Room was nice, standard hotel room. We got lost trying to find it, we had a few different addresses. Realised we had to check in at reception at a different location first, once we found reception everything else was great.

The staff are competent but very impersonal, they just treat you like a number,is well located but its closer to Piazzale Roma then the train station as stated in their website. Rooms are clean, we paid for a triple and they gave us a double bed and a sofa, The breakfast is really poor, no more then a bread, coffee and juice. everybody gets the same thing in a pre-fixed plate and is served at a small coffee shop around the corner from hotel. I do not recommend this hotel. We will never stay in this hotel again.

Nice B&B in Venice. Its so near to Piazzale Roma, so u dont need to take any vaporeto to reach the hotel and if you are travelling with some baggage its perfect to avoid crossing Venice with them. Nice breakfast in a bar just in the corner of the B&B with tables outside, so you can take a wonderful capuchino enjoying the view of canals. Nice room, so big, with kitchenite and sofa, and just at 15 min walking from Piazza San Marco,it has been a wonderful stay.

B & B was well located for our stay in Venice. Good value for money. We were greeted by staff member & shown to our B & B and given basic information. After that we did not see any staff or offered any assistance. If you think you may require assistance or attention perhaps look elsewhere

Finding the hotel was a bit difficult while you need to look for Hotel Tolentini, not casanova. We had a room with the shower & toilet on the corridor which was not mentioned when I booked the room. It was not a problem because it was 3 steps away from the room and it could be locked. Other then that we had a fantastic stay, walked around Venice. We will definately come back to this property.

Our b&b room was changed for apartment, about what we were informed 2days before our arrival. We were asked to inform about the time of our arrival 2 times (we sent 2 mails), but when we arrived there was no one waiting for us and we had to phone and wait 5minutes that turned out to be 20. Apartment was very nice, spacious and with good location (near the bus station).

Excelent location, near the bus and the train station. The room is spacious, very clean and modern with all the equipment that you can need. Good relation price/quality. The neighborhood is very quiet and full of restaurants. Weak points: the breakfast is in a small restaurant close to the b&b and is very poor. When you arrive, you have to call to a phone number and wait the people of the b&b to open the room, if you cant communicate you have to wait in the street. In spite of this, i would return to this b&b

Isabella and Roberto are wonderful; the room is very spacious and has wonder character. Breakfast was the best--deluxe coffee maker (cappucino, expresso, American), fresh fruit and pastry, cheese & meat assortment, yogurt and juice. This was the best b&b we experienced in all of our travels through Europe! Street noise was to be expected, but could use some additional insulation between rooms.

We have an efficient, kind and fast reception and check-in from Alessio, who also helped us to arrive to him through informations by phone. He has been always availble whenever we called. Service was also efficient, and hotel and room installations were amazing for Venezia standards. Clean, large, excellent private bathroom and nice view (from our room). Would return without hesitation.

We had really a pleasant time at B&B Casanova ai Tolentini. The room was a bit dark but very clean. In the night it was calm, during the day a little bit noisy from the street. The location was near the railway station and the bus station at Pz. Roma. We were really satisfied with the accomodation.

Very nice and quiet room in the perfect area for being able to walk around Venice and avoid the crowds at night. Friendly and efficient staff. We only give a 9 to the surroundings and the public areas because they are like most of Venice; if you wanted something really different, you would have to pay much more. Recommend Cafe La Bauta for coffees and cakes, and Trattoria La Rosa dei Venti for dinner, on the opposite side of the canal just over the bridge.

Great location and value. We especially enjoyed the views from our room. Each window looked out upon the canal. We've got some great family memories of open windows and sounds of Venice. I can't say enough about our experience. Vouchers are left in room for breakfast at nearby restaurant. Great idea. I felt like I had my own apartment in Venice. Do your research before you arrive. With a good walking map the city is before you. A few local restaurants nearby, including an interesting corner wine bar that the locales enjoy. Easy walk to/from the train station. Owner sent someone to meet us at the new bridge for 5 minute walk to rooms. Ten minutes in total. Shop at market to to the right after you go over the bridge for less expensive wine, cheese, and groceries to bring back to you room. Mkt right opposite water ferry stop.

We initially booked this place because it is very close to Piazzale Roma ( bus station)-2 to 5 min walk. But it turned to be a wonderful experience! Alberto is very nice & helpful host. We contacted him once we got off the bus & he sent someone to greet & walk u home. The room was clean & spacious. It wasn't a long walk to places from our place. We were enjoying Venice by walking everyday after eating a yummy continental breakfast with the voucher from Alberto. Our room has a private bath due to my husband's request, but i checked out the shared bath which is very clean and close to the rooms. As for us-the firstimers in Venice, we completed our trip with satisfactions and unforgetable memories. Before the trip, we always emailed Alberto for any questions and he gave us answers rightaway. Its very easy to get the maps and follow signs to the famous landscapes such as San Marco Square or Rialto bridge...Of course, Alberto can give us some pointers as well. We will definitely come back to this B&B Casanova place next time.

It was not clear to us that we needed a phone to call Alberto to have him come to the Hotel, so after a long and frustrating search for the Hotel we pushed the button at the door and no-one answered. We did not have a phone so I finally had to call from a hotel nearby to have someone let us in the room. The first morning we did not have hot water. It took half the morning to get that resolved. Alberto was not available, as he had told us he would be, the following morning for us to pay our bill. All in all we wasted a lot of time waiting for Alberto, who did not seem to mind the inconvenience to us. I think we would find a different hotel when we visit Venice next time.

Beware of Alberto - the price he quotes is different from what he charges. He doesn't accept credit cards and when it was time to pay up he asked for more than what was quoted in the email. When we told him this, he checked then said he was right. We didn't have the email with us, but contacted him about it after retuning home. He said he would send the refund (only 20 euros) but never did, and made ridulous excuses. Also, we were told we would get an ensuite bathroom, but it was across the public hallway. It was extremely noisy.

The interior of the room was fairly new. Bathroom was new. Rooms were not as large as shown in photos. Location hard to find. Breakfast was standard continental - croissants and coffee, but coffee was bad. We were there during the flooding but the owner was not helpful. I think he should keep some spare boots or cheap plastic covers for guests. Heating was not effective - rooms were too cold at night.

I have been looking for comments in advance on venere.com indicating good quality of the breakfast. Thought I got it, but: Breakfast can be served much better, american coffee from a container instead of delecious italian coffee/cappuchino (freshly made from the machine) is a nightmare in the morning. Breakfast is served in a restaurant close to the B&B-location. No idea why they did not use the machine for coffee. I guess that we finally got a different room from that we booked. After arriving we had to change to a location near by (150 m). Best was that it was very clean and it is just 10 minutes walk from P.d.Roma and therefore has perfect bus-connection to the airport.

The Casanoava ai Tolentini is the perfect place to stay in in Venice. Our room was very charming and clean, and Alberto and his partners are the most gracious hosts. The bed and breakfast was a little hard to find (we brought the Venere picture with us which helped a lot), but place a quick call, tell them where you are, and Alberto is there to the rescue. They even arranged a place for us to store everything after we checked out so we could see even more of Venice without having to worry about our luggage. The bed and breakfast is wonderfully situated just minutes from the major parking structure and bus terminal of the Piazzale Roma. It's a little off the beaten bath and far enough away from the hustle and bustle that you can actually relax and unwind after a long day of exploring; however, it's close to the vaporetti station so the major tourist areas are accessible in a matter of minutes. We will definitely be staying there again.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to experience real Venice and not a tourist trap. It is in a neighborhood close to the train station on a quiet canal. Breakfast was great. Rooms were very clean. The outside of the B&B is not as welcoming as the inside. Once inside it is modern- all new, clean and safe. I think this place would be great for anyone, singles, couples , families.WE WILL BE BACK! It is not good for older people who have trouble with stairs as we were in a 3rd story walk up...though Georgio carried our luggage. Alberto was charming and speaks very good English. They have AC- which helps in summer months. Have fun.

I did not like this hotel. The photos were very misleading. The room was extremely small. Breakfast was included albeit ver basic. The host was cheerful and nice and picked us up at the station since we arrived very late in the night. The onl good thing, its close to the train station. I wanted to sta in a good qualit B&B and was ver disappointed. They change sheets once ever 2-3 days! I was onl staying for 2 nights but asked them to clean the room ever day. The hotel is quite a walk from St. Marks Cathedral and the Piazza square.

We booked our rooms after reading other reviews, and Alberto's honest replies to a couple complaints. I traveled with my wife and three teen-aged children, and we booked a double and a triple. The rooms are spotless, but strictly rooms. Each room had typical hotel-type furniture, with a wall-mounted TV (we received local Italian channels and English-language BBC) and a desk. Don't expect a "hotel" with a lobby, etc., as that's not what is advertised. Apparently there are three properties on the same block, and we stayed in the apartment with the green door (not the unit pictured). However, our rooms were nicer than the photos and everything was brand new and immaculate, including a marble bathroom and modern air conditioning. There was an internet signal but it was too weak to receive, so we were offered time in another unit for our access. Breakfast was an average European-style continental (meat, cheese, cereal, etc.) which was more than adequate. It was about 100 yards from our unit to the cafe, and we met Alberto or his partner George there every morning. The location near Pizzale Roma was more convenient than we could have imagined, as we got off the bus from the airport and only had a five minute walk to our unit. We called Alberto on landing, and George met us at the bus stop to show us to the unit. Everything was as expected, and we'd stay there again. We have stayed twice in Venice, and this is a very reasonably-priced option.

This was a great bed and breakfast, very close to the train station and parking. when you arrive they send someone to pick you up and escort you to the bed & breakfast. rooms were newly renovated, plastic coverings still in the bathroom. alberto was very helpful and was at breakfast every morning if you had any questions. it is located a min away from a small secluted canal. queit and tranquil part of venice, allows you to get the true feeling of the atmosphere. quiet a walk from the B&B to st. marks square, but i did enjoy the scenery and little shops. the murano in the little shops were the best. Definitly highly recommened!!!

Excellent in all respects. No public areas to rate but room had been recently redecorated to a very high standard. Good value for money. George and Alberto were friendly, helpful and efficient - they did not push to book things for us although they would obviously have made money if they did so. The slight reservation about noise was simply due to a loud voice amongst a group of youngsters and Alberto asked them to be a little more considerate (which they were). There was no general problem of noise. Breakfast in the owners' restaurant was fine and so close that it was not at all inconvenient. Altogether a positive experience and Venice was not bad either. We would highly recommend Casanova ai Tolentini to anyone,

We arrived late to Venice due to flight delays. We called Giorgio to let him know we were in Venice, and he immediately came and met us to personally take us to our room! The breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip- meat and cheese, not just pastry!!!! Both Alberto and Giorgio were super friendly and informative of the area. The room was great. We would highly recommend this place again.

It was difficult to actually find the place, considering we had never been to venice. An official recipt was not given after paying with credit card, and we were told that an extra charge would be added if payng with credit card when checking out. we felt that they should have specified the extra charge beforehand. the shower could be bigger. these types of things were more of a slight annoyance. overall the place was clean and we felt it was safe. The breakfast was plentifull. aThe staff was very polite and and curtious.

Excellent location. 5-minute walk from Piazzale Roma (Venice bus terminus) so no need to transfer onto vaporetto (water bus) with luggage. The Piazzale is also where the vaporetto station no.1 is located. Beautiful surroundings, and B&B is very clean and newly renovated. Alberto and Giorgio are both very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is great. Walking distance to Campo Santa Margherita - fun and lively square and Pizza al Volo (takeout) is superb and inexpensive. Look out for the funny and friendly black cat on the bridge just before the square.

The people running the hotel were amazing. When we arrived in Venice we dropped our bags at a friend's hotel and did some sight-seeing before checking in. The owners met us where we were and walked us to our hotel. They then took us to the nearest water bus stop (which also is the primary stop for the airport) made sure we bought our bus tickets and that we new how to get to the airport once the trip was over. The rooms are beautiful, the location is perfect (quiet but easily accessible to everything), and the breakfast was good if a little simple (bread, meat, cheese and cereal; though if you get there first thing the breads and croissants are hot and fresh from the oven). I will be staying here again.

Our room was very nice and we had the most gracious hosts possible! Here and in Florence we did not find the B&B to be what we expected by our definition of a B&B. It was a nice room but we received vouchers to eat breakfast at a nearby restaurant. It was very close and had good food. Our host was happy to bring breakfast to our door if we wanted to leave before the restaurant opened. Fabulous service!Good location. Would recommend it to anyone. Remember there will be mosquitoes.

The hotel is hard to find (we had to ask locals several times) but the arrival is worth it. Alberto is very welcoming and enthusiastic and knows everything about Venice. The rooms we had were like a small apartment and totally redone. All new furniture, fixtures, everything! 4 of our grown kids stayed in 2 rooms that shared 2 bathroom and there was MORE than enough space. The parents stayed in a separate, older room, that was still spacious. Expect chocolate and a bottle of wine when you arrive, along with a binder of activity suggestions. The small kitchen-ette did not have a fridge or any cooking equipment, though it was still nice to have drinking glasses and a sink. Washing machine in the unit as well. The location is good. There is a cafe directly outside that is open early & late. The train station is a 5 minute walk away, so is a major grocery store. The grand canal is a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast is served at the restaurant across the bridge and it is very good. Coffee, juice, cereal, meat, bread, cheese, pastries. We could not believe how low the prices were for this great stay. We were a family of 6 and found it perfect in terms of cleanliness, newness, location and cost. Would definitely stay again.

The room is huge and has a river view! I would consider it as an apartment, rather than room, as it has both a study room and bedroom! The place is very nicely decorated and the boss is friendly. Quiet and nice place. The small channel in front of the hotel is charming. The "pasticceria" next door but one is a perfect and rather cheap place to have meal. Very convenient for people travelling by car : the hotel is located at 5 minutes by feet from "Piazzale Romana" where travellers can find all the car parkings. When we'll return to Venice we probably choose this place again.

The owner of the B&B was out of town and had booked us into an apartment owned by a hotel. The hotel was near by but the apartment was down a dark alley and the "street" outside was under construction with work beginning at 6am. After the first night we changed to a room at the hotel and incurred the additional charged and will be contesting the second nights charge from Casanova ai Tolentini. I am not sure that this company actually owns a bed and breakfast. I think that it may only sublet apartments from other hotels. I would strongly recommend the hotel "Antique Figure" which was very helpful and accomodating throuought this problem.

The property is truely located in a very quiet part of Venice. The Owner (Alberto) was very friendly and helpful in explaining all the do's and dont's in Venice. Its about a 20 min walk from San Marco square, however you can use the indicated street signs (YES! Street signs) to get there. Definately recommended for the tourist who wishes to live in the quieter part of the City.

The only difficulties were in finding the location and the owner. The site should indicate that a water taxi is the best way to get there, and to call the local number upon arrival. The owner does not reside at the location, so we arrived to no answer at the door. Once checked in, everything was great!
