We toured Italy and stayed at many different hotels and bed and breakfasts. This was by far the best. This bed and breakfast is in the heart of Venice. If possible try and get the top floor suite, it has 2 floors with a nice private patio overlooking Casanova's house and the canals.

Great place, just a lot of stairs as we were on the top floor :)

We had the suite and we really appreciated our mezzanine room and the personal terrace with a nice view on a Venice canal. We had our break-fast on the terrace surrounded by birds on the other roofs around. We could see the gondols and Venice boats passing on the canal from our terrace. Very nice place we recommend it especially for honeymooners. The location is really great near the rialto bridge (5 minutes walk).

This was a reasonably priced and very centrally located B&B. Service was very friendly, and we had a wonderful time.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of San Marco yet away from the noise. There was ample room for four people in the two rooms (the bedroom is a flight up from the living room). The owner met us by the vaparetto stop and was very friendly; we were able to leave our luggage after checking out until our departure. Definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

Four of us stayed in the double-storeyed suite and it was worth every single dollar. Despite the fact that it's on the highest floor (accessible only by steps), it was a beautiful spacious place with generous amount of natural lighting. The large balcony outside the upper floor bedroom afforded gorgeous views, especially wonderful for spending a wonderful evening drinking wine. It was also great for breakfast which was brought to your room, and you can even feed seagulls on the surrounding rooftops from the balcony! Just remember to call the hotel when you are near to avoid having to wait.

Though we had a nice time in Venice, there was a terrible mistake that they made! I made our reservation 4 months before our trip. We really wanted to see the view of Venice from a terrace. My reservation was " one suite with private terrace and panoramic view ". Before I decide to make a reservation, I researched many hotels that the room had a terrace so I chose Locanda delle Acque. However the day we went there, they gave us a small dark room. They even didn't email or tell us before. We couldn't refuse it, because looking for another hotel would be waste of time. We were very very disappointed! How many times are you going to Venice in your life? They ruined our trip! Oh but, the person worked there was friendly and nice.

The pictures have nothing to do with the actual hotel. The rooms are dark, and not nice at all. Very expensive, comparing to others similar. Don't recomend it at all.

The rooms aren't large - what rooms are in Venice? - but the location is excellent, smack in the middle of everything, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Very easy to find. In a city famous for exorbitant accommodation costs, this place is excellent value, a real gem. Breakfast delivered to the room tops things off nicely. Highly recommended.

A perfect place and excellent value for money. Only downside was there was a communication problem so we couldn't let the proprietor know we were coming and so he didn't meet us. When he did arrive he did not take us to our room just said it was upstairs. We got confused and tried every door til we found ours. The only problem was our key opened every door!!! All things considered though the suite ( 2 double bedrooms and balcony with a brilliant view was fantastic. Worth the extra 10 euros a night. I hope you go there.

The hotelier did not meet us at the pick up point or at the b and b as we corresponded, they did not answer the bell or the phone. After 30 minutes we walked around and found a hotel where the manager finally managed to get in contact. we were then picked up. A totally upsetting start to our holiday. The room was fine and in a great location. It was however poorly lit.

Perfect location and very very good price . I really want to thank the owner of this property. Well I was coming late at night and my flight was delayed ... he was so helpful with me waiting so long ... the room was clean and quite ... unfortunately I rest in Venice only for 1 night ..... short stay .... They told me that Locanda delle Acque will also be completely new at the end of this year ... I really want to recommend this b&b .....

First of all let me explain we made a reservation for della Acque but they booked us in the Lorendan. As we arrived we had the attick room it was a very nice room. But next morning we were interviewed by the police. It seems that this upper room wasn't a legal room. So during the morning a received a tel call(0348899617) they wanted to remove us to an other location. An appartment close to San Marco. An old appart ready for renovation. without breakfast.

At the arrival, we waited two hours for someone to fetch us at the vaporetto (despite the fact that they had wanted to Know in advance our check-in time). There was no space in the room for breakfast, or anything else, apart for sleeping. On the other hand the location was good and the room was quiet.

Great location in the middle of Venice (San Marco). Easy to find with the names of the shops near by and very close to The Rialto Bridge. We were told to call the hotel once we got to the main port and he explained how to meet his porter at a location near the boat stop. This was our ONLY contact from here on for anything with the hotel, but the porter did not speak english. He did, however, put the manager on the phone whenever we had questions. We never met the manager even though he said he would buy us a drink because of a surprise inspection we had to leave our room for 3 hours because of inspectors going through the hotel, but we never did see him again and he did not try to contact us. It would have been nice for him to follow up on his words. We had to try to contact the hotel to question them about paying our bill, they did not try to contact us about how this should be handled. We told them that we were paying by credit card at the beginning of the stay but the morning we left they explained they were having issues with their credit card machine and asked me to walk with them to a different building 10 minutes away to try it there, but it still didn't work so I just left them the credit card number. I thought they should have had this more organized.

Very well located by the Rialto Bridge and in the very center of Venice. An employee met us at the boat to take us to the hotel, which was very helpful. There was a mix-up in our room; we reserved a suite, and were given a very small room with 3 beds for the same price. Once we told him this was incorrect, we were given the suite. He then tried to get another 10 euro out of us by saying were came after 6pm. We refused to pay, and he relented. We could pay by credit card, but had to go to another location for the transaction. Overall, this was a great place to stay, but beware of any potential scams

My WORST stay in Venice EVER. Beware! There's One Room you don't want at Ca' delle Acque! the one with dirty furniture (sofa stained in black!) holes in the doors, lights and heating malfunctionning, windows just above a crowded street. First, the adress is not the one on Venere, had to search by myself on internet to discover the right one and not wait on the street. Nobody permanently at the house. Guy in a hurry, operational but not ONE smile in 5 days ! No change of towels in 4 nights! from dec 29 to jan 2, heating on: only from 18 pm to 10 am !! for 145 Euro each night! +credit card rise the price! It was like a trap... it seems there's a lovely room but it wasn't ours, cold, dark & small. then, cheapest breakfast ever seen. The only good point : very central. We paid the location, not the service. I know venice and always try a new place. I would never recommend this one, especially in winter... Sorry

We stayed at "Ca' Loredan", another b&b owned by the same property, because heating was out of order at "Ca' delle Acque": we were asked by e-mail a couple of days before if the change was suitable for us and we agreed after having a look at Ca' Loredan on the web. Really a nice place to stay. Located between Rialto and San Marco, both at five minutes walk. Very quiet, everything was brand new and room and bathroom very clean. Breakfast is basic, but served in the room. On arrival at Rialto vaporetto stop we called and Bana came to take us to the place. The surroundings are really perfect Venice: calli, canali and gondole: so romantic! Price is good for both location and service. There are no public areas or other facilities, but we didn't need any: walking and sightseeing was enough leisure. We really enjoyed our stay and we wish we'll come back some day!

The best stay ever we spent in Italy. Considering that we were in Venice which is overcrowded, dirty and expensive in summer time, it was the best stay ever. The breakfast comes to your room which is really pampering. Instead of airconditioner there were two adjustable fans/ventilators which were ideal for the summer time. The location is in the hart of Venice. The room is full of wardrobes (cleverly suited), the bathroom is very clean and functional. We had an accident in Rome and lost our bankcard and ask Carlos (the host) whether it was possible to pay the hotel fee later. He was really understanding about the situtaion which we will not forget. I would definetely recommend this hotel.

We were actually put into an apartment (San Severo) as the Bed and Breakfast was full. The price remained the same, however, there was no breakfast included. The rooms were nice and the back garden was very beautiful. The only downfall to the apartment was that the bed was very uncomfortable. The photos of the bathroom which were provided also did not correspond to the actual apartment.

The property was centrally located. The property was right for us. The office was not on the premises which made it difficult to have access to the management. I would definitely recommend Ca'delle Acque as a B&B to stay in while visiting Venice. This is my second time to the city, and I loved this time far more because of staying in San Marco and feeling very welcome. The property was centrally located, and staff very pleasant and helpful. I appreciated their ability to speak English, and their directions when coming off the water-taxi at Rialto. Venice is not inexpensive, but for two nights, this was a very happy stop-over.

The map on Venere is not correct! The hotel is located on different street, but still in a convenient location (and the same Vapoletto stop). Because Venice's streets are so complicated, we recommend you calling this place instead of figuring it out your self. Other than that, the hotel was excellent. They also offer a free trip to Murano and a glass factory. But be extra careful not to spend too much money there... There are many glass stores all over the island (and in Venice).

We were so pleased with the Locanda delle Acque. We got a really good deal for a studio apartment that had a gas cooktop, new kitchen, and fridge, along with all the kitchen accessories such as saucepans, crockery, even a decent knife block. The bathroom was new, with heated towel rail, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. The bed was a sofa bed with a half decent mattress, it certainly wasn't the worst bed we have slept on whilst away, but not the best either. The stairs could be a problem with really heavy luggage, as there was no lift. The location was perfect, between the Rialto and San Marco, in a relatively quiet little street. Venice was actually one of the less expensive places we have stayed at, because we could self-cater, and because we paid 50 euro for the first 4 nights, and decided, just before xmas to stay another 2 nights, and payed 60 euro. A bargain! Also, the people who run the locanda are not there overnight, but are contactable in an emergency on the number, so we didn't feel like we were abandoned or anything, and I thought they were very welcoming. A lovely stay.

Fortunately we (family of four) got their "best room" which was on the top floor and included a second bedroom upstairs and a balcony off that with a view over the canal. It looks as though it may have been a private residence at one stage. Apart from the mozzies in Venice, which we weren't warned about and the foyer being the size of a broom cupboard, which caused a huge traffic jam in the morning when people were checking out at the same time as people arrived to check-in, we had a wonderful stay. Great position. Friendly staff. Would definitely return if we could get the same room, didn't see any others.

Location, location, location! This hotel is ideally located between the Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's Square. Upon arrival at the Rialto Bridge vaperetto stop (take vap #82 from Tronchetto) I called the hotel and we were met, 5 minutes later, and lead to the hotel, about a three block walk. The rooms are small (typically European), charming and clean. The location on the main walkway to St. Mark's is busy throughout the night and some noise is unavoidable. The location and its access to major attractions overrides the minor inconvenience of noise. The two drawbacks are that no one is on sight after 5 pm and there are no phones in the rooms. The breakfast was delivered to your romm (there is no common area) at a time of your chosing, between 8:30 and 10:00 am. I would stay there again because the location is outstanding, the price very reasonable and because we sure didn't spend much time in our room.

THE POSITION OF THE PROPERTY WAS VERY GOOD WITH EASY ACCESS TO TRANSPORT,RESTERAUNTS AND ALL THE MAIN SITES IN THE CENTRE OF VENICE. A BIT CRAMPPED BUT GOOD FOR THE PRICE. BEING CENTRAL WAS ITS MAIN BENEFIT. BEING MET AT THE RIALTO FROM THE TAXI AT NIGHT ON ARRIVAL WAS IMPORTANT AS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASY TO BECOME LOST.

We had an interesting stay at this hotel. When we booked the room, we received an email to call the hotel from the train station, and they would instruct us on how to get there. They told us to take a water bus and they would meet us at the stop to take us to the hotel, which I thought was very nice. When we called from the station, the reception told us to call again when we got to the hotel because he couldn't leave the desk unattended. Not a problem, but when we got to the stop, we couldn't reach the hotel (line was not connecting) and ended up having to find the place on our own. It was not too difficult to find, thanks to helpful residents, and the location was good. It was very central to lots of restaurants and shops, gondolas, and San Marco square. The room was nice and very clean, but very noisy. Our room faced the street, and we had a lot of noise from that. Also, within the hotel, we got a lot of noise from other guests. You will hear every door opening and closing. Overall, not a bad stay for one night, but I would have liked something a little more quiet, especially if I were staying longer.

Fabulous hotel. Fabulous location. I got lucky and booked the suite on the top floor which is a split level apartment with a roof terrace overlooking the canal. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting their own real space to sit out and enjoy the quiet over the city at dawn at breakfast or dusk with a bottle of champagne. I'm talking summer or autumn of course. My only word of note. As this is a B&B, if you plan to arrive late in the evening, please ring ahead to ensure somebody is there to meet you and let you in. Otherwise you'll have to wait 20 mins or so for somebody to call around.

Unfortunately our stay in Venice was not long enough. We were greated at the water taxi and shown to our B&B apartment. Although there was alot of very steep steps to the apartment we knew this already via the web and was prepared for it. The rooms were better than expected, very spacious and modern. The balcony was very special with views of Venice I cannot describe. Air conditioning and bathroom facilities were average but again after 6 weeks of travelling around Europe we did not expect anything more. It must be a European thing to have very small bathrooms with no pressure from the showers. WE could have done with better airconditioning but they did provide water conditioners that helped greatly.

The staff was welcoming and competent. The rooms were small, but clean. There was no air conditioner, which made sleeping a terrible ordeal. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. I would stay here again, if it was during a time where air conditioning was not necessary.

We had rather a surprise on our arrival... Firstly, we didn't realise that Venice suffered from 'high water' (ie. flooding) at high tide most days of the year. Secondly, we hadn't anticipated this meaning we'd have to wade through 3 inches deep of water to get to the entrance to the hotel. Aside from this, our stay at Locande Delle Acque was very good - it's a fantastic location, the rooms are nice, staff are friendly (although because it's a small hotel, they're not permanently on the premises), it's quiet... All in all, I would highly recommend it - just so long as you're not put off by the possibility of 'high water'.

The room was clean and "cute" but tight for the 4 of us (2 adults, two children 12 and 14) The staff was friendly and warm when they were around( we could not always find them). The location could not have been any better. Maybe 4 minutes to Rialto Bridge and 5 minutes the other direction to St.Mark's. A great cafe next to the hotel with cute and friendy staff. Venice was the city of romance, even with two teenage boys in a tiny room.

We have knocked one point off 'quality of service' because the morning breakfast coffee was always tepid, which may be a British thing!

I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. It was a wonderful place. Very clean, modern, spacious bathroom, comfortable beds with goose comforter. Definitely a hidden treasure with a friendly and helpful staff who speaks excellent Spanish and English. Centrally located between Rialto Bridge and San Marco Plaza.

This hotel was a hidden treasure! We arived at night (Venice is a great place to see first at night!) and were met at the Rialto Bridge stop of the water-bus and walked to our hotel a few short blocks away. The hotel has no public areas, just a desk and then rooms upstairs, but the room was clean and modern with a large nice bathroom for Italy! Breakfast was brought to our room when requested and we were able to leave our bags for the day after checking out while sightseeing. Great bargain, nice English-speaking hosts (they also have apartments available for rent!) and fantastic location a few blocks from St. Marks Square. Would stay again or recommend to anyone on a budget!

My family and I had a quad room that was very small (1 double bed and 2 bunked single beds). otherwise, the room was nice and clean and breakfast is delivered to your room at a time you specify. the staff was friendly (speaks English) and a person met us at the rialto bridge to take us to the hotel which was great (you are bound to get lost in venice). overall, it was a pleasant stay!

Our stay at this hotel was incredible. Since so many people were staying at the same time, we were upgraded to the top-level suite. We had a living room and dining area, and a loft bedroom with a balcony overlooking one of the canals. It was absolutely gorgeous and so, so relaxing. I can't believe this is designated as a two-star hotel---it was definitely more like a three-star. I would definitely stay here again, it was wonderful. The location was great and it was so QUIET and peaceful! Pay an extra 20 euros and stay in the top suite---you won't be sorry when you are enjoying red wine on your balcony!

This was superb value, and exceeded our expectations. The "suite" (two connecting rooms, one above the other) gave us privacy and space, and it had interesting views over the roofs of Venice. The situation (only a few minutes' walk from San Marco and Rialto) couldn't be better, and yet the accommodation was quiet (though we had some noise, from TV and talking, from an adjoining house; but that was a very minor problem, much outweighed by everything else). There being no public areas as such (breakfast was brought to us) was a bonus we hadn't expected. The people looking after us were friendly and helpful. We won't hesitate to go back.

Except the small space in their quadruple room, this hotel was excellent at almost all aspects. For example, the dilicious breakfast, the warm bed, and the welcoming host. Our days in Venezia were happy in part depending on this hotel.

Hotel is really well situated between die Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. Everything in walking distance, really a superb location. We booked a four bed room (quadruple) which consisted of a double bed for two, as well as a bunk bed for the other two. The bathroom was located within the room. It wasn't too spacious for 4 persons (there was, however, a big wardrobe) but OK for one night. When checking in, you are expected to name your choice of breakfast: You may choose between different kinds of coffee or tea and different kinds of juice. Croissants and toast (+ butter and jam) are provided as well. We enjoyed it pretty much. If you prefer your own food and drinks, there is a fridge in the room. By the way, the hotel employee checking us in was extremely friendly, he gave us a complimentary map and explained to us how to get to all sights. Summing up, the "Locanda delle Acque" is, more or less, the best value for money you can get in Venice when booking on venere.com (at least in this season it costed less than 20 Euros per person per night in a quadruple, including breakfast!). Without any doubt, I will stay there again should I return to Venice someday.

Being off season, we received excellent value for money. The appartment was handy, clean, and comfortable and the service welcoming and friendly. This came as a pleasant surprise, considering what one hears about the cost of staying in Venice. This appartment is to be highly recommended.

As the B&B was full we stayed in a private apartment. The location was excellent; a stone's throw from the Grand canal and Rialto Bridge and short walk to St Mark's Square. The staff were very welcoming and firndle; they even escort you for the water bus to you lodgings. The rooms were very spacious but there was no tv in the apartment. It was great value for money and good to have your own privacy away from the B&B.

We were given a 2 bedroom apt. with kitchen and bath near Campo San Stefano. The furnishings were adequate if sparse, but the location central, the price great, plenty of romm to relax in privacy and we often cooked in, saving both money and weariness.

The location of the room could not have been better. Loads of water taxi's nearby, the main one's are 1 and 82 that run nearly everywhere. We were a short walk in any direction to major locations ie: the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Square, San Lio (there's a small grocery store there where we could get munchies for the room because it has a fridge). If you find the grocery store in San Lio, go around the corner to the right, then around the corner to the left and you will see a guinness sign. Great food, stiff drinks (yum!) good atmosphere, friendly staff and there is a disco that starts at midnight. It was one of the only late night places we thoroughly enjoyed (and found if truth be told!). Ask for Oscar...he's a riot! Cristina was extremely nice, we kept in contact through e-mail until I arrived. She is very good at keeping in constant communication! She picked us up at the water taxi station within moments of us arriving. She was very helpful when we needed information regarding buses and schedules for our departure, she'll call for you to get the information you need. The room was very large (we had the suite). The only thing I would say is...make sure you're in decent shape! 60 stairs to the room! Add hauling a suitcase up or down and it is very difficult. But, it was worth it when we stepped out onto our private terrace! You get a view of a canal and can catch glimpses of gondola's lazily pattering by. And the room was quiet. After the bells finished ringing at 7pm (yes they do stop until morning) the whole place was quiet and peaceful - great for a good nights rest. Breakfast comes to the room every morning and is a great start to the day. I was very happy with our accommodation and with the staff. One more thing! If you are flying in by Ryan Air, there are ATVO buses that run in accordance with the flights. When you arrive at the Piazzale Roma, don't follow the guy leading you to the taxi. He's leading you to private hire taxi'

The location of the hotel is excellent, situated between Rialto and San Marco. The rooms are clean and very quiet, but look out on a narrow pathway and are therefore rather dark.Breakfast is served in the rooms, because there is no breakfast room. The employees are there only in the morning and after appointment, which makes early or late arrivals rather inconvenient. The hotel can be recommented for travelers who will spend most of their time sightseeing and are looking for quiet and clean rooms in a very central location.

Our visit to Venice was fantastic and this hotel couldn't be bettered for position and value for money. We were welcomed by a very friendly English speaking chap who gave us his telephone number and said that we could call him with ANY queries we might have [even if we were lost] I have already recommended this hotel to my friends. The apartment location was superb being just a stone throw from Piazza San Marco. Not only that, a Hotel representative, Mr Carlos, actually accompanied us from the water stop to the apartment. Miss Cristina was also kind enough to assist us to book our hotel in Florence. Highly recommended & will definitely stay with them again on our future visit

We staid with Locanda delle Aque for 2 nights and couldn't have wished for a better accomodation at this price! The people running it are very friendly and helpful. We were picked up at the Rialto Stop and accompanied to the place. It is very central (right between Rialto and San Marco) and the room we had was lovely and very cosy. The only thing missing was a reading lamp by the bed. Apart from that everything was perfect: large, comfortable bed, nice bathroom etc. They bring the breakfast to your room which is very nice and has to do with the fact that there aren't any common areas. Just rooms. We were really very happy with the place we chose.

This bed and breakfast is centrally located between Rialto Bridge and St. Marks Square. It was easy to get whereever we wanted to go in Venice. There were some problems. Our room was on the second floor and to get there we had to drag our luggage up two very narrow flights of stairs. The room was fine. What was not fine was that the temperature was quite cold and our room had no heat both nights we stayed there. Evidently the furnace had gone out. The response of the manager to the lack of heat was basically tough, you have a warm comforter. Prices relative to quality were higher in Venice than anywhere else we stayed in Italy.

I and my teenage children thought Locanda delle Acque an excellent deal. We were looking for somewhere central and affordable and not necessarily luxurious. Our room was fine - a bit of a climb but the net info indicated that was likely. Beds were excellent. The room was well heated, had a fridge and TV and the en suite facilities were top class. Not a lot of free space but that didn't concern us. The response from Christina, our e-mail contact, was excellent from the word go and she collected us from the Rialto vaporetto stop which was great. Breakfast was brought to us in our room which we really appreciated. The location is terrific-only minutes from both the Rialto and St Mark's. Next door is a wonderful restaurant and we also went to a concert nearby. All-in-all, ideal if you're on a budget.

The room is indicated as "Private". The wardrobe is located above the bed and only to reach by climbing (small or elderly persons cannot use the facility). The first night we missed a lamp on the bedside table. The shower is extremely poor (it takes a long time to get wet). From the beginning we asked for tooth-cups; but we couldn't get them till the end. Breakfast is served in an accommodation in the neighbourhood. The price is much to high compared with prices offered in the neighbourhood. We believe that the owner count on the fact that no tourist will spend a lot time to find a new accomodation. Summarizing: very disappointing.

It was a very nice place with three spacious rooms with an elegant and old touch. Its tall windows permits the sunlight enter freely and at night you not only close the windows but can also shut them with the wooden doors outside giving you a very dark and quiet resting night. Its closets are spacious. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a wonderful dinner. The place is located within a few turns from the piazza San Marco. The price is very reasonable considering you can sleep at least 6 people. If it had more than one bathroom the place would be perfect, especially if most of the group is women. You don't have to worry about taking laundry anywhere, the washing machine(no dryer) saves you time and effort. Hopefully they have fix it, the spinning cycle was too slow to get most water out of your clothes. That was no problem since you have the lines outside the windows to hang them dry. The place has no elevator and is in what it seems a third floor. The place is fairly clean but a bit dusty when you get there. It has a tv but who wants to watch tv when you're in Venice. The manager is very accomodating and helpful. My family and I would stay there again.
