Bed and Breakfast Almorò - Venice
Cannaregio 6350 - Venice
877-662-6988Once arrived by boat at the stop of Fondamenta Nove, our guests will immediately be plunged into a Venetian atmosphere, as our home is in the heart of a popular district with bakery (which actually sells of everything), news vendor (including international newspapers), tobacconist store, bar and of course the typical Venetian taverns. Once crossed the bridge that you can see on the picture, you will discover the square of San Giovanni e Paolo, with its magnificent surroundings and buildings, not to mention the equestrian monument of Bartolomeo Colleoni, considered as one of the nicest in the world.

It was an nice B&B, on a nice location. Since there are only 3 rooms, it was not a problem to share the bathroom. I was travelling with my two kids (8 and 11 years old) and we felt quite comfortable. People were friendly and willing to help. We would return.

We were very happy with Almoro. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. We felt very welcomed. Our hostess was very responsible and helped us with directions to a bank and supermarket. (Although her English is not that good.) The location is good - it is easily accessible by the water bus and it is easy to walk to major Venetian landmarks.

We stayed in Venice for 2 nights at this B&B. Overall it was what we expected. Most comments were accurate. The location is great. Breakfast was the same each day and was just ok - bread/danish/juice/coffee. I would recommend skipping breakfast and go out to eat. Finding a room in Venice and costly, but for the money this place fit the bill. Enjoy this great city and sleep here.

Room and bathroom are very, very clean. Without any doubt it is the cleanest hotel I've ever been at. It's on the top floor and the view during the breakfast is fabulous. Also very close to all main attractions San Marco and Rialto are just few minutes away.

The ferry that takes you to Murano (island that specializes in glass-blowing) is a short walking distance away from Almorò.

WOW! it was our first time in Venice and this B&B was nothing like we expected it! We found an amazing price with breakfast included. Since it was very cheap and a B&B we were expecting the worst! Almoro is AMAZING! the breakfast was EXTREMELY DELICIOUS! As soon as we arrived, we tried to walk to Almoro, but we got lost. We manage to contact the B&B and they sent someone to meet us and take us there! The best way to get to Almoro is by Water Taxi, there is a station just two blocks away from the hotel. If you do not know the area, don't even try to walk and get there on your own! If you do, just ask where the Hospital is, and Almoro is one block away. The location is fantastic, and the view is simply amazing! We had a quadruple room and a double room in the same floor! Both rooms were super big, clean and very organized! The bathroom was big and was very well equipped. The lady that was our host, was extremelyyy helpful! She called a taxi for us, she gave us a map and directions, recommendations on where to eat! We will def come back to Almoro! Excellent value for your money!!!

The owner sent us emails saying they would meet us at the water-ferry dock. We said, don't bother, we have a map, we'll arrive about such and such a time. When we did arrive nobody was there. So we phoned the mobile number the owner gave us. He said "I'll be there immediately." Half an hour later a woman came to let us in. She told us the owner was "on vacation". Are you kidding, he's running a B&B in Venice in late July and he's ON VACATION?? Anyway, after sitting on the curb for half an hour, the place turned out to be OK, even nice. It's on the other side of the island from San Marcos Square so you REALLY need a good map, but it was kind of fun walking to and from it, and you can also take the water ferry around to the other side; and this side is close to the glass-blowing island. So the location is actually OK.

It was really good experience stay in this property, staff was friendly and nice. Surroundings are nice, breakfast was ok, not many choices but good for being an italian one. Unfortunately no internet or wireless, but if we are with someone we love maybe we do not really need them.. and then we used the fridge to store food asking the staff, there is a small private kitchen which guests "cannot" use. I suggest this place.value for money, it is possible to find better, i was in rush when i booked.Venice, city of Love

We loved it! We had a view of the canal, amazing!! The breakfast was good as well. The only thing that could have been better was the bed...it was rather hard and it was two twins put together (which is common in europe.)

We spent a very nice time at Almoro. The room was clean, the area well situated and quite. The breakfast was good. It would be a little better if the staff could speak a little english

We love the room very much and the living room as well, it was such a surprise when we arrived, so warm and feel like a home. although the bathroom was shared, it's clean and fresh. Breakfast is great, we would stay here again and recommend it to our friends who visit Venice.

Charming and in a good location, but 4 negatives. The cell phone number we were given to contact the owner before checking in did not work. The B and B was very difficult to find. We had to share a single bath/shower with 2 other rooms, one w/ 4 people and the other with 3. The breakfast was two kinds of bread and coffee.

It was a surprise for us when we entered the room. So nice and warmly room. They decorate the room with nice lamps and picture and even wine glasses. The room is spacious and clean. There are only 3 rooms for guests but we do have shared living room which make you feel like home. Although the staff can not speak English clearly but she is so friendly. Staying here is a leisure for us. If I come back, I do want to stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be out of the tourist masses. The bedroom was quiet and spacious with a lovely view of St. Mark's tower. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The bath was very clean but was shared. There is a large library of travel books. Most are in Italian though. The woman who met us was very nice but spoke minimal english. I spoke some Italian so we were able to transact business. Always felt safe in the area. When we arrived we walked from the bus station to the B and B. A great way to see the city and get a taste of the many bridges in Venice. Fondamente Nove vaparetto stop is close by.

It was a great B&B in Venice, especially considering I went in high season and it was only 80 Euros in price for a huge double. The location was also great; I couldn't find anything this cheap even in the Mestre area, let alone right in the thick of Venice. We had a lot of fun, and I wish we could've stayed longer. The only thing that I thought was a bit odd is I never got to meet the actual owner, or even talk to him/her. A little different than any other Bed and Breakfast I stayed in.

Almoro is in a great spot, easy to get to on the vaporetto where a member of staff met us as promised and led us to the B&B. (It may have been hard to find otherwise). We enjoyed wandering around the myriad small streets in the area - at each turn there was something special to see.

This hotel has no elevators and is located on the 3rd floor. If you are with a lot of luggage, you need to skip this one. It is not centrally located so you need to know your way to this hotel or ask for the hotel staff help when you arrive first in the city. Also, no internet. The rooms are nice and clean. Bathroom is good too.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Almoro and highly recommend the B&B to all. It is easily accessible from the Fondamente Nuove vaporetto and an excellent pizza at the Algiubagio that was affordable. There is also a restaurant further down that seemed amazing. Back to Almoro, we really enjoyed Ildka, our hostess and the clean, beautiful room with adjoining, shared living room. We will return if ever in Venice again.

Nice quiet place in a residential part of Venice on a canal opposite the hospital. We walked everywhere, which was fairly easy. Only 10 min walk to Piazza San Marco. Make sure you make solid arrangements for someone to meet you, otherwise you can go straight there and try the 2 phone numbers at the door bell. (My train was a bit late and I had to find the place myself.) The Venere map gets you there. Also, water pressure is VERY low, so to avoid a cold shower turn on the sink hot water while showering so there's enough water flow thru the tankless hot water heater to keep it on. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.

Everything was great! the room was excellent, the breakfast was quite good. The owner is a great guy. I forgot my camera and realised after reaching the venice station. He was very helpful and sent someone over to the house to meet me and ensure i collected it in time for my train. He had someone receive us at the nearest stop when we first arrived, so that we did not get lost. only issue we had was the hot water in the shower takes time, and one time it did not come.

This is a nice place to stay and the staff were very polite and helpful. The only negative was the 3 or 4 flights of steep stairs that must be climbed to reach the property. The area in which it is located is central yet quiet. Breakfast was lovely and my room was basic (no tv) but clean.

This is just a Bed & Breakfast accomodation! Its just has three rooms, but they are very nice, clean and quiet. Dont forget to call them in advance and make an appointment to meet, because there is no reception or anything like this. This is why we had to stand in front of locked doors one afternoon, because nobody is there but guests and somebody preparing the breaky in the morning! But all together is was very nice, i dont think you will find something this cheap!
