Our impressions may have been colored by the fact that we'd just arrived from Germany, where midrange hotel standards tend to be higher than in Amsterdam.)

They gave us all the informations we required. We had the breakfast in the hotel and it was complete and very good (great coffee)! The room was not so beautiful as the picture in the web site but was however clear and good. We payed less than we thought (not 115,50 euro but 110 euro per night) and when I will go again to Amsterdam I will book of course Tulip Inn DamSquare with Venere.com! I stayed at this hotel for one night. The receptionist was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is great, given its centrality and easy reach from the trainstation. On the downside, I imagine the hotel (at least those rooms located on the street side) to be quite noisy during the summer months (when one wants to have the windows open), because a pub is located right across.
