Best Western Hotel Le Vinci Loire Valley - Amboise

The room was fine, but the location is bad. The walk to town for dining is too long and uphill on the return. Don't try it in dress shoes or heels! Breakfast was overpriced, so we had coffee in the room.

Hotel is very pleasant and is in residential area.We walked into town which took about 20 mins. Could have driven - free parking along the river when we were there. Breakfast expensive at 12 euros. Loads of places to eat in town.Really enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant hotel only a short drive (or middling to long walk) into the center of Amboise. Plenty of free parking.

Rooms are clean. Staff are very friendly. The rooms are rather small and a little noisy (you could hear the noise from the street and the rooms next door). Breakfast was good.

We stayed 2 nights. Our room faced the main highway (road) and had considerable traffic noise during the day. Given the rural location of this hotel, this was not expected. The hotel has minimal services and amenities in and around it. It is a ten minute drive into town (Amboise) for food and other services.

The Coffe Machine installed in the room was not clean it was disgusting !!!!! There was also durty things on chair and the the bottle of shampoo which was empty was not replaced !!!!

Très propre, très agréable. Wi-fi excellent. Matelas un peu ferme pour nous, autrement excellent. Nous n'avons pas pris le petit dej.

Very good hotel, nice , warm atmosphere, clean room, good enough English skills of the receptionist, good breakfast, big free parking. Hotel is located 20 min walking distance from the main square of Ambois. Would recommend and stay again in this hotel

We enjoyed our first trip to Amboise and our stay at the Le Vinci. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us each morning with a smile and cheerfuly assisted us with recommendations on restaurants and historic sites. Also, our hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Internet service needs to be updated - current machine is too old and runs Windows98. Could not access required email accounts. To us this was a serious lack of service.

I usually do not answer any survay of a hotel but I have to tell you that in my 2 week trip to Europ this was the cheaper hotel and the best hotel. Best Western was not my frist choice and I had not very good perception of this hotel chain but I can tell you that I was really sorprised. You can smell the soap since opening the room door, was very spacious the room, very clean, modern, the breakfast ok and the service excellent! In Amobise there is not a metro as in Paris and London and there are very few taxis, the downtown is not a corner but it is 5min walking. The people who works there really try to help and are very aware of how to service the customer.

We stayed in Amboise for 7 days and used the hotel as a base from which to explore the Loire valley. Being on the edge of the town it was very convenient to get started on our explorations in the morning, and Amboise is quite central with regards to the chateaux of the Loire. A number of reviews mentioned the lack of restaurants in the immediate area: it took us (a couple in our mid 40's)20 minutes easy stroll downhill to reach the centre of Amboise - which helped our appetite! The walk back uphill took longer, but the roads were quiet enough (a concern when we booked was that the hotel may have been on a busy, commercial, road - it isn't)and such a walk was seen by us as an after-dinner "constitutional".

It was a real pleasure the stay in this hotel. There everythig looked perfect. Most precisely I will not miss this hotel in my future trips in France

Everything great, Just missed wifi access. I just have a small point. Instead of Venere's rules they charge you the bill shortly before booking.

Comfortable, clean hotel in great surroundings. Good quality breakfast. Only minus was that the towels were not changed daily, and the bathroom supplies not replaced daily. Also, no bidet. A 3-star in Italy rank as 4-star in France, following these criteria.

Excellent hotel, easy walking distance into Amboise and well placed for visiting chateaux throughout the Loire Valley area. Good facilities and very helpful, friendly staff

We spent 2 nights in this beautiful area of my childhood dreams.The location and quietness of the hotel was perfect,though the superior rooms were rather small in size.Thanks to our navigator in our rented car,travelling among the chateauxs was easy and amusing.Hotel's concierge Gilles,was so helpful in all aspects,especially in suggesting gourmet restaurants.We had an unforgettable vacation.I strongly recommend the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here, the rooms were very nice, and the staff very friendly and helpful. A car is essential as it is on the outskirts of the town.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean reasonably spacious, however the hotel is some distance from the city centre, OK if you are travelling by car.

I would like to thank all the staff for their overall service especially in a troubled time of a French rail strike we encountered. The 3 desk staff were the most helpful I have encountered in a long while - service is not dead. My wife & I stayed 5 nights, a car would be beneficial for this location if you are staying more than 3 nights. French rooms are smaller than Kiwi's are use to but this was quite ample. The breakfasts were v/good too.

Best Western, really great value. A little out of town but very quiet. All facilities except free internet.

Only draw back to this hotel is it's location. It is not within walking distance of the towm but it is an excelent hotel.
