3 star of est europe hotel.. old and not clear (don't reline the bad in the morning). Best West is usualy more confortable! The price 120€/night is more for this kind of hotel, it's right for the Best West that I visited. Only positive point: the position; near central square.

Central location,no doubt-but open the hotel doors, which have to be locked and find drunks etc lying on doorstep.Great breakfast, though.

Ideal central location for all main sights. Breakfast selection good. Rooms clean but quite basic and had expected slightly better extras eg. plastic cups and no biscuits. Very helpful and friendly staff. We had a room at the front which was a bit noisy early morning and last thing ay night.

Room could be better cleaned. The lamps beside the beds and on the walls could'nt have been dusted for weeks. And it was impossible to read in the room because the room was too dark, not enough light.

Very good experience, the hotel was accomodative to our request for early check in. Room quality was above expectations and the staff was good. Nice breakfast as well.Would recommend to all travellers looking for a nice, pleasant stay in amsterdam.

Very friendly staff, great location: hotel is situated in the very citycenter equally close to all the attractions). We had "2+1" beds room. The room was very spacious! It was also very clean by our arrival, but it was not cleaned properly during our stay (4 days). Another minus (at least for me): no mini-bar. Sufficient breakfast, nothing extraordinary. Very calm and cozy hotel. I recommend it!

The hotel is very well located though the room we were allocated was in a basement: not exactly what you would expect when you pay €115 per night!Apart from the unwelcoming man at the reception (who should be tought some basic customer service rules) the staff at the breakfast was warm & friendly.

Perfect location for sight seeing and home coming at night. As family with child we had everything we needed, a location which is central but in a save district. We can really recommend it!

Great location - if a little hard to find. We would definitely stay again. Our room was at the back: I wouldn't have wanted a room at the front; it could be noisy.

If your flying into Amsterdam, taxis from the airport will cost you round £35-£50 your best bet is use the train they are every 15 Min's to the center station and costs round £7 they are clean quite and comfortable, also the station staff speak English and will help you when buying a ticket.

Very pleased with my the stay. The room was quiet at night and the windows were able to be opened. Very good beds! But the reading lamps by the beds were very weak, and the same with the bathroom lamps. And use of Internet was very expensive! Although, the room was cosy and the hotel very sentrally. Very close to alle attractions, museums, shopping areas and all the cosy coffee bars! Would definitely stay there once more!

We had an attic room with no view or window only a large velux type roof light. It could be opened to allow good ventilation and for a winter visit it was fine. The room was adequate with tea and coffee making facilities. the bathroom was small but very modern. We would recommend this hotel as it provided good accommodation for the price and it is situated just off Dam Square.

Except for the employee who was at the reception when I got in, who was alone to receive me and therefore made me wait longer than expected, the others were quite nice...I don't know why they keep the information on the site that "smoking rooms are available on request" because they are also following the smoking free law of Amsterdam...the location is great for a one night stay like mine because the hotel is close to the "must see" sites of the city! Nice stay, the option for the next time!

The location is the main reason for choosing this hotel. The room I got at the ground floor is just for sleeping; no view at all (window higher than me), low quality TV-signal. welcoming people at the reception etc, but not more than a 2 star hotel.

We were so impressed with the facilities and staff (especially Danielle)that we immediately booked a room for family that plan to be in Amsterdam for the New Year's celebrations. Excellent location behind the church on Dam Square. The breakfast was plentiful in both selection and servings.

Tulip Inn really is perfectly located within the heart of Amsterdam. The rooms were decently clean, and breakfast was great. My only complaint is I was in the room near the elevator shaft, and could hear it whenever the elevator was in use.

The room was exceptionally small and not too clean. We booked for the previous night to get some sleep upon arrival after an international flight and were interrupted by loud knocking by houskeeping one hour after arriving, waking us out of a sound sleep. This was our first Tulip Inn stay and probably won't book one again.

We were upgraded from a room to a suite, which was a nice surprise, but there was a noticeable layer of dust on the suite's ceiling rafters, and the acrylic tub had cigarette burns. Breakfast was the usual Dutch buffet (squishy rolls, everything else OK). On the whole, I'd rate the hotel adequate, and the location is certainly convenient. (Our impressions may have been colored by the fact that we'd just arrived from Germany, where midrange hotel standards tend to be higher than in Amsterdam.)

Stayed here before so new it was in perfect location for what we wanted. Reserved a triple room which had plenty of space (3 adults). The rooms were not that quiet at night which would be my only comment. Breakfast was ample although would prefer a toaster so could have toast in the morning! Overall had a fab stay and would definately come again

Hotel is very conveniently located at the heart of the city, and the staff are very friendly. The entrance lobby is small and the rooms were also very small but nicely appointed. There was some maintenance work taking place in the hotel while we were there which ws a little disruptive, though not noisy.

Although not near the canals, the Tulip Inn is very centrally located, easy walking (even with luggage) from the train station. It was very hot the day I arrived and the room was super cooled when I checked in. I only stayed one night but I would return again. A very good bargain.

Excellent location, within easy walking distance to various sites and the train station. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. One MINOR copmplaint is that the room did not have a clock/alarm clock. The only way to tell what time it was was to turn on the TV to a local news station.

Great and quite place to stay! Near, very near to Dam Square, beautiful location in the heart center of the city! We had a great welcoming from the staff that is very competent and kind! They gave us all the informations we required. We had the breakfast in the hotel and it was complete and very good (great coffee)! The room was not so beautiful as the picture in the web site but was however clear and good. We payed less than we thought (not 115,50 euro but 110 euro per night) and when I will go again to Amsterdam I will book of course Tulip Inn DamSquare with Venere.com! I'm very happy to have been there and I recomend it to everyone who don't want any "bad surprise" from the reservation. If you want more information write me!

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The receptionist was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is great, given its centrality and easy reach from the trainstation. On the downside, I imagine the hotel (at least those rooms located on the street side) to be quite noisy during the summer months (when one wants to have the windows open), because a pub is located right across.
