This place was awesome. A fantastic sea view, right in the heart of Trapani, which is one of the best places I have been in Italy. Absolutley fantastic! The woman who runs it was great, she gave us alot of good tips. The rooms are on the third floor, so the climb could be an issue for some visitors. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed in Trapani only 4 nights, just to see the city and a bit of Sicily. We really enjoyed the stay, it was great to be at the B&B. Alessandra is very nice and helpful. She advised us all places to see and what type of transport should be used. The breakfast are in the nearby cafe, typicall italian (Croissant and coffee), but you can take some cakes, cheese, eggs, coffee or tea ...etc at the B&B. The B&B is located at the port in the heart of the city, which is perfect location. You can walk around the old town every night and it is so close to the hotel. Also the bus AST (you can get to the airport) has the bus stop just in front of hotel. I would definatelly recommend that.

The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The property was on the main road opposite the harbour and in a good position. I would recommend this property to other people. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Sicily.

Perfect welcome and precious tips given by our host. Excellent location, though the proximity of the port made our night very noisy...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Monday afternoon till Friday morning. It is only 200 metres to the airport shuttle bus stop. A single way ticket from the airport costs only 2,5 Euro, (so do not buy the ticket that Ryanair offers in the plane for 8 Euro). The airport had the fastest luggage handling I have ever experienced, we got our suitcases after 2 minutes! The hotel was exellently situated in the old historic centre with narrow streets, and had a beautiful view of the busy port, the Mediterranean and the islands off the coast from tke balcony. Look at the photoes on the web page, the rooms are just as nice as they look there. Our host,Fabio, welcomed us warmly and informed us about the sights of Trapani.Happily he speaks English, and we do not speak Italian. This is a safe ,quiet place. Lots of small places to eat and drink close to the hotel. The hotel breakfast is served at an elegant cafe a few minutes walk away through the old city in Corso Victor Emmanuel. We had to buy more than the sweet horn and coffee that were included in the price, to be full. But the employees were nice, and the cakes there were wonderful.

The location is ideal for visiting Trapani or getting the ferries to the islands. The owners could'nt have been more helpful, welcoming and full of useful information. The rooms are very comfortable with marvellous views over the harbour. The old town is very interesting and has lots of good places to eat and bars to people watch from.

I would appreciate to have breakfast in the b&b instead of going to the conventioned bar. Since there are only few rooms, and the owners are very kind, it could be nice they ask the guests if and what they want for breakfast, offering however, a limited standard as tea, coffee, yoghurt, cereals with milk. all the rest was perfect, close to the center, to the sea, nice sights, nice rooms with books on shelves and good night sweets.

We had an excellent stay at "Il Colori del Vento". Positive points: + very well furnished room, like in an hotel + staff very competent and friendly + great location to visit the town & the islands. Negative points: + room noisy because of the vicinity to the harbour. + breakfast in a bar. good breakfast, but not enough (compared with other places)

Though late arrival we had a very warm and hearty welcome. Room was as described in the web. The location was near the ferry harbour, therefore a litte noisy, but this was obvious before booking. We enjoyed staying on the balcony and watching ferries and cruisers coming in. Alessandra and her husband created a very warm and relaxing atmosphere and the rooms are perfect. We would return there at any time and also recommend the B&B to others.

Hotel quality for hostel prices. Alessandra and her family went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accomodate our needs. This has to be one of the loveliest, best value for money B&B's in Sicily. Beautiful new clean rooms with sea views, big fluffy towels, hot high pressure showers, TVs and fridges into the room. Highly recommended.

We only stayed one night at I Colori del Vento but wish we had stayed longer. It was easily the best place we stayed throughout our 5 week trip through Italy and France. We arrived by bus, and the bus station is probably a 20 minute walk to the B&B which is near one of the ferry terminals and the old centre of town. It's on the top floor of a building - maybe 3rd floor and reached by a steep staircase - can be a struggle with luggage. At the top you are greeted by the very friendly owner Alessandra. She shows you your room and you step in and think...WOW. Why didn't we come here earlier! Why are we only staying one night! Our room was on two levels. To reach the shower and toilet you had to go up the open staircase, across the glass floor and then into the tiled bathroom. All was spotlessly clean, and wonderfully designed and matched. There's also a balcony in the room with views out over the harbour, although if the wind is blowing hard maybe you can't sit outside. Alessandra is helpful and answers any questions you have about the place. They also have a system where they can give you a key to the B&B (but not your room) so that you can leave your luggage there. Breakfast is served in a cafe 5 minutes walk from the B&B. makes sense as there are only 4 rooms so easier for the owner. Not sure how it could be improved! Maybe have a computer with internet for guests to use in the small reception but not absolutely necessary. Trapani itself is a nice town. Make sure you eat in Osteria La Bettolaccia - just round the corner form the B&B. The food was delicious and made with the greatest care by the owner /cook / waiter! Alessandra also recommended the fishermen coop restaurant but that was closed on the day we were there. Nearby there are beaches and other towns to visit, as well as the islands. If only we had had more time!
