A high quality breakfast is served in the room. The hostess really cares, it is easily THE place where we have found ourselves really pampered. Take into account that one has to climb 5 short stairways, but after that one is home!

An excellent B&B. Claudette very welcoming and the rooms clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was great. We would definitely stay again. However the directions on the website are wrong. This B&B is just off Campo San Luca.

Claudete gave us a warm welcome and was very kind and helpful. For a Bed&Breakfast I didn't expect such a small and private setting. It's an appartment split into three rooms (apart from her own living area). The ambiance was great. Our room had it's own bathroom and blends with the classic style of the city. It even has a marble floor and marble fireplace. In a venetian hotel you'd maybe pay three times a much for such room, so it's really good value. Breakfast was served to the room at the time agreed upon at check-in.

A little hard to find but once we got there, a very friendly host welcomed us and gave advice on sightseeing and transport around the city. The room was nice but did not have aircondition so was very warm at night. Breakfast was average - no coffee was served because we left early (7.30 am).

This was the first time that my husband and I had stayed at a bed and breakfast and we loved it! Claudette was very welcoming, yet we had plenty of privacy. She brought us a huge and delicious breakfast each morning at the time of our choice. The location is perfect - it's in between the Rialto and St. Mark's. The rooms were spacious, clean and charming. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Venice - plus, it was a great value!

Enjoyed a lovely stay here. Very nice room, large and airy and in a great location near Rialto Bridge and just 10 mins walk to St Marks Square. Claudete was a great host, friendly and helpful and dished up a good breakfast. The only downside is getting a heavy case up a lot of steps to the room.

Intimacy, tranquility, one feels like in house. Exquisite cleanliness. The treatment of the owner is unsurpassable. The location of the very central hotel. The breakfast they serve it in the room. You never coincide with anybody, ideally for reserved, famous people... 10.

Good room at a fair price (in regard of the prices in Venice), very nice owner giving a lot of very usefull informations, especially good restaurants with fair prices. The B&B is located in a small street with no view (single bad point) but located very closed to the Rialto bridge and the public transports. A perfect deal for a week-end in Venice at fair price.

We stayed for 2 days - everything was perfect - SUPER hospitable Claudette; excellent location in the heart of Venice (3 minutes walking until Rialto bridge and vaporetto stop); light, spacious and clean room. We took a room with shared bathroom - it wasn't a problem at all, because bathroom was shared only between two rooms. We would warmly recommend this hotel to anyone. Perfect place from which to discover Venice.

Highly recommended, this is a cozy little B&B in a terrific location very close to Rialto. Spacious, clean rooms and Claudette is definitely one of the nicest people you will meet in Italy. Breakfast comes served to your room, which was nice. Great location, great price, great room, great host.

Would definately recommend this place to anyone going to stay in venice! The lady who runs it was so lovely, she recommended great places to see and also places for dinner, she was very helpful with any questions we had! Everything was very clean and tidy. I even took pictures of the room for inspiration of my own home decorating! We had one of the rooms with the shared bathroom, but it was always very clean and only shared with one other room, so there were no troubles of intersecting! Breakfast was amazing! Brought into your room at whichever time you selected in the morning (dont worry, it wasnt awkward liek i expected it may be) on a big tray with a big mix of cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee, milk, croissant and a little cake. it was set our lovely which always made my morning. There was no air conditioning, but we never had any troubles with heat, as there are big windows which open up and there was always a nice breeze coming from the water. In a very good position, sometimes at night, could hear people walking down the street takling, but this was ony as we had the windows open. There are a few stairs to get up to the rooms, but they are not a worry at all. Definately recommend this place!

The room is very spacious and clear. I like the design of the room very much. It is very simple and yet with style. The breakfast, especially the coffee is very good. Claudia is very helpful who showed us the most popular streets for our short visit. The location is actually at the heart of Venice, neary by square Luca but the street is quite hard to find. Remember don't refer to the google map. Overall speaking, it is good place to stay as compare with other 'hotel' in Venice.

The host, Claudine is very helpful and informative. Breakfast is substantial. Location is in a back street that is a little scary at first, but overall the place is quite safe as there is a cafe downstairs that always have some people movement. The only setback is that you need to climb 5 flights of stairs with your luggage to get to the room. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

From the outside the B&B was a little unexpected, but the room was very nice. Marble floors and very large space. Like many places in Italy, the wooden windows don't shut all the way, so mosquitos were a minor inconvenience. The owners were very nice and provided us with a map of Venice, along with suggested restaurants and walks. All in all, a surprisingly nice stay.

Staying at the Room in Venice was ideal. We were on a tight budget but wanted to be Central. The room was cosy and clean. Claudete was very helpful in recommending places to eat/drink etc. We were a stone's throw away from the busy centre of Campo di San Marco. The in-room breakfast was very simple, but sufficient. If you wanted a bigger breakfast, the Rialto market is extremely close by, where you can always buy fresh fruit. All in all, good and I would recommend it to a friend.

Everything was correct about the hotel but the sum wasn't equal to the parts. It was lacking atmosphere. Of the dozen hotels I've stayed at on this trip, this is the only one that I would not go back to. Yet, I do recommend the hotel as your experience may be totally different. I felt a bit processed, like a biz hotel, and less B&Bish. My room was noisy due to external noise. The windows were proper but had little ability to block noise. The hotel offers no Internet at all.

Room in Venice was our favorite B&B! Claudette was a fantastic hostess. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about everything having to do with Venice. She was able to help us get transportation directly to the airport among our departure and was able to suggest many restaurants and attractions that we should see during our stay. The B&B is beautiful and clean, and breakfast was more than sufficient. Everything about Venice, including the B&B was the perfect way to end our trip to Italy!

We stayed here in April 2008, Claudette was extremely welcoming and very helpful. The B&B itself was centrally located and within 10 minutes of St Mark's Square. I would recommend this B&B to anyone as it was very cheap for it's location and service provided

Very nice stay at downtown of Venice at Claudette`s b&b, close to St. Marko`s square and Rialto bridge. Very helpful and nice, good, sweet breakfast. It has been our first stay in Venice. Our stay was very short of only two days because we have three small children at home in Germany, but extremely impressive. At least because "Room in Venice" is so close to most important places in Venice. SURELY AGAIN!

We had a very comfortable, clean, pleasantly cool and beautifully decorated room with our private bathroom that was also very clean and had a shower in good working order, plus an ample breakfast - all that we could possibly want. The very central location was also great, only a few minutes to the Rialto bridge with its vaporetto station, or to St. Mark's Square. Only the noise from the street was occasionally rather loud, but then you probably have that problem in all the narrow streets of Venice. We had a very friendly welcome, all the help and information we needed during our stay and will definitely stay there again whenever we'll go to Venice again.

Claudete is a wonderful host! Our room was beautifully done and very comfortable. This bed and breakfast has only three rooms so it was very cosy and very quiet. We were given a map to use to find our way around Venice. Getting to the BB was a bit of a challenge but only because we had never been to Venice before. What a lovely city and what a lovely room we had. Breakfast was well done too.

We went to Room in Venice for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time there. Claudette is a great host and she will give you a map to get to the bed and breakfast that is easy to follow. The location of the B&B is perfect, very close to the San Marco square and at the same time remote enough not to be in the touristy area. We put 7 on the "quietness" because from the room we could hear all the different churches bells going on one after the other. But we actually loved it. To get to the B&B, you have to climb stairs, it's on the 3rd or 4th floor, but the stairs are large enough and so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to carry suitcases. Just be careful not to have too heavy ones... Our room had marble floor and antique furniture, a pink marble fireplace (we don't know if it works though... we were there in August)and two big windows with a view on one of Venice's tiny streets with bridges liking the buildings. A great view... In addition, since it's on the top floor, we had a lot of light in the room. We had a private bathroom that was very clean. The breakfast was brought in our room and was quite big, a lot of cookies and cakes that I remembered eating when I was a kid and we would go to see my family in Italy. A real italian breakfast :) Claudette was very good at helping us find restaurants or bars where we could go and drink "spritz" (go to Al Marca !!). She also helped us find information on concerts and shows going on in Venice during our stay. We have only good memories of our stay at Room in Venice and for sure we will go back to this b&b on none other when we'll go back to Venice. Thank you so much Claudette, we had a wonderful time !

Very nice room even if the front of the house is not very attractive. The mistress of the house is a very welcoming person. She always tries to help us or answer to everything. Perhaps, the windows could be change to stop the noise of the street, because it's easy to hear people outside.

This was exactly as it was described in the web site and in all of the web boards that I read. Truly a bed and breakfast stay, it’s actually in someone’s personal house. A walk up 3 flights of stairs to the main door and then a little common area that splits into 3 separate rooms. Our room had windows to the back alley (or front, not sure), but no view whatsoever, unless you can call office window on the other side of the alley a view. The bed was overdue for replacement and the mattress wasn’t comfortable at all. Oh, and there’s no A/C at all, not even as an option, not a good thing in the middle of the summer in Venice. So, what’s the good news about this place? The owner was really nice and friendly and very helpful with tips and recommendations about activities, etc. The location is almost in the heart of the attractions in Venice, enough off to the side and, but very close. The breakfast that we were served in the room was good and basic and filled us up until way after lunch, and on the morning of our departure we got to-go bags since we were leaving before breakfast time. Overall, a good place to stay at if you want to be close to everything and walk there. Bad place if you can’t live without A/C or need an elevator.

A lovely place to begin our vacation in Italy. The room was large and airy, and the owner was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was prompt and copious (if a bit sweet). Very good, central location in Venice (although the maps should really include every street name nearby to avoid confusion). Weak point was sharing a bathroom with one other room, but for half our stay, we had it to ourselves. When that room was occupied, however, we heard snoring because everyone's windows were opened in the summer heat. But I would still heartily recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Grazie ancora, Signora!

The hosts for this B&B are excellent. They really try to accommodate you and make you feel welcome to Venice. A few quirks that I don't think were clear on the web site. The rooms are up 5 flights of stairs. They will help you with your luggage, but it is just good to note after a long day walking around Venice. Also the directions on the map are terrible. The street name listed after leaving the water taxi doesn't appear on any of the maps. Basically, you turn right (away from the Rialto Bridge) after leaving the taxi, then look for the street Lorendo which is part of a longer sign name that has it on the Corner of Lorendo (sp) and Pisano (sp). After that the directions are true. The door is unassuming. There is a tiny brass name plate that states "Bed and Breakfast" to let you know you are at the right place. Aside from finding it, it was in a great location and the room was very comfortable.

A handy 5-7 minutes walk from both St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge (great map provided online when we booked), yet off the busy tourist route in a very quiet cul-de-sac. Only three rooms means excellent service (and plentiful breakfast in-room) from the friendly Brazilian Claudete, who went to trouble to research some stained-glass venues for us to visit. Furnishings nicely classic, room spotless with fresh cotton sheets, great bathroom. An excellent value-for-money pied-a-terre in central San Marco sistiere which we heartily recommend.

Claudette is a very nice host lady. It is not a problem if you have an additional wish. And if You like to ask her for special secrets in Venice you will hear some excellent recommendations. The room is located very closed to the Rialto bridge and we were very happy that it is located very central to visit not only the mainstream tourist sites. The price is excellent in regard to the Quality of Bed and Breakfest especially for Venice with its extremly high price level. It is necessary to improve the way sketch for foot path from Piazzale Roma to Rialto because the price of a oneway ticket of boat is expensive (5 EUR for 5 min) and Venice in the evening is a lot of trials and error. For us it was the best accomodation to start the discovery of Venice up to the last forgotten corner.

Our experience at Room in Venice exceeded our expectations. The B & B was easy to find following Claudete's directions and was in a spot close enough to everything we wanted to see, but not right in the middle of the tourist action. The room was exactly as it was presented on the Venere site and was just as elegant. Claudete, the proprietess, was charming and helpful and the breakfast she served in our room was perfect. I'd recommend this B & B to anyone staying in Venice. The only thing--the inn is located up several flights of stairs. We weren't troubled by the walk, but people with children should be aware.

B&B super!
