Bed and Breakfast Torre Sangiovanni - Colvalenza, Todi

Hystorical building managed with love.

This is a truly beautiful hotel. Spacious room and immaculate. Such wonderful service. My husband has a food allergy and they went above and beyond to provide adequate options for him. The meals were fabulous.

After a long journey we were welcomed by the owner with coffee and delicious home made cakes. The Tower was renovated to a very high standard in keeping with its history. The location was ideal for visiting the surrounding hilltop towns all within driving distance. Plenty of Free Parking.

This charming, small hotel, 7 kilometres from Todi, lived up to its high marks given in previous reviews. The smallish rooms are beautifully decorated, as are the public spaces and attractively planted outside terrace and grounds. A creditable dining room offers good-sized portions of Umbrian specialities that satisfy tired travelers at the end of a long day. Our only quibble was the quasi-surburban location of this centuries old building that didn't offer much in the way of early morning exploratory walks. Otherwise, Torre Sangiovanni is a charming Italian country inn where I would happily book another room on my next visit to the region.

Rosaly was warm and welcoming during our short stay at Torre Sangiovanni. We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy the surrounding area and Rosaly's hospitality. The building had a working lift, lovely breakfast and a friendly (and obedient) dog.

The village Colvalanze where Torre Sangiovanni is to be found is a really small, quite city where you find only few cafes (I have counted two) or shops (I have counted one). The village also gives the impression that part of it is abandoned. However, B&B Torre Sangiovanni is exactly as on the photographs and is nice and well maintained. It is the perfect spot if you decide for a holiday in a rural area. Todi is not too far away by car, but not on walking distance. In my opinion, Todi was somewhat disappointing: quite a bit less attractive than, for example, Bevagna, Orvieto, Spoleto, or Gubbio.

We had a wonderfull time at this hotel which we will recommend to all our friends. Also the food was excellent !

Perfect in every way. We had only reserved one night, and when we arrived the property was so lovely we asked if we could stay longer (we did, 3 days). Our hostess is a chef, a kind and wonderful woman, who served delicious breakfasts and dinners. She gave us recommendations on where to go and what to see. We felt she became our good friend. And most of all, the accommodations - the room and everything in this renovated medieval building, were well-appointed and absolutely beautiful. The surrounding countryside was calm and peaceful, and we wanted to stay even longer. We want to return!
