Nice place to stay. Close to Verona with bus connection to the Arena and the railway station. Lovely breakfast and very welcoming host. Also very nice that we could park the car inside the garden. We got tickets for the Aida opera in the Arena. A wonderful experience even for us opera novices. As the opera finished an hour after midnight, we were pleased that it was that easy to get a taxi back to Avesa (at a cost of less than 12 euro)!

Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert

Wonderful B&B with bus link to Verona. Off road parking was great. Room great and breakfast superb with fresh baking and espresso coffee in the room. Walked to a local restaurant recommended by the owner [El Capitel] which was also excellent. This is a first class place.

It's good to know that the bus #23 goes directly from the terminal bus station to the B and B in Avessa.. cost is only 1.20 euro. a cab will take approx 15 to 20 euros.from the bus stop it's very easy to find the B and B. Breakfast are amazing and the hostess is great.I would definitely recommend it..there is tiny beautiful church at the end of the street ( more like a chapelle) and this district is very friendly. we had a great cappuccino at " chez leon"//

Stayed here for 3 nights in July 10. Lovely experience. Loved the peaceful, easy breakfasts at our little table in our room. Genius idea to have a nespresso coffee machine in the room so nice coffee always easily available and microwave if you wanted hot milk for cappuccinos. And stocked fridge of juice, yoghurt, milk, water, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit always replenished. And then the basket of fresh baked breakfast stuff was lovely. Note that, in the heat, this is left in the shade of their big porch rather than outside the room. Like other posts have said small things like fact we used a sachet of honey at our first breakfast (we like on fruit & yoghurt) meant that when we came back from being out, there was a whole big pot of delicious local honey waiting for us. Avesa is a short easy bus ride away so don't worry that you will be too far out.

We had two wonderful one-night stays, first on our outward trip and then on our homeward journey. The family were very welcoming and the room was beautifully presented, spacious, and cool for our family of four. The private off-road parking gave us peace of mind and the breakfast was fantastic, with fresh Italian coffee, croissants, yoghurts, orange juice, and home made cakes. We hope to stay again and highly recommend La Camaldola and especially Verona.

We have staid in La Camaldola for three days in the spring. Signora Elisabetta is a wonderful hostess, the rooms are lovely, big enough for a family of four. Every morning we could enjoy a rich breakfast in our own room, there were coffee- and tea-facilities, a fridge, everything we needed and more. We liked the big garden (although we couldn't enjoy it because of the bad wheather) and found it very practical to leave the car and take a bus directly to the center of Verona. Nearby is a good pizzeria and a VERY good trattoria (ask signora Elisabetta). We will certainly come back!
