This was our first time to Venice and we loved every minute of it. Giorgio made our stay absolutely perfect. The location is more or less in the heart of Venice in a typical Venetian building - just absolutely gorgeous. The room was spacious, clean (serviced every day) and more than enough food for breakfast. As we arrived at midnight (our flight was delayed) Giorgio picked us up from Santo Angelo (how he knew that the water taxi would stop there - I don't know, but he did). He also gave us names of lovely places to eat and ideas of what to do. We certainly would recommend to stay at Santo Stefano Bed & Breakfast and cannot thank Giorgio enough for his hospitality . We love to go back and stay there again.

Giorgio, the owner, gave us a lot of useful information on places to go for eat outside the tourist main stream. Daily cleaning an towel change and filling up fridge with goods for self-service braekfast. Alrhough the room is in the 4th floor we would come back to that place. Grazie, Giorgio!

Small centrally located b/b.Very welcoming and helpful owner.Might not suit people with mobility problems.5 flights of stairs.Bedroom with self-catering breakfast/kitchenette.The accomodation more than met our expectations and we would have little hesitancy in recommending it to friends. There is easy access to all parts of central Venice on foot or vaperetto. All in all an excellent experience.

We loved our stay in this b&b. It is in a quiet area, but very close to Ponte Accedemmia, and a 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The b&b is very quiet, clean, and the owner, Giorgio is really friendly. Yes, you have to walk up the stairs, but it is totally worth it.

This is a one room B&B. The owner was wonderfully helpful and took the time to orient us and answer all our questions. The room is self-contained with a kitchenette and fully stocked to make our own breakfasts. It is a great area. I highly recommend this B&B for a wonderful experience in Venice.

Warm welcome. Clean and pleasant. Great to have the apartment facilities. Excellent location. I had been warned about the stairs and found it fine especially after walking over numerous ponte in Venice! Would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic place to stay!! We were thrilled when we arrived - our own studio apartment in the heart of Venice, although it was a little bit hard to find. The owner is very helpful and showed us some great places to eat. A great location, easy walking distance to most places and close to waterbus stops. I would recommend Santo Stefano to anyone wanting a fantastic, but affordable stay in Venice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was great (relatively central, quiet surroundings, good airconditioning and a wonderful self catering breakfast). Giorgio, our host, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would definately stay here again. The only caveat I would add is to beware if you are not able to climb stairs.

FANTASTIC!!!! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Santa Stefano for 3 nights, we have just returned and wish we had stayed for longer! The apartment is very easy to find from the water taxi at San Marco, just make sure you have a map. We arrived quite late at night and the owner, Giovanni was there to greet us. Giovanni was amazing, very helpful and informative. He explained the different types of restaurants to us and provided us with a map. He also made list of the best restaurants for us to attend during our stay. The apartment is located in a great location. It was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and it was kept spotlessly clean during our stay. I loved every minute in Venice and would recommend staying at the Santo Stefano. I can't wait to re-visit and will most def be staying again!

A great option for central Venice. Having a kitchen makes a massive difference when food in Venice is so expensive, and generally poor. A really nice room with a helpful owner.

We stayed there in October 2009 and were really delighted - it was clean, comfy, warm and like staying with a mate. Giorgio was a fantastic host - discrete but available and always friendly. He couldn't have done more to make our stay enjoyable, including the warm jam tart when we arrived, the delicious fresh fruit, the topped up breakfast fridge, maps and directions, the wifi, looking after our bags on the last day, it's like having a friend in Venice before we arrived. We'd definitely go back there. Thank you Giorgio!

The location of this B&B is excellent and easy enough to find, only a few minutes walk from the Accademia bridge. The 4 storey climb in a stairwell that is being renovated is worth it just for the quiteness you get in the room. A very generous breakfast, which included eggs, was provided daily. We liked the independence of having our own kitchen corner and also not having to go through someone else's house to reach our room. Giorgio the host was most helpful and welcoming. The price/quality of this B&B is certainly superior to other accommodations we previously used in Venice and we would definitely return. Thanks and ciao Giorgio.

Lovely simple accomodation in the heart of Venice. Clean light room, lovely little kitchen area, small, but with everything you need, we couldn't think of anything that was missing.Sheets and towels changed after two days. Excellent breakfast, plenty provided and it was nice to have a botttle of Prosecco to welcome us on arrival. Don't be put off by the entrance hall, the property is being renovated! Four flights of stairs so you have to be able bodied! Nearby Santo Stefano is a lovely place to sit and eat or drink and people watch. The Accademia Bridge and Galleries are nearby but then again so is most of Venice! Do spend time just walking and sitting watching people and the world go by. A much recommended, well priced room for this most expensive city!!

Very well situated. Excellent welcome and suggestions from the owner. Concerts available in the same area at the time of the visit (Sept-Oct). Towels can be changed on request. Toilet paper is added on demand as well as any item for breadfast. Traces of mold on the wall following a recent storm. No elevator and the room was on the fourth floor.

The B&B is a wonderful pearl in the heart of Venice, a well furnished neat light apartment in a quiet tiny street. It is amazing how owner's delicate attention to details made us feel home in a completely different environment. We'd love to stay in this kind of apartment on our every trip. My only regret is that this occasions are surprisingly rare. The host, Georgio, apart from being helpful and welcoming, is very intelligent and well-educated. He is an interesting individual to talk with and that would be a great pleasure for us, but unfortunately we had no good chance due to very tight-scheduled visit. We would definitely stay there again. I've attached a photo of the front door in order to help Georgio's guests to overcome hesitation before pressing the door bell. The 3rd floor green shutters are apartment's 2 windows.

We had a great stay in Venice partly because our accom at B&B Santo Stefano was so good. The owner Giorgio corresponded efficiently by email, provided maps & directions, met us upon arrival, and made us feel very welcome. The big room is beautifully refurbished with close fitting windows & shutters helping to keep the street noise down. It is in a convenient location, and even provides fresh eggs for breakfast (not easy to find in Italy). Well recommended.

This place is a huge bargain for Venice. The catch is that it is quite hard to find the first time you arrive. It might be helpful if the owner were to post a map that was clearer than the one we got. It is also a 4 floor walkup which is challenging with bags. Otherwise, it is a very pleasant place that is very conveniently located. It is a fraction of the price of other properties in Venice. The owner was very friendly and helpful. His English is quite good.

Very comfortable accommodations close to the Accademia and within walking distance to all sites. The top floor studio has been updated and breakfast was especially good. The owner is very helpful and happy to explain the history of the building, the neighborhood, etc.. The downstairs, like much of Venice, is humid and musty but the upper floor where the apartment is located is calm (except for the inevitable construction noise all over the city). I would return there again.

This B&B was a great place to stay in Venice. Close to many sights. The host stocked the frig and pantry with thoughtful and tasty items that we appreciated. The unit was expensive for the square footage, but we know Venice is expensive. We wished there had been some throw rugs on the floor. The floor was nice but needed to be swept and cleaned because it was quite gritty. A way to dry the bathroom towels would have been a great plus. The fruit tart waiting for us in the pantry was a tasty and thoughtful surprise that we enjoyed. The windows kept out most of the noise from below. The windows needed screens so the mosquitoes could not come in to bite us ! The heater worked very well and was easy to use. The kitchenette was very well organized and thought out, great use of the space. We were pleased our host had one more night available for us to stay (from two nights to three nights). All in all this was a great place with a hospitable host who assisted us in many ways we truly appreciated !

We liked the kitchen corner which was very generously provided with food for our breakfasts, and the independence of having our own front door and not having to go through anyone's house to reach the room. Giorgio was most helpful with indications of where to eat locally. There is also a church - San Vidal - nearby, holding Vivaldi concerts which was an extra treat. The price was good and we will come back again. Ciao, Giorgio!

Free Wi-fi. It's like apartment - you get keys and come and go whenever you want. Kitchen corner, microwave and fridge. Excelent place for indepandant travelers, for those who like to make tea and also meals for themselves. Breakfest food is left every day and you don't need to eat it obligatory in the morning. Was little bit chill in November. Good recomendations of restaurants and places from Georgio who manages this place and lives next door the same floor.

My partner and I stayed in Venice for four days, what a unique and fascinating place. Santo Stefano was beyond our expectations. It certainly lived up to its description. Georgio was excellent. It is a spacious and modern apartment that easily meets and exceeds standard accomodation.

We had a wonderful stay in this B&B, was 10-15 min walk to most of the major tourist spots. I really want to put up a suggestion, to find this B&B, when you are arriving for first time in Venice is a bit hard especially late night, I think B&B should arrange a pick up facility atleast from the stop they advise people to get off from water bus. And follow the route, as it happened with us, and even you are so close to the building you might not find it. But overall it was all good, and would definitely comeback, Giorgio was full of information and was a great help. Thankx
