This is a good little b and b! Great location once you get there but is a bit of a hike with suitcases getting to and from water bus stop - over a big bridge with loads of steps. It is quite noisy at nights - but it's nice and very italian noises. There is an opera right near by - so if you don't mind that it's great. We never met the hotel owner/manager or anyone (except the cleaner!) We actually paid the cleaner for our room and he couldn't actually speak english so we were talking on the phone to the manager and it was all a bit confusing. We were let into our room by some other guests who had experienced the same problem the day before - if you don't have a mobile you will have trouble ever meeting the manager!! Also, breakfast is NOT included! it is a basket of packeted things and uht milk - we didn't eat it at all. Room is newly and nicely decorated and a fair size. Nice bathroom. Good cafe's all around and nice and close to the heart of Venice. We did like staying here but found those little things to be the only faults.

Nice room, in the middle of the historical center, standing in a nice square. Perhaps a little bit difficult to find it.... We recommand it.

My wife and I stayed here on first week of October 2008. The photos of the rooms on the web are consistent. We stayed in room no. 2. The room was recently renovated; it boasts of modern furnishings and bathroom fixtures. Very clean room. The staff, Kumar, spoke very good English and assisted us to the vaporetto upon our departure. Art Blue is well-located,where there is a good number of cafes (including the Art Blue Café on the ground floor) and also accessible to Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. The location is bustling with activities but not disturbing. However, our concerns are the following: (1)the directions to the B&B as stated on the web indicated that we get off at "Accademia", which we did. However, while this was indeed the quickest way to the B&B, we would say it was the most difficult as well. We were not informed beforehand that the Accademia bridge is a wooden bridge made up of 1000 steps; at least, that's how we felt with our heavy pieces of luggage in tow! It would be good if the B&B could provide an alternative route for guests who are unprepared to climb those steps. (2)There was no reception to welcome us or give preliminaries upon our arrival at Art Blue. We arrived at 3:30pm, in broad daylight, and only a waiter from the Art Blue Cafe (which was owned by another person) had given us keys to access our room. He didn't speak much English and all he could tell us was what the keys were for and that the owner of the B&B was only in the premises in the mornings. (We only met him briefly on the day of our departure.) (3)The ground floor of the hotel premises struck us as being "spooky". Without anyone to explain to us our surroundings and accompany us to our room, we couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. It was very dark and the room appeared to us more like an unkempt storage room. (4)It was also quite a climb up the stairs from the ground floor to the rooms. (5)Breakfast was one small croissant and a cup of capuccino

The room was very different from the pictures on internet. Bed with a bed quality. The bathroom was really small and the shower not clean. Woken up for cleaning the room at 10... We asked them to make a reservation for us in a restaurant which has not been done!!

we very much enjoyed our breakfast in front of the art blue in the place. It is a good place to be in midst of the town and walk through the old places even at nighttime.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Art Blue - the restaurant employees were also very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal and in a perfect spot - everything in walking distance and the vaporetto close by. Very easy to get around Venice from this area.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, environ 10 minutes à pied de la place san marco. Les chambres sont propres et spacieues. Le patron est très bien, il parle un peu le français. Le petit déj inclus (au resto en dessous) est léger. Le resto est bon mais cher (mais c'est comme cela presque partout). Pour résumé c'est vraiment un excellent hôtel.

no credit card accepted. the owner of the b&b told us a day before, we should pay cash with the pb of having enough cash with the credit card. Before we leave there was nobody to take the money and give us the bill. We had to give the money to the restaurant which has nothing to do with the b&b. The owner told us he will send us the bill later and until then ... nothing.

Very good quality, quiet new, very confortable room. Indication on maps is totally wrong, at the other corner of San Marco zone. It says near Rialto but the hotel is near Academia (very important for the busboat). With only the number in the direction - San Marco 2808 - nobody can help you to find it. It would help if you say Campo S. Stefano too. Breakfast is only available quite late, by 8:45. Stairs

Our experience at the hotel was excellent. We got a very friendly reception. Ermano came to pick up us at the Vaporetto station, and helped to carry our luggage, once we have called him, since the map provided by Venere didn't have the right location of the hotel. We kindly recommend Venere to make the change, since it created us a great inconvenience, since we were traveling with two elderly, that have some difficulties to walk. The correct reference is close to Ponte della Accademia and not Ponte di Rialto. The hotel is very well located, in a very nice neighborhood, plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. We highly recommend the hotel!

Only a staff of the cafe (the downstair of the B&B) gave us a key and told us the number of our room and no one told us which floor and how to find our room! The man also not told us how to use one of the small key to turn on all the electricity in our room, I need to picked up all my very heavy luggage to go up and went down again and asked them. No more conversation anymore! So bad! We never eat any breakfast on the downstair cafe because the cafe was not open yet on 8a.m. in the morning. Actually, the room is very clean and the location is also very convinent, but the service is the poorest in Venice!!!!
