Bed and Breakfast Ville Vieille - Piano di Sorrento, Sorrento

I stayed for a week at Ville Vielle with two of my friends. We had an issue with our car hire at Naples Airport so we were late getting to the hotel. It was a mission getting there due to having to drive on the left, and was difficult to find as signposts were confusing and misleading, however a samaritan finally escorted us to the hotel at 2am! We woke up in the morning to glorious sunshine and views over Bay of Naples. Antonio and Mary, the proprietors were fantastic, really looked after us. Breakfast was straight from supermarket but cafe latte was fantastic! Rooms and bathroom were adequate and clean. Overall a great choice, and woud return to the hotel as it was peaceful and a great base for touring Amalfi coast and surrounding area.

A beautiful place in a strategic position half way between the coast of Sorrento and Amalfi. Staff helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast in a unique landscape.

Very nice place! We stayed 4 nights instead of 2. Signora didn't spoke english, signor spoke little bit. Though they where very frienly! Good situation to make trips for example Positano,Amalfi, Sorrento,Pompeij.Little hard to find without navigator.

This is a wondeful B&B outside Sorrento. Pearched on a hill side overlooking Sorrento.Wonderful view. Had breakfast outside. The owners were very accomadating, we just had to ask if we wanted something else for breakfast and it was provided . We asked for eggs, and we had freash from her chickens. It is a little hard to find and the decent into the property is very steep. Scary. But once in we really enjoyed our stay . We even stayed an extra night.

Quite place in the "mountain" near Sorrento (1 mns by car), on the road of Amalti. Nice welcome, clean rooms with direct outdoor access with tables and chairs on the terrasse, see view (not a 5* big blue, but... see view from the garden. Sympathique couple not fluent in english but will do his best to help !!! Nice place for a low price, no noice from the road... good value for money... in Sorrento !

Not a very good review indeed. B&B hard do find. When found VERY STEEP and narrow drive down to residents. We are not smokers but to be welcomed by someone with a butt hang'n out of her mouth didn't sit well with me and my wife. Rooms are small and little room to put luggage. Bathroom too dark with no room to put personal hygiene items. Toilet took 4-5 times to flush. No insulation in walls or doors so our room was noisy especially when someone’s preparing breakfast every morning. Smoking in the common area is a no-no too but sitting a breakfast one morning whiffing down second-hand smoke again didn’t sit right with us. Italian Breakfast nothing to write home about – every item was pre-packaged and so-so. Coffee good! View of coast line only seen while outside in back yard. CUTE 8mo Kitty there!!! NO INTERNET the whole time we were there!!! Some issue with the router but they knew about it but never got it fixed!! Their “fix” was to have us go up to the grandmother’s room and use her computer!!! You’re kidding me right?! Had to leave early due to this and didn’t pay full price either!!! We originally planned on staying 5 nights but barely made it to 3 nights! Interesting that the owner said they were fully booked BUT we NEVER saw anyone stay there more than two nights and one room was never used. One night the local dogs were barking so loud we had to shut all the windows and turn on the AC unit. WELL the fan in the unit was out of balance so it made more noise than the DOGS! No sleep that night… Excellent restaurant right up the street though – Zio Sam Restaurant & Pizzeria!!! Went there two nights! Great food at a great price!!! (see, we’re all not that bad) :)

Beautiful, quiet place, very friendly. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. English was scant, but we got by fine. Nearby restaurants are very good. Skinny driveway best for a skinny car.

We had a fantastic couple of days at Ville Vieille. From the moment we arrived - exhausted - we were welcomed and looked after by the wonderful Antonio and his wife, thank you! The location was perfect with excellent views over the bay, a real find and just what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Rome. Breakfast was brought to us each morning on the terrace, fresh fruit juice, excellent coffee and a selection of pastries. Great restaurant just up the road which Antonio recommended to us, we went both nights. My top tip - dont think you can walk here from Piano de Sorrento train station with your sat nav as we did - take a taxi and save yourself 3 hours hiking! Highly recommended

Welcoming owners, helpful with limited English.Kindly provided early breakfast. Lovely outlook from terrace. Excellent restaurants & bus service nearby.Would have appreciated more pillows & towels changed daily.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, nice place, wonderful views while breakfasting on the terrace,and very pleasant kind people. The drive entrance is a little challenging, particularly with a large car!
