Hotel Barceló Costa Vasca - San Sebastián

Very poor air conditioning and extremely bad internet. Good breakfast

This is a nice and modern hotel. The rooms are very small, but it is nice to have a balcony. The only issue we had is that the room was very hot and we could not use the AC unit because it was centrally controlled. At certain periods of the year they control the room’s temperature to cut energy costs but in our case it ended up being an issue because we stayed there in mid-May and the weather was warm enough to heat the room and made it uncomfortable. Oh! And we were bummed that the pool was closed also. At least the weather was nice! The hotel is located in a beautiful area but is it far from San Sebastian’s beach and old city center, on foot is about 30+ minutes and it is a beautiful walk but the hotel is on a hill, so if you are heading towards the beach/city is downhill and if you are heading back to the hotel is uphill, which can be challenging after a long day site seeing. You can also jump on a bus and the concierge can help you with that. I suggest you check out the spa!

Large hotel, updated and modern in a residential area, about a 35 minute walk from the old city of San Sebastian. Rooms were quiet and comfortable but they did not have enough storage space. Buffet breakfasts were way overpriced.

I had problem to have internet connection from the room. the hotel charges too much for using the internet in the hotel computer in the loby ( 5 euro for half an hour!...).

The hotel is very good and has parking on teh premises. It's a bit far from teh old city but overall OK.

Excellent Hotel, very modern.

The hotel was exceptional value for the cost. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The decor was contemporary but comfortable, the balcony was a bonus. The shower was challenging to operate but definitely worth it. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. The location was slightly out of the main hub but within walking distance, a bus stop out the front and taxis cheap from the centre of town. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Nice place, reallly beautiful, a bit far from the city center you need a cab to move there, was raining almost of the day, but the views and the room is amazing!!

This hotel is a little further from the old town than I would have preferred. They do correctly state that they are (as I recall) 300 metres from the beach, but it is not the beach that is most popular which is fine during the day but a bit distant from the night time action.

A good place for transient guests like us - well represented in the advertisement
