Bed and Breakfast Dimora del Viaggiatore - Verona

It was terrible! It's sutiated in the end of the city near the road. Very dirty. We arrived at 19.08 o'clock after long day and there wasn't hot water. We get hot water only at 21.00 o'clock. Check out is in 10.00 o'clock and not 12.00 as usual. The place is called bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is not included! (I didn't know this, because at every place I were in Europe B&B means bed and breakfast). We took the tea and the butter from the kitchen and were drinking the tea with our products. I was supprised when I was asking to pay for a breakfast. The owner told that according to HIS rules breakfast is not including in the B&B place. When I told her that that there was not hot water, that the coffee machine wasn't working, that the room is very dirty and after this I should pay for 3 cups of tea? (We took tea, bread and butter). She starts crying for us! I'm traveling a lot, living a lot in the B&B places and it was the first time where the breakfast was not included, where the owner is crying and telling to go out from his house. We paid 145 euro for 1 night for 3 persons and a child - the place is not beautiful, not friendly, very dirty, without breakfast. In other places near Verona we were living in B&B places for 90 euro per night - clean, friendly, with breakfast and hot water. They are calling themselves "Hotel Inn". The same name as the famous cheap hotel. When I was making reservation I was in hurry and thought that I make reservation in hotel. I think that I'm not along that making the same mistake.

The place is very far from the center of Verona, next to a highway. It is a walled-in compound with surveillance cameras, electronically opening gate and in there some shabby trailers. No tree in sight, some effort though to make some grow.. We didn't have the breakfast and this choice was confirmed by other guests who had been very disappointed. The inside of the room was somewhat shabby as well : Linoleum tiles that were glued to the wall had come off and when we stepped on it we had a hard time getting them off... This is not a place we would come back to or send our friends

This place was impossible to find with the directions we were provided. After searching for over an hour and asking multiple people and several U-turns, we found the property. We were quickly escorted in and then sent on our way with limited instruction and a GPS to a different location. We ended up staying in a different location because this property had been over-booked. We ended up paying the same amount for a room closer to the town with a property owner who spoke limited English and we had to park our car on the street. In addition, we were required to pay with cash for our two night stay when we were planning on paying with credit card, so this set our budget back a little bit. We would not recommed this property as a place to stay because of the way that the management handled our situation. With the language barrier, it was very difficult and frustrating and after driving around for over and hour to find the place, we just wanted to relax in our room, not be sent on another drive that took us 25 minutes to find our new location with the GPS. In addition, the GPS was taken away upon our arrival and according the the web-site, we were looking forward to enjoying the GPS in Verona and also the free mini-bar.
