We stayed in the twin bedroom in the loft. It was spacious and clean and the air con worked wonders when we arrived back from a long hot day in Venice. Paulo the owner is lovely and so helpful, he leant us a map of Venice and helped us with waterbus numbers for different routes, he also speaks brilliant English! The morning breakfast was delicious and we ate it outside in the sun in the garden. The directions to the B&B were easy to follow although be warned when you arrive at the lido and take the bus to the B&B double check that your bus is going the correct direction down the island, (twice we got on the correct marked bus only to find it went down one end of the lido before turning round to go down the other end, was quite a long journey if you make this mistake.)We had a pleasant stay on the Lido and are glad we chose to stay there over mainland Venice, would definitely stay here again!

It's a lovely B&B. It is clean and comfortable. I got the email from the B&B after I booked the room. The email reminder me how to get there and buy the 72 hr ferry ticket! I check-in at 8 o'clock in the morning. They had already prepare the room for me!(how nice they are) It takes 35 mins from the train station to Lido island and takes 10 mins from the bus station(in front of boat station) to B&B.

I travelled with my daughter and we had a lovely stay. The only complaint that I would say is that one of the pillows was rock hard. Otherwise it was fantastic.

The Lady & Gentleman of the house are both knowledgeable and friendly, and the house itself is in a quiet and peaceful area. However, the room is in an attic, the access to which is via a spiral stairway, which is not all that user friendly. Not suitable for an elderly person of poor fitness. Also, you have to mind your head all the time when moving around in the room, as the ceiling is rather low.

The location was ideal for a stay of 4 days. It was quite easy to get to the center of Venice by bus and boat (about 25 minutes). We got a lot of information, we had a typical Italien breakfast in the garden with a phantastic coffee.

The B & B was lovely, and very welcoming and informative hosts. We found it was just a little too far away from restaurants, and sites. Once off the water taxi landing on Lido - it was another 10 min bus ride, and walk to B & B. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Venice is very expensive. The B&B price is related to that Okay. The italian breakfast is not what we are used to, but we were content, because it is the use of the country.=)It was really nice to have our own bathroom. The stairs to get to the room are very narrow. If you have a big suitcase you have to leave it downstairs! It was funny.

Paola and her husband are really nice and helpful. They keey their house very clean, quiet and wonderful! The B&B is near the beach and the island is beautiful! Having breakfast in their nice garden is a special bonus! They gave us a very good impression of Venice!

Paola and Ubaldo are great hosts and they can provide very useful information about Venice, transport, food etc. The room was very intimate, the breakfast and the discussions with Ubaldo during the breakfast were a nice way to start a day. Very familiar atmosphere.

Great place. At first I worried that we were too far from real Venice but later we found out that almost all places in real Venice were way too expensive and not nice- this place was great. Would suggest that the directions be a bit more specific for the bus stop and that they get wireless set up for guests - great plus and easy to do. I would suggest that one enjoy the island of Lido one day with Venice one day- we rented bikes and rode around and it was so nice- shopped and ate like the locals that day which was very nice.

Very warm and welcoming. We chose this B&B for its reviews and the price and I tell you it lived up to the expectations. The owners were really nice and accomodating. They helped us a lot. The B&B is a little far from Venice, about 20 minutes away, but buses and water taxi run 24/7. The location is nice and quite and the bus stop is within 100 meters. We stayed at the attic room and eventhough is a little unconfortable it didn't really bother us. They don't take credit cards which might be unconvinient. As long as you don't mind the distance and are traveling on a budget, this is a good place to stay.

This is a clean, quiet, private home that is about 20 minutes away from Venice by Vaparetto and bus. The owners are friendly, the home is clean and pleasant with air conditioning. You can borrow bikes to explore Lido or go to the beach. It was nice to get out of Venice to a place less crowded.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Bed & Breakfast Il Glicine Fiorito, the cosy room, the recreative quietness in the night, the view of the sea in the morning, the delicious breakfast and the nice and very interesting breakfast-talks with Mr. Toffanello, a tenant at the B&B, who showed us his consolidated knowledge of venetian history. We´re sure - at our next visit to Venice we´ll certainly stay at B&B Il Glicine Fiorito again!

We had a wonderful stay at Il Glicine Fiorito. Our hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful. We had left our passports at a previous hotel, and Paola graciously arranged to have them delivered to us before we left Italy. She was also kind enough to let us borrow an umbrella during an unexpected rainy period in Venice. Ubaldo offered us a simple breakfast daily (coffee, pastries, jams, yogurt, etc), at a time we requested. He also gave us tips on which waterbuses to take and things to see as first-time visitors to Venice. Both speak good English and have a pleasant sense of humor. Note to visitors: Lido is a lovely, quiet island that is a bit out of the way. We enjoyed this feature after traveling through larger cities, but some people might prefer to stay more in the thick of things. Not to worry, a quick bus trip/walk and a waterbus will take you into Venice (I can't remember the exact time it took--maybe 30 min?). Also, if you stay in the attic at this B&B you should know that the stairs a quite narrow and the ceilings are pretty low. Maybe not the best choice for older people or anyone that's very tall. Luckily we are able-bodied short folks. Since we requested a triple, a couple of us slept on cot-style beds but I think there are also regular beds available. This little place is well worth the bargain price.

This property was spotless! The family went out of their way to help us, including coming to pick us up at the water taxi station at 1:00 in the morning when we arrived very late because of a train strike, and getting up at 4:00 the next morning to take us back. The house was beautiful, the breakfast on the patio was perfect, and Lido was a quiet respite from the hustle-bustle of our trip. I would recommend this property to everyone.

This was another unexpected booking for a home-stay in our trip. Anyway, the house was lovely; the hosts were great; the room was spacious and comfortable. Some minor points of concerns were the location was a little bit far. It was not on Venice (YES! Lido island is not considered as part of Venice--from what the tourist info center said). We got lost every time we came back (missed the bus stop especially at night when everything was dark). All in all, this was a very good experience in a homestay in Venice, even though we missed the train b/c of the delayed boat!!!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom, but only needed to wait once during our 3 night stay. Paola and Ubaldo were very friendly and welcoming. Both spoke impeccable French and Italian. Their directions to the island from the train station were better than the vaporetto ticket sales people! We arrived a little late, but Ubaldo was still awake to greet us and help us take our bags to our room. The room was clean with bed and bath linens supplied. The bathroom was always in pristine condition. The breakfast in the garden on the terrace was simple, but very good. We actually looked forward to breakfast each morning, and the smiling faces of our hosts. Paola and Ubaldo went out of their way to give us directions to local sites, and a pharmacy where we could find contact solution. He even gave us some Venetian cookies to eat on the train ride to Rome for when we left! I would definitely stay there again.

Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

We stayed here on our honeymoon for 4 nights and found the hosts and location to be perfect. The bus service and water taxis make for easy trips over to venice at just about any hour (make sure you get an appropriate number of day pass for travel on bus/water taxi, it's cheap and easy to get, ask hosts). The location is quiet; a nice place to return to after a day of sight seeing. The hosts are fantastic and extremely welcoming. We felt right at home! The breakfasts were the best we had on our entire 3 week trip. In fact, this was the best place and experience we had on our entire trip. We highly recommend! You won't be disapointed.

What an experience we had with our wonderful hosts, Ubaldo and Paola. Our stay with them was one of the best parts of a 17 day trip around Italy. We experienced daily breakfasts in their lovely garden, helpful information about local sights and restaurants, and great conversation. These are people we'd love to have in our lives on a regular basis. The B & B was perfect for our taste: spotless, well appointed, with a shared bath which was always neat as a pin. Beach access to the Adriatic was close by (not the gated public areas) and we had a marvelous, refreshing swim. Lido was great, lending another side of Venice. Take the local bus from one end of the isle to the other to see it all. Hop off when you want to investigate something in particular.

Paola and Ubaldo are very nice people. We had a great time (3 nights) at Il Glicine Fiorito. They help you with any questions if needed. The room was fine and 100% clean. We enjoyed the airco as it was quite hot. The location (at Lido) is very convenient at only 75 m from a bus stop where you can jump on a bus every 10 min that will take you to the vaporetto in 10 min. Earlier we we're not sure about staying on Lido but looking back it was the best choice. We shared the bathroom with the owners but we never found it to occupied in these 3 days. We had nothing to complain but if we had to suggest an improvement it would probably be the breakfast. It was well done, on time with very good fresh cappucino but for the bread and croissants there was only sweets like jam, choco pasta etc. Don't worry, around the corner at 50m there is a great little local cafe where they serve great panini (sandwiches) for local prices. There is also a supermarket at 150m. Whenever we'll go to venice again we'll certainly be back at Il Glicine Fiorito.

We were very satisfied with this B&B. We would recommend it. Our room was very nice furnished and we had TV (Italian). The bathroom was very clean. We had to share it with the other guests but not with the owners. Although the B&B is situated near a big street, it was quiet at night. It was not far to the sea. The owners were very friendly and helpful: they gave us some useful information what to visit in Venice.

We had a wonderful time, Umbaldo and Paola are great host, nice, friendly and very helpful!! On the first night we came in late and did not eat yet, they called ahead to a local restaurant and asked them to stay open for us. The bathroom and room was spacious, very clean, and beautiful, only thing is to get to the room you need to go up narrow spiral stairs. I also really like their heating and AC unit (remote controlled and very sensitive). Breakfast is great, we had juice, good strong italian coffee, pastries, bread with butter and jam each morning. We will definitely go back.

Our room (double with private bath) was very clean but inconvenient. The bedroom is in the attic and we could only stand upright in the center of the room! The bedroom is reached by a very narrow circular staircase. We had to leave our suitcases on the landing outside the private bath. The vaporetto and bus connection to the B&B was good. Get directions, the road is new and the B&B is in the second block from the front.
