This is not a 4 star hotel whatsoever. They offered us a smelly room for smokers saying that it was the only one available (we made the reservation well in advance). Rude and arrogant receptionist. Very poor quality buffet for breakfast. After the first night we moved to another hotel.
How to reach Bastion Deluxe Hotel Maastricht Centrum
By car
Leave the motorway at Maastricht. At the first traffic light, turn right towards Centrum-Wijk, then cross the bridge over the Mass river and keep on the right lane. Take the first on the right, following the signs of the hotel. Once at the T-junction, turn right and keep going straight till the third traffic lights. Turn right into Boschstraat and after 25 metres you will see the hotel, on the left.
By train
From Maastricht main railway station, take one of the numerous buses to Markt. Once in Martk square you will see the Mickelers statue, from where Boschstraat starts. Take Bochstraat, and after about 500 metres you will see the hotel on the right.
By airplane
From Amsterdam Schiphol airport take the exit towards Utrecht/Amersfoort, continue along the A2 highway, then follow the aforementioned indications.
