Great place to stay in Venice! We had two little ones with us and the location was great! Very family friendly with toys the kids could play with and a high chair. Beautiful B&B that we will recommend to all our friends. The B&B is a couple minutes away from the Ca D'Oro vaporetto station and a short walk from the Rialto Bridge. We are already planning on coming back to the Al Palazzetto for another Venice vacation!

This B&B is housed in a very old building. This has led to some of the floors sagging. However, we enjoyed this and found it quite romantic and exciting. The owner and host Davide is an absolute gentleman and made us feel very much at home from the moment we arrived. We found our room very comfortable and quiet. We were very impressed with the bathroom which is actually very beautiful. The shower was great and had ample hot water, something which causes problems in most European hotels and B&B's. We enjoyed the typical European Continental breakfast and especially Davide's coffee made according to Italian tradition! The location is absolutely great. The vaporetto stop (line 1) is about 300 meters away. The B&B is situated in a great shopping and dining area and on one of the smaller canals. It is also within close walking distance from the Rialto bridge and St. Mark's Square. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Venice. Thanks Davide for letting us feel at home in Venice!

I was very surprised positve, the arrival was well prepared, the host was already waiting for us. The guest house is very cozy and furnished. The room I had reserved was really nice and spacious more than I would waiting for. In general, I was on the service and Preis really happy. I'm from the hospitality industry but this service we held in B & B Al Palazzetto had had supper.

The hotel is well located and we had no problem finding it using the directions provided by David. Overall it was a very good stay. We had a spacious room and it was quiet. David was a wealth of information and always very helpful. The biggest disappointment was breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, which was not cheap. There could have been a greater variety of selections, including fruit, eggs, fresh rolls etc., instead of the limited choices which did not vary. We would not return to this hotel. We would also not return to Venice. Venice was wonderful, glad we saw it, but expensive.

Wonderful family room with a balcony overlooking the Venetian rooftops and canal below. It was a great spot, hidden away from the tourist traffic, but easy to find from the directions given. Good breakfast and friendly owners.

This was a very well appointed and well run establishment which offerred high standards of cleanliness and room facilities. The host was welcoming and helpful and the property provided excellent value for the attaction it catered for in Venice at high season. Very traditional in outlook which was part of the character of the establishment

We were greeted by Davide the owner, who was friendly and helpful. He had provided a well presented nicely chilled bottle of Prosecco with some pastries as a welcoming package that I had requested as a treat for my wife's birthday. We had the attic room which was lovely, and which has a sun deck overlooking the canal. We enjoyed the Prosecco and pasties on the sun deck and relaxed after our journey. The location for Al Pallazetto was perfect, and we travelled all over Venice by foot and vaporetto. We have stayed on the Canal Grande before and found the location noisy, but this B&B was quiet, which meant we could sleep in. The breakfasts were fine, although some fruit in addition would be a welcome change to the usual cereal, ham, cheese and pasties. Nevertheless we always set out with a full stomach. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and the cost excellent value, which meant we could then eat out well at restaurants nearby like Vini da Gigio and Osteria da Rioba which were very close by on Fondamenta San Felice and Fonamente della Misericordia. Both serve the very best Venician food. Al Palazetto is ideal for mature couples who enjoy culture, architecture and fine dining!!

We had a triple room for three nights at the Al Palazzetto and were thrilled with the rooms, the neighborhood, and our host, Davide. Immediately upon confirming my reservation, Davide emailed requesting my arrival time so as to be available when we arrived -- he was there to greet us and introduce us to our rooms, explain details, give us a map, etc. Breakfast was delightful and leisurely and Davide was a superb host, as were his two young boys. The other guests were friendly and shared information about Venice and its environs. Our room was incredibly spacious with a newly renovated bathroom boasting a tub and shower. The rooms were clean and in order each day when we returned. The directions Davide provided us for locating the B&B were extremely helpful, as Venice is notoriously difficult to navigate. We had no trouble finding it after arriving via vaporetto. The area was a fine balance, with a busy street nearby but far enough away from major tourist sites to make for a peaceful sleep and times of rest. The one issue we did have was that we noticed a few ants in our room the first evening. Not swarms, just a few on the floor. We mentioned it to Davide and by the time we returned that evening, there were no signs of ants. He also thanked us for mentioning the issue, rather than being defensive. It is unrealistic to imagine absolutely no issues with a B&B, but Al P came very close to a perfect experience!

Al Palazzetto is an excellent base in Venice to explore the city - major sights are easily accessible by foot and by vaporetto, including going to the islands. Welcome was warmly polite. The family room for 4 was spacious, clean, and well kept; private bathroom was big and nice. Breakfast is better than most Italian morning fares, but we could have more coffee! Definitely a good deal and highly recommended, especially for families!

Our whole experience at Al Palazzetto was most enjoyable. Directions from the airport by bus and vaporetto were concise and easily followed. Our rooms were spacious and well serviced. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed for one week so possibly a bit more variety at breakfast would have been welcome but this did not detract from a very satisfying and enjoyable stay.

I stayed at Al Palazzetto with my 2 children, we had a fantastic time, the rooms were clean and very spacious, the location was brilliant, close to everything. The B and B was easy to find with the instructions given, however I would recommend calling to advise of arrival time, as when we arrived there was no one there, fortunately about 20 minutes later someone did arrive and was very friendly and helpful. We would happily recommend Al Palazzetto to anyone visiting Venice.

Spacious and stylishly renovated quad room with canal view (albeit from our bathroom) and a very gracious host - all a stone's throw from the grand canal... What more could you want? Breakfast was typical European fare, served in a lovely bright room. Although our room was just off this area it was very quiet, and air conditioned so our afternoon naps were very comfortable. Plenty of good non-touristy restaurants close by, a quick traghetto stop to the Rialto fish markets, and the no 1 vaporetto only 100m or so away, so perfectly positioned. Loved our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful place to stay in Venice us by a very quiet canal and only 2-3 streets away from the Ca' d'Oro vaporetto stop. It was wonderfully tranquil and restful away from the crowds around San Marco and the Rialto. We had a double and a triple both very nice.

Good location (close to center, to Grand Canal, to Fondamente Nuove), very beautiful house, big, nice decorated room and bathroom. There was a problem with door-lock in bathroom but it was not a big problem and we didn't ask to fix it. Very lovely place to stay in Venice. Don't know prices at high season but for winter it was veryy good price/quality.

The area around Al Palazzetto is as quiet as you could possibly wish for, yet it's within walking distance from Ponte Rialto, Piazza San Marco and other main sights. We had never been to Venice before and had some trouble finding the place, since we had forgotten to bring the "How to reach"-manual (which is very accurate) and no-one around knew about this B&B. Once there, we were provided with a real map. The room was real spacious, the bathroom was clean and we had a view over the canal. Breakfast included yoghurt, red orange juice, coffe/tea, breadrolls, cheese, mortadella and different kinds of spreads. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and their English is good. All in all we are extremely satisfied with our stay in Venice and at the Al Palazzetto B&B - stronlgy recommended!

Definitely a good place at a not excessive price (for Venice!). Specifically for the room we got, there could be a noise problem if you neighbours are somewhat noisy. But we were lucky! Breakfast buffet is "italian" level, but also was not a problem for us. All together , excellent stay.

Al Palazzetto was delightful. It’s location is easy to find from the Ca D’oro ferry station, if you have a map. It’s within a short walking distance. The property is a perfect example of Venetian history and excellently maintained. It’s in a perfect area, close to the main strada, but not too close or far, from St Mark’s. From what I can gather from Venetian properties, Al Palazzetto is also well sized! Not cramped at all. I will stay there again, any time I’m in Venice. And I plan to go to Venice many more times!

We easily found the B&B and the two rooms we had booked we both clean and spacious. They were both uniquely decorated, one being very spacious and the other with a canopy bed. Al Palazzetto was clean, quiet, & near a main street (Strada Nuova) for groceries, restaurants, shopping, walking to sights. Very good $$ for Venice. Breakfast now includes yogurt, deli meat & cheese. Our attic room was good for 4, nice big newer bath with tub & shower. Only complaint - the sofa bed creaked very loudly at the smallest movement.

Al Palazzetto met all of our expectations. Some aspects were superb. The size of the room, the condition of the bathroom, the breakfast and dining room, and the management would fall into that category. This may be the best B&B we have experienced anywhere. Thanks!

Very nice place to stay with a perfect price/quality rate in the middle of the historic town. We stayed a long weekend at the 'camera mansardata', wich was very clean en very spacious. The breakfast was simple but enough. We saw the owner only a few minutes a day. He is a men of only few words, but friendly. We recommend Al Palazetto to everyone who like to stay some lovely days in this marvelous town.

Our room was in the attic with sloping ceilings and was quite large and very clean. The bedroom had only 2 skylights, no windows, but was bright enough in the daylight. It was poorly lit and very dark at night. The bathroom was large and nicely equiped with a shower and separate tub and it did have a window. The bedroom can only be described as stark with bare wood floors, bare windows, and nothing on the walls. At the time of our visit, there was dredging being done on the canal next to the B&B and the sewage smell was strong; presumably this was unusual but the manager, David, made no comment about it. In fact, David was rather dour and minimally communicative at all times except when we asked to pay the bill. Other travellers we met at breakfast indicted their rooms (on the lower floors) were nicely decorated and comfortable so ours was perhaps newly renovated and not yet finished. We could also clearly hear the baby next door crying during the night. Despite these comments, the value definitely made this a good choice.

Al Palazzetto was a wonderful B & B.The building's original venetian architecture was a joy to stay in .The room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean, as was the spacious bathroom. Staff were very friendly, and despite being in a quiet street off of the main drag, the valparetto was just minutes from the door. I would definately return.

Good 5 nights spent in the heart of Venice about 400 meters from the Grand Canal in a very quiet part.Nice and easy to find near to Ca D'Oro vaparetto stop.Excellent location for all parts of the city. Davide's breakfasts, though all the same, were OK and got us to midday with no extra food needed, as meals costs in Venice are high. We had a Venice Blue Card that gave us unlimited use of public transport and we made full use by visiting a few of the islands.

It is important to note that cash is the only form of payment here, despite the web page saying that credit cards are accepted. We didn't know this until our final day, because an email explaining it had not reached us, and neither had we been told on our arrival. Consequently we received a severe dressing down from our host, which we felt was undeserved, and we were hustled down to Strada Nova, and monitored until we had the cash in hand. Unfortunately our debit cards didn't work at the first bank, and we were pressurised into using an Exchange Office, with exorbitant surcharges. Apart from this incident, which could have been so easily avoided, we were very satisfied with our stay, and enjoyed Venice enormously. A charming lady who brought our breakfast gave us some good advice about places for eating out. Rooms were very clean and spacious and the location was excellent, quiet but close to the Strada Nova shops.
