Great location close to San Marco, Rialto Bridge, markets and retail shops. Rooms are modern and comfortably appointed. We loved our stay here and unfortunately it was booked out this year otherwise we would have stayed here again.

The Diamante is very well located near the Rialto with St Marco, the Accademia and the train station within easy reach. It is one floor up, with no elevator. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably quiet. The value for money is reasonable. The breakfast, while adequate by Italian standards, is store-bought.But, this is not a B&B - it is an annexe to a hotel meaning that you are not dealing with the owners, but with young staff who have little flexibility in responding to requests.

I really enjoyed this hotel. I had looked for a hotel that we could access without crossing a bridge over a canal. I had read that it was hard to find, and it was. However, it really is very easy to find: Take vaporetto #1 and get off at the vaporetto #1 Rialto stop. Go right along Riva del Carbon to Calle del Carbon. Turn left here, go up one block and walk straight across that end of Campo San Luca into Saliza San Paternian. At the end of this block, right where the street turns to the right, is the B and B on your left. So, you go in a straight line from Riva del Carbon to the B and B. The reception lady spoke a lot of languages, but not English. She worked really hard to answer our questions in English and had a wonderful sense of humor. Our room had a jacuzzi, but was the only room with this. The B and B is on the route from Rialto to Campo San Stefano and Accademia. Also very close to San Marco.

My first time in Venice, overall had a great time. Hotel wasn't as difficult to find as expected, although I asked 2 different people on the way. The staff at welcome was not too friendly, but overall was ok. The rooms were clean but the towels weren't, maybe it was just my luck. Overall its worth its value and better than expected given its price, location, and room quality. Not a ad choice, and I would recommend this hotel.

B&B Diamante is a great location, lovely hotel and staff. Nice breakfast included. Short walk to St Marks etc from here. Great little places to eat everywhere, then BurgerKing for the cheapest coffee in town. Get there on waterbus to Rialto (not Rialto Mercure) then a few metres to Calle del Carbon. Walk down there to a small square then exit opposite corner (by the cash machine) and the hotel is right there. 3 mins from Rialto. We stayed 3 nights and wished it was more. Very hot in July but we could go and get a shower and siesta in the day. Room has safe but no fridge. You have to go up a flight of stairs from the front door.

The B&B is new and very nice. The staff is nice and helpful. The location is very central, about 150 m from Rialto and 250 m from San Marco! Two ferry stops are very close, which makes the B&B only 10 min away from the train station. We just had a great weekend.

What a hell hole! Don't stay here! There is no service in this hotel whatsoever! NONE! ZIP! It was the most frustrating experience of all of our hotels. The place is also very hard to find! Air conditioning? NO, it's more like a fan. We don't know how they dare advertise air conditioning. Our room got very hot. Again, no assistance. There is ONE woman who runs the place and she does not speak ANY English, Zero. She does it all, she's the receptionist, the cashier, the maid, the guard, the book-keeper, the handy-person, cooks & serves breakfast each morning. She protects the absent owners from unsatisfied guests, so you have little recourse. Need a phone? or fax? she'll tell you that they are out of order in Italian..hands waving and all! (but later we saw her use them!). Need directions? a map? a place to have a meal that won't break the bank? reservations? Forget it. You are completely on your own if you don't speak Italian. The godsend was an internet cafe close to the Disney store by the Rialto Bridge who had telephones. They were helpful in everything. Oh --- but there's more on our experience at B&B Diamante! Did we mention no hot water? or absolute must-have's that don't work in your room...? The bathroom & shower are tiny (about 16" glass shower door opening to get into the shower, before the cold water hits you. The curtains were coming off the rods. There is a small closet with 2 hangers. The rooms are very small & if the windows are open you have to dodge them or they'll hit you walking around the bed. The breakfast: basic skimpy continental breakfast with two glasses of orange water, but served with a smile. The only thing this b&b has going for it is the location. We felt sorry for the woman who runs it, she works long hours & is all over the place. Even still, this was our trip to Venice and it was not memorable.

Nice B&B. Good location, between Ponte Rialto and Piazza San Marco. Difficult to find given Venice's crazy layout and it's corner location. Friendly staff. Room is small but enough. AC barely worked. Great breakfast, not too American and not too European.

I paid $248euro for 2 nights and feel I got a fantastic deal for a hotel in Venice. The owner is precious and the room was perfect. I felt I had true 4 star accomodations, good breakfast included, & excellent location for a very fair price in Vinice. Honestly, I couldn't find anything comparable to a 4 star for under $300 euro a night so this B&B was a steal. I would HIGHLY recommend B&B Diamante

Really spacious rooms, almost hotel like infrastructure and facilities, made for really excellent stay. The facilities were very very good and all that you could possibly ask out of a B&B. Breakfast was served in the room at a time you choose when you get there. Really sumptious and delicious breakfast! You do have to choose a time when you would like to have breakfast and then stick to that time. Though they are flexible about breakfast timing, changes seem to be frowned upon. The bathroom was really spacious and luxurious. The only aspect of this B&B that I did not quite like was the fact that the hostess really could not speak any English! She did make an effort with an English dictionary to help. But most of the time, it was me speaking English and she ranting off in Italian. Hence, communication was reduced to sign language and we guessing what the other was trying to say. Well we stayed there for only one day so it wasn't such a big deal. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We stayed over New Year in the Sunshine Room at the Diamante. The room was lovely and bright, very modern, very clean, with a well-appointed en-suite shower room. Breakfast was hot roll, croissant, juice and coffee, nothing exceptional but perfectly adequate. The position of the Diamante makes it excellent value for money, being only 5 mins stroll to Rialto Bridge and 10/12 mins stroll to St Mark's Square. If you wish to stay at the very centre of Venice's most popular tourist spots on a budget the Diamante is a great base. We came across only one real drawback which was that we were unable to leave our luggage at the accommodation for later collection on the last day. This can be a problem if, like ourselves, you have a late flight home as check-out time is 10am. A good tip is that St Mark's Basilica offers a free 1 hour secure luggage drop just off the square.

Ok, so we found this B&B to be expensive, but thats Venice. Next to other hotels we looked at it was certainly good value. Lets face it, when in Venice you are going to be outdoors more often than not, so what you really need is a comfortable room in a great location. The Diamante provides both. It is clean and the rooms are a comfortable size with modern decor and modern en-suite bathrooms too. The Rialto bridge is 2 minutes walk away, San Marco 5 mins max. What more do you want ? Breakfast (served in your room) is simple, but sufficient - juice, coissants, bread, cappucino, etc. Who wants an English breakfast in Italy anyway ?!! I have read some reviews about the difficulty in finding the place. We found it immediately because we went to Google Maps and entered San Marco Venezia 4262. We then simply highlighted a route from San Marco and found it in no time. It is important that you look for no. 4262 above the door, because there is no signage apart from a small bell on the side. Also, we had taken the boat from the airport to San Marco which took 1 hr 20 mins. There is actually a boat which goes to Rialto from the airport and this takes about 1 hour. Its probably even easier to find the hotel from here (when you disembark) turn right along the canal and then the first left and you are off in the right direction). I would never consider staying anywhere else.

Me and my partner have travled through out 5 different city's all over Italy, and saveing the best for last. Venice. Well let me tell you that the B&B Diamante completley ruined our vacation. From the very rude welcoming from the discusting young lady at the front desk who intentionaly forgot to tell us on our last day that the Grand Canale was shut down due to the Regotta. We then had to walk our way through the streets of venice for 2hrs with 3 lugages to the train station to try and catch our train back to Rome which we ended up missing, thanks to the Diamante lovely staff. This was the wrost place that we have ever stayed. Our room was never cleaned and our bed sheets never changed even though the chubby young lady said that she did. We strongly suggest to stay away from the B&B Diamante. Trust me.

My friend and I stayed at B&B Diamante for 2 nights in July 2008. The room and bathroom were clean and stylish, and the location was perfect - a five minute walk from either San Marco or Rialto. I'm glad we had read the previous post about the glass door being behind a wooden door, otherwise we would have had trouble finding the entrance. Breakfast was selected at check-in (we went with cappuccinos, OJ, croissants and rolls) and was delivered to our room in the mornings at the time we had requested. A couple small things: the safe in our room did not work (no batteries), and there was nobody at the front desk in the afternoons. Overall though, we were very happy with this hotel and would recommend it.

I took a chance booking this hotel online, just by reading traveller reviews, and I was glad I did! The interiors were done in a lovely modern design and cleanliness was impeccable. The B&B Diamante was an excellent place to stay in Venice. The roon was huge and clean, we were greeted by a very friendly lady who spoke English very well, it was easy to find (with a little internet research ahead of time) and the price was definitely a steal. It was a little loud at night, but I would imagine anywhere in Venice is going to be that way. Definitely do your homework on how to find it, but other than that it was a great place to stay for a very reasonable price. The size of the rooms varies. What you see in the photos may not be the one you will get. The hotel is newly renovated and well decorated. Hotel price in Venice is very expensive especailly in the area of San Macro. The hotel is in the heart of San Macro. Initially, it is hard to find the hotel because the information they provide is not quite correct. The water bus stop is Rialto. And it is about 2 mins walk from Ponte Rialto to the hotel and the streets are zig-zag. Basically, it is next to Campo San Luca. Google map is not detail enough. It's better to get a local map. Map is 2 Euro in vistor info. centre inside the train station. Other location may cost you 3 Euro.

A very nice accomodation located in the centre of Venice. Took some time to find, but contact person was helpful. Air condition was not activated at beginning of May, so we had to open the window at night and some noise came up from the alley. Overall, we highly recommend "B&B Diamante".

Expensive price (as any room in Venice...), but well located - next to Rialto and near San Marco (5 min walk) Accomodation has a 'brand new' aspect (excelent bathroom/shower) Standard but reasonable breakfast

This was a great choice for us. We were 1 couple with 2 young kids and 1 set of Grandparents. They gave us the "Summer" and "Winter" rooms which were right next to each other and had their own corner where they could be connected or seperate. So that we we could be together when we'd like or seperate when we needed. It was like a suite. It was a great location. B&B's are basic, but this was modern, clean and had a great shower. The beds were hard and a bit uncomfortable, but for the price you couldn't find better

This B&B is in a great location within 5 minutes walk of both St Mark's Square and the Rialto. The price was the best we could find in Venice for a modern, clean room including breakfast.

We LOVED it at the B&B Diamante and would absolutely return! It was difficult to find at first, but I believe that would be the case for anyone on their first trip to Venice, ESPECIALLY when you’re arriving in the midst of Carnivale! But once you know where it is (we learned to follow the “house” numbers and not street names, and the property only has a very little door bell/speaker box that identifies it as the B&B Diamante), it's really a very easy, short walk from the Rialto Bridge and vapporatto stop. And on arrival, we were enthusiastically greeted by a very sweet woman (I'm so sorry I do not have her name). She was so sweet and helpful. And she was so excited to show us our room! The room was amazing and had a Jacuzzi tub (which was sooo nice on the feet and legs after all of the walking!) and VERY spacious, VERY comfortable. Very modern decor, so don't go expecting anything less. Breakfast was served in our room which was so pleasant. The location was convenient - midway between the Rialto Bridge and St. Marks Square. Perfect! It could get loud at times, outside street & piazza noise, and the walls inside were super thin - we could hear conversations in the hall clearly. But we weren't bothered by it (I sleep hard and husband uses ear plugs). I would absolutely stay there again and would absolutely recommend it.

Well situated, quite and warm place to stay. The room was silent, modern and clean. The owner was gentle and she offered us a good breakfast directly into the room. Low price and high quality for venice: do you need more?:-)

The hotel was so hard to find! It is located on a small street in a small square off the San Marco square. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior design of the rooms make up for it. Awesome bathroom and especially the rainforest shower head. No elevator, though! To find the hotel, facing the San Marco square, proceed to the right corner of the square and turn into the last alley on the right. You'll pass the gondole pier, go over a bridge, pass a restaurant and into a small square with burger king. Turn left at the corner of Black Jack Bar. It will be a wooden door with a tiny name plate that says the B&B's name.

It was a great bed and breakfast hotel. I would definitely go there again. The minor glitch was when we arrived there was only one lady there to greet us who was very friendly but she couldn't speak English which was hard to fill in any forms or communicated who we were and what we needed. After that though we had another lady who served our breakfast and cleaned our room who spoke English well. Hotel was very clean and quite easy to find once you get used to the streets of Venice (just look out for the wooden door). They were fixing the electrics for a day during our stay but they weren't of any nuisance. Overall we loved our stay, it was comfortable and the service was wonderful and its of walking distance to all the major attractions.

We had three couples who stayed at B & B Diamante. We were all very satisfied with the accommodations. The location is ideal as we were in the middle of the tourist area (close to St. Marks square, and the Rialto bridge). The rooms were spacious and clean and considering the price of accommodations in Venice this was a bargin. The staff spoke adequate English, which was very helpful to us. The lady was helpful when we were asking for directions, etc. If you are looking for an alternative to hotels, this is the place.

Diamante is a great choice, especially for the price. Venice hotels are very expensive and after pricing them we chose this bed and breakfast because of the price, the pictures, and the location. Everything lived up to our expectations! The rooms have beautiful modern italian decor and are very clean. Ralucca was helpful and brings breakfast to your room daily. The building is nestled in the midst of great shopping, especially the store right downstairs directly next to the building, Godi Fiorenza, where the designers, Patrizia and Samantha, create one of a kind jewelry and fashion pieces. Exploring Venice is very easy when staying at Diamante because you are so close to the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's square that you can walk everywhere. We saved money because there was no need for a water taxi during our stay. My only negative comment is that once the staff is gone, you are pretty much on your own, as there are no telephones in the rooms, or at least in ours. However, we never really needed anything.

I can't help but believe the positive reviews of this b&b come from inexperienced travelers. Nothing about my stay at Diamante (except that I was in Venice) was positive. My wife and I always stay at bed & breakfasts for the personal service, the comfortable accommodations and, well, the food. I've never been this disappointed. The room was very overpriced and uncomfortable. The walls were paper thin - don't expect much privacy. The staff was rude and completely unhelpful, and the breakfast was almost inedible. The location was great, but there have got to be better places to stay nearby. Find one.

5 star quality. We had two rooms booked; the rooms were very modern, spacious and clean. Although it is always difficult to find an address in Venice we luckily found the hotel within 20 minutes. Breakfast was served in the rooms on time. Staff could not speak English but were more than helpful and very friendly. Best Hotel during our 2 week tour through France, Italy and Austria.

This was our first time in Venice. We liked the cleanliness, and location of the b&B diamante. We didn't like that the staff was not very helpful. She mixed up our juice order, she knew nothing about venice, such as dinner recommendations, information about murano glass factories. We requested an early breakfast time because we had to catch an early train, and the earliest we could get it was 8, so we didn't get a breakfast. I thought they could have left one the night before, or made an other arrangement. It was a good location however, so if you know alot about venice and don't need much assistance, this would be recommended. Otherwise, a more helpful place would be recommended.

Our stay in Venice was superb..we loved it :)My husband and I stayed at the B&B Diamante for 2 nights in October ( and the weather was glorious..:) )The B&B was on the doorstep of the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square ( 3 minute walk) but tucked away on a back street which was nice and quiet. The rooms were FAB, very contemporary and clean..we had a suite which was complete with a jacuzzi in the room..was super value for money. Breakfast was served in your room ( added bonus) altho a little basic it was enough to keep you going until you found a nice italan cafe ( which were plentiful in the area). I would highly reccommend this b&b and would deffinitely stay there again.

The B&B Diamante was very modern, and it was very nice after we have been in Italy for almost 6 days. The place is very clean, and the place reminds me of a nice hotel at home. Even though, it is B&B, the breakfast was basic, and it was served to us in our room. The area was great and closed to everything. The front reception had very limited English, so, it was hard to ask her things, since, and she really didn’t understand us. But she tried to be as helpful. Our overall stay was wonderful!

Trip to the roof garden restaurent of the Danieli a must even if you can only afford a coffee . Location is best feature of B&B Diamante and pricewise it has an edge over the hotels in this city. The service is minimal; breakfast (very basic and not as good as nearby bars) is served only in the room and some rooms did not have a table and chairs for comfortable eating, there were no phones in the rooms which was an inconvenience since reception-service staff (one person) was not always available to provide one. Not all rooms are as pictured on the website but overall would recommend as a good value.

Great location just a short walk from San Marcos Square. I would recommend printing a map from google before beginning your search for the wooden door (not the glass one pictured on the website). The staff's English is very limited, but they are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very spacious and clean as dipicted on the website. I would definitely stay here again!
