This hotel is absolutely perfect for time spending in Venice. Truly, I can`t recommend better place then it. Of course, it`s not 5* hotel, but it`s the best area in Venice for living and walking. View to Guidecca canal is delightful. Highly recommend to visit owner`s restaurant. I`m not even talking about cuisine, it`s nice. I`m talking about service, and humor of waiters, it`s worth to get

Open your windows to the Guidecca canal. Water front on the Zattere in Dorsoduro. New bathrooms and kitchen. Air conditioned. Venetian breakfast is served in the restaurant next door. Enjoyed dinner there one night under the moonlight. Fabulous sunsets from the room. Use of laptop with free internet. Supermarket is less than 100 meters down the street.

A nice clean small (only three rooms) hotel worth recommending; staff is helpful and passionate. We enjoy our stay and we will book the room with canal view next time.

We were kept waiting for a long time to check in, There is no waiting area. The management asked for payment in cash and this was not stated when we booked. The location is nice but management should improve to attract tourists.

This property was VERY difficult to find. If you're booking there, it's on the Zattere, facing the Giudecca Canal. Take vaporetto #2, and get off at the San Basilio stop!

Great place to stay while visiting Venice. The staff always ready to meet your needs and make you feel welcome, clean family run business. Location- beautiful view of a major waterway and convieniently close to a major cruise port and center of activities. Would highly recommend and would stay here again. If the weather is hot, ask for an air conditioned room as not all are.

I have recently returned, with my wife, from a 4 night stay at the B & B Residenza Riviera. The B&B is easy to find - its close to the Saint Basilio Vaparetto stop. We collected our keys from the Residenza Restaurant ( its only a few doors along from the B&B). The B&B was fantastic - we had the room on the first floor with the four poster bed overlooking the canal and the views were lovely. We shared the bathroom with one other room - but it was empty so we had the whole floor to ourselves. The kitchen was great if you wanted to cook something and the fridge is handy for storing water/drinks and fruit which can be bought from the Bila supermarket which is not far from the B&B. (Its between the B&B and the St Basilo stop). The whole place was spotless. We had breakfast outside the restaurant and watched all the activity on the lake. It is in quite a quiet area but the walk along the Zattere is beautiful in the evening - you can get right along to the end and see over to the Doge's Palace. We loved this B&B and will be recommending it to all of our friends.

Venice was our entry point into Italy. Luca and Monica our hosts gave us the most amazing introduction to Italy. They were extremely welcoming and engaging and we were made to feel part of the family. The location and quality of the accommodation far exceeded our expectations. The room was luxurious and all area's were spotlessly clean. Every need was taken care of. From sightseeing, shopping, dining and transport we could not have been better catered for. Their restaurant is superb and well worth the 30 second walk from the B&B. If you want to experience all that is Venice, then stay here. We will definitely return and recommend this B&B to our friends and family.

It was a little hard to find the actual B and B because it is not clear that you have to go to the restaurant on the main road. However it is definitely worth finding this place. It was wonderful! Luca and Monica were generous and perfect hosts and you should definitely eat in their restaurant it was amazing. Breakfast was great and the room was spotless and comfortable. It was also great to have the kitchen facility.

A really nice place to stay. We liked: within walking distance of the train/bus station, and all the major attractions (15min walk to st marco), very friendly and welcoming service, rather quite neighborhood, nice view over the canal, confortable rooms, reasonnable price, good breakfast. We didn't like: nothing, it was exactly as we expected. We had a wondefull week end and we believe you will not be disapointed.

The check-in was at Ristorante Riviera by the Fondamente Ponte Lungo just 50m right from the San Basilio vaporetto stop. The warmest welcome I've ever had to any B&B or hotel! We were offered a glass of wine or beer on the house while we waited for somebody to take us to the actual residence. We took our time sitting out on the terrace and soaking up the May sun. Breakfast was served at the restaurant Riviera some 50m away and consisted of coffee/tea, fresh orange juice and croissant. In Italian fashion there was only jam to put on your bread so we brought our own prosciutto for our north European craving for something savory in the morning. But the location was fantastic - on a sunny morning we were sitting outside by the water and enjoying the view while contemplating what to do that day. We had a twin room which was spacious enough with a closet for our clothes and a small side table with chair. The only thing we found missing in the room was a trash can! The bathroom was shared but there was only one other room on our floor so it wasn't a problem. We got a glimpse of the double room facing the canal side and it was really lovely with a 4-poster bed and antique furniture. Everything was recently renovated and in impeccable order. There was also a shared kitchen where you could make coffee/tea or even cook for yourself if you so wished. We only used the fridge for our prosciutto and some drinks. The area was lovely with many art museums within walking distance. The waterfront was a nice place to stroll along with a giandiutto ice cream from gelateria Nico (a must in Venice!)in hand. If you took the other direction to the end of the small alleyway where our B&B was, you found beautiful and quiet canal views. Overall, a fantastic location away from the busiest tourist hubbs but still very close to everything! We're coming back!

Beautiful place with an amazing view. Right on the Guidecca canal. Easy walking distance to most of the sights and close to 2 vaperetto stops (Zattere and ?). The room was spacious, clean and lovely. Breakfast was ample and tasty. Restorante Riviera is ran by the owners of this place and it is where you pick up the keys from. Definately have a meal there, the food is outstanding and the service is warm and entertaining.

Dear all, We can really recommend this address. We paid EUR 90.-/day. There was one WC with shower and a kitchen on the same floor for 2 rooms, but it is really not a problem. It is very clean (towels, …), comfortable, with free coffees (Espresso machine), biscuits, soda drinks. You can even cook something if you like… They propose also spacious room with view on the channel (really beautiful) for EUR 120-140.- Internet access is free and the peoples are very charming. We got even free champagne glass for twice… Please note that their restaurant is quite gastronomic with really accessible prices. We really spent a nice time. Take care; the dot on the map is wrong located. The Hotel is close to “Zattere” Boat station coming directly from the airport (RED line, EUR 13.-) or the train station (N°2, EUR 6.50). Very simple access! Kind Regards Nancy & Eric

My brother and I stayed 4 nights at Residenza Riveria. We are both very experienced travelers and have been to Venice before. We whole-heartedly recommend this B and B. Its location, on the water, between two Vaparetto (water bus) stops is crucial for travelers, especially those who are lugging their baggage. The hosts, Lucca and Monica, welcome and treat you as a guest in their own home, which it was until recently. The rooms were spotless, we NEVER SAW A BUG, and there was no hustle, bustle, and clanging of a regular hotel. Especially nice was the kitchen located outside our bedroom, stocked with coffee, pastry, and a place to sit with a computer and catch up on email. Would go back in a heartbeat and I would take my wife, daughters, and parents without hesitation.

It took us 1 hour to find the location, because the description was poor and INCORRECTLY indicated on the map. As Venice is a labyrinth, this was a bit upsetting.

We stayed in Venice 3 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. Residenza Riviera is half a block from the boat stop San Basilio so it is very easy to get to. This B&B is new and intimate - only a few rooms. It is extremely clean and best of all, our room was large and its 2 big windows overlooked the Canale della Giudecca so we could wake up to watch the boats on the water and watch the sunsets in the evening. But most importantly, the owners Luca and Monica were amazing. Always friendly and helpful - whether providing an extra pillow or telling us where to get the best gelato at 11pm, they really made our stay extra special! Breakfast is served in your room or in their restaurant downstairs, where you should really also try the food. I can't say enough good things about them except to say "We can't wait to get back to Venice!"
