Bed and Breakfast Elkep Evi Cave House - Urgüp-Cappadocia

Great hotel outside the city center. Located on top of small hill, it has a great view. Definitely need a car to travel around Cappadoccia. Thanks to the staff, we had a great time!

Front desk is not friendly - more interested in selling local tours than in helping with information about attractions and local transportation. Hotel is 800 feet away on a cobblestone road from the nearest paved road - something to bear in mind when you have luggage. Hotel walkable from bus station - 20 minute stiff uphill walk with no luggage. When 2 people stay in a double room and the hotel leaves only one bar of soap in the bathroom (and sells the rest at the front desk for 2 euros each) - I classify it as not commensurate with the prices they charge for the rooms. Breakfast is fruits, bread and butter, tea and fruit juice - the most spartan breakfast of all the hotels in which we stayed. In summary, great ambience, lukewarm service, stingy rations, large rooms, not easily accessible - good for romantic travelers who are also young and energetic.

It was a great stay. We walked on the top of the hotel, enjoyed the amazing sunset. after balloon tour, we enjoyed the lovely beautiful breakfast. Couldn't say any "poor". I love it, wanna go again.

If you are looking for a romantic stay in a cave house hotel, on a hill top, then Elkep Evi is exactly what you need. Our room had a great view and a large terrace, where in the silence of the night you could listen to the muezzin calling for prayer. The people at the reception were very friendly and helpful in every way. Thank you !
