We stayed here in Oct 2013, what a beautiful place and the staff was superb! My friend had hurt her ankle and the owner Maria volunteered to drop us in town a couple of times. Beautiful quiet area with great views. It is on a hill though, so walking back and forth to town was a challenge for my friend.

What a nice place to stay in Sorrento! Kudos to Carmela and the owners. The view, the room, the attention, it was all more than I had expected. It is always a "gamble" when choosing a place to stay based on what you can see online... Not with Villa Oriana Relais! Will definetly stay there again if I have the opportunity!

This is more than just a place to stay, it was part of the wonderful experience of staying in Sorrento in the springtime. It was even more lovely than the photographs on the website and in the brochure. The feeling of a private villa in a lemon grove is still maintained even though there has been a tasteful modernization. You feel as if you were using the family antiques, silver and lacy linens. Everything is spacious, comfortably elegant, in good working order, and secluded. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight. If you can handle the steep, paved walkway into town, you can be on the main street in less than 10 minutes. The young staff -- Carmella, Maria and Magdalena -- are exceptionally professional and friendly. They went out of way to help us arrange the details of a day trip to Amalfi. We would love to return.

Maria and staff were very warm and welcoming. Breakfast consisted of homemade orange juice from local trees and various lemon cakes, chocolate cakes, caprese breakfast pie, mozzarrella and much more! The views of Vesuvius and Capri are amazing. Be prepared to hire a taxi to sorrento (20 Euro) or plan on a 30 minute walk to the center of town...which we did several times. Easy access to Capri and to tours of the Amalfi coast. Prices more reasonable in Sorrento than Positano.

The Villa Oriana Relais is a dream! The room and bathroom was large, clean, and lovely. We had a beautiful bouquet of flowers in the room to welcome us. And I cannot say enough about the kindness and wonderful service given to us by Maria and Giuseppe! We felt like family after having stayed there only one night. Their gardens and gorgeous sea views are a beautiful setting for Maria's amazing homecooked breakfast! My favorite hotel during our vacation. A++

Plainly, these folks care about your enjoyment of your stay in their fair city and are ready and willing to help you in any way they can. A lovely, relaxing property I'd recommend without hesitation.

Sorrento was our last stop after Milan, Lake Como (Bellagio) and Rome on our trip to Italy in late April to beginning of May 2008. We picked Villa Oriana on the internet as it looked and sounded lovely. We must say that it certainly met our expectations. The property is beautifully maintained and just the walk from the gate to the house on the path flanked with orange and olive trees put us at ease. We were met by Maria, the owner and gracious hostess, who immediately went out of her way to help us to take care of an unpleasant incident that had happened to us earlier in the day. We enjoyed our spacious, very clean room with a good-size bathroom with access to the patio, from where we had a view of mighty Vesuvius. And not to forget the nice breakfasts Maria, her husband Giuseppe and their able staff served us - on real linens. The only minor drawback is that Villa Oriana is about a 15-minute walk to the center of Sorrento and, coming back, is rather a steep climb but, after walking a lot in Italy, we were in good shape for it. The taxis are very expensive.

Our room was unavailable the first night due to plumbing issues. They accomodated us nicely by placing us in a 4 start hotel down the street and moved our luggage the next day when the room was ready. The place is located in an orchard and the fresh blood oranges and lemons were great. The breakfast was exceptional with a panoramic view and the food plentiful and varied.

Villa Oriani was a beautiful B&B with superior surroundings/facilities. Our greeting was wonderful-complete with fresh lemonade and out- door seating on a balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples/Pompeii. Maria and Ornella were extremely helpful with everything. They even recommended a restaurant who would pick us up and return us to our B&B for dinner. Everything was perfect-phenominal breakfasts with homemade bakery and fresh mozzarella. We have stayed at multiple B&B's-this is by far the best ever.Drawback-marble floors carary sound-a little loud at times.

Hello, For the first time we spent some days in Villa Oriana with our boys (teens) in summer 03. The second time we were there with one couple in March 05. This year (March 08) we were in Villa Oriana for the third time) and we have brought some friends with us (8 Person). We like this place located in the lemon and orange garden and the family atmosphere very much. We will come back definitely as a group. Ewa Koniarz

Don't really know where to start. This place did not even have pillows that can be used. The towels were thin like bedsheets. There were no extra blankets given. No adequate shower gel or soap in the bathroom. The location "st. Agnela" is supposed to be a walking distance from Sorrento, as quoted on the web site. Don't be fooled. Unless you feel like being struck my cars and trucks on the road, there is no walking path. This is not the place to stay, for young people, who wants to sight seeing. This place is perfect for older people, who want to relax in solitude. Overall, we had to shorten our stay, so we can go somewhere else.

If you need a few goceries or bread for a lunch box head for the railway station - at the foot of the steps facing the station turn right and go to the end of the street. On the right hand side at the courner is a great little shop whose owner gives a sweet to children and foreigners who buy his produce. It is great, he is great but his english is not. Your Italian will improve there.

My father and I took an extended trip to Italy and this was by far the most wonderful place to stay. I can't call it a hotel or even a pension as it was so much more. Maria, her family & staff went out of their way to be helpful and treated us with much kindness. The rooms are very spacious, uncluttered, and comfortable. The public space offers spectacular views of Vesuvius, The Bay of Naples, & the islands. Breakfast was delicious with homemade cake, excellent coffee, etc., every morning. The setting of the villa is within orange and lemon orchards so each room has a lovely aspect as well as a balcony or patio. It is a steep climb up from Sant Agnello to Villa Oriana but my 75 year old father & I managed quite well. It is also very easy (and inexpensive) to get a taxi. I would highly recommend Villa Oriana as a base to explore Pompeii, Herculeneum, Sorrento, Capri, etc. A sincere "Thank you" to Maria & her family. I will return.

We booked a double room in this quiet family run bed & breakfast in the coastal town of Sorrento. We were given a room with a breathtaking view overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. On our arrival, we were offered a lemon juice made from fresh lemons picked from their orchard. The path leading up to the house was lined with lemon trees and other fruit trees, from which they also make their own marmalade. Breakfast was one of the highlights. Everything was home grown or local produce and the owner even baked two cakes (one savoury and one sweet) every morning. The rooms were spacious and spotless and nicely decorated. The only downside was the steep, winding road up the hill to the Villa. Although the Villa was conveniently located, just a 5/10 min walk from the main street, the town centre was a bit further (20 min walk), but it was well worth staying there as it is halfway in between Naples and Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. The hotel also offers parking facilities which can come in handy, specially in the busy summer months. Staff were very friendly and helpful too and gave us indications and directions on how to reach the major sights. Overall, we took home a very good impression and we would not hesitate just a bit in recommending this lovely place.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Oriana. We arrived during "siesta" time and could not find a taxi so a very kind policeman, Salvatore, took up to the B&B. We were greeted by Maria who made us a coffee and invited us into her kitchen to watch her aunties make strufoli (a typical Italian New Year's treat). She gave us maps and a magazine about things going on in Sorrento. We loved the orchard surrounding. The breakfasts were wonderful (fresh tomatoes, marmelades from the citrus on the property, fresh squeezed juice, and homemade cakes). It was a walk into Sorrento but we has wonderful weather and love to walk so it was not a problem. We were there for New Year's eve. Maria invited us and the other quests to the roof top to watch the fireworks. Amazing and beautiful. Solid fireworks from Naples to Sorrento. The view from the dining room is wonderful: the bay and Mt. Vesuvius.

Our stay at Valla Oriana exceeded every expectation. It was the most welcoming, beautiful setting in our three week trip throughout Italy. The hospitality extended to our group was so warm and genuine. Signora Maria and Signore Giusseppe make every guest feel special and like a part of the family. And the sweet Ivana, who is spending her summer at Villa Oriana as concierge/hostess was charming and adorable. We wished she could come home with us! The setting is truly dreamlike-among the lemon and orange trees-overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. All this and The World Cup celebration in the village below! Everything I read about Villa Oriana was surpassed. Our room was pristine and elegant. The breakfast - delicious perfection and so personal. We felt trluy sad when it was time to leave and would return in a minute if it were possible. Susan Bartolini Baltimore, MD

What an enchanting villa! We arrived at Villa Oriana exhausted after touring Italy for two weeks (running from one place to another) and this villa provided with a cozy respite from the vacation. There are not enough good things I can say about Villa Oriana to do it justice. First, it has a fabulous panoramic view of Sorrento and the ocean, which can be enjoyed from your room’s balcony. Second, if you are looking for a tranquil time, the lemon groves set the tone with its citrus smell. Just as fantastic is the homemade complimentary breakfast: chocalate cake (made without flour), natural lemonade (made from their own trees), delicious marmalade (again, made from their fruit trees), fresh (and I mean fresh) mozzarella cheese…and I better stop there because all this talk is making me crave the wonderful feast. Last but not least, is the extraordinary customer service provided by the owners of the villa. They truly go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Another important fact to know about Villa Oriana (and Sorrento for that matter) is that is an excellent hub to visit other places. You can stay here and take daily excursions to close by sights such as Pompeii, the Amalfi coast, Capri and so forth. Enjoy your stay…I know you will! Final notes: 1. Although we had to share bathrooms with other rooms, they were extremely clean. 2. Make sure you take a taxi to the villa, unless of course you want a good work out.

We were unable to stay at Villa Oriana because a bomb scare had closed the highwawy and had caused previous guests to stay on so our room was not available. We were very disappointed because we were welcomed with homemade lemonade and limoncello and the smell of freshly baked breads. The view from the balconies was beathtaking and the staff very welcoming. They took us to a nearby hotel where we stayed for the price we had booked at Villa Oriana. We walked down the hill to town but were glad to take a taxi back up. It is far enough from town that you do not go back and forth to your hotel. Our experience with Sorrento taxi drivers was not good - be sure you agree on a price before entering the cab.

We arrived at the villa exhausted. Maria took us under her wing and settled us on the terrace with homemade cookies and lemonade. The greeting area, eating area and terrace are picturesque. We awaited Pasqualae's arrival because there was a problem with our request for a room that was accessible to my elderly mother who uses a walker to walk. Pasquale arrived and was quite open about the miscommunication. He said he simply did not see our request on his email. The room reserved for us was down a flight of stairs from the main building. He immediately arranged for us to stay, for the quoted price, at the Hotel Christina, not even a half a block away. This hotel was beautiful and on the same street overlooking the Bay of Naples. Pasqulae brought us and our luggage to the hotel and made all of the arrangements. This hotel was handicapped accessible. The staff was nowhere as charming as Maria and Pasquale. In the morning we returned to a fabulous breakfeast at Villa Oriana. Maria made Caprese cake and everything was beautiful and delicous. The whole family was so nice to my mother and we loved them. They arranged for a cab to take us to the ferry in Sorrento to Capri that day, they allowed us to leave our car and excess luggage at the villa while we stayed overnight at Capri. They were superb hosts and we didn't even stay in the building. I plan to return here, these people were among the nicest we met on our trip.

This was our 5th trip to the Naples/Amalfi coast area and our first stay in Sorrento. We normally stay in Positano or Amalfi. I was not disappointed with this B&B or the area. The B&B is in a beautiful setting and would have been difficult to find if I had not read thru the reviews in which other patrons gave some more detailed directions/land markers. Breakfast and coffee was terrific and our room/bath was quite clean and spacious. The owners are extremely friendly and attentive to their guests needs. I would highly recommend Villa Oriana.

The combination of the beautiful surroundings, the comfortable rooms and the wonderful breakfast (freshly squeezed orange juice and fruits, homemade marmalade and doughnuts, fresh bread, cheese and salame, etc.) made the Villa Oriana a perfect place to stay. I have been to the Naples area a few times and this is far and beyond any of the other hotels I've stayed in. Everyone in our group said they would highly recommend this to anyone. Don't be put off by the way this website makes it look so far away from everything. We were able to walk from the St. Agnello CV station with relative ease (and that's even including one member of our party who cannot easily walk long distances). It might be easier to take a cab with your luggage though. We also found Maria and Pepe to be very friendly people who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. My one recommendation would be to plan on spending several days here because once you get here, you won't want to leave.

This place is wonderful, and Maria, her husband Pepe, and son Pasquale are excellent hosts. Yes, the Villa is up quite a steep hill running off the main road, and yes, there was some noise from crowing cockerels & barking dogs in the morning. But that's preferable to the permanent buzz of vespas & other traffic if you're staying in downtown Sorrento. We were made to feel very welcome from the start, and on several occasions after coming back from dinner in town, we were invited into the family's kitchen for a late-night drink with their friends. The rooms are clean, comfortable & spacious, and the breakfasts on the terrace with the view of the coastline are fantastic (and set you up for the day). On the morning we left (for Naples, to catch a pre-booked onward train to Florence), Maria drove us down to Sant'Agnello station (which is all part of the "standard" service). When we got there & discovered that there was a local train strike, Maria bundled us back into her car & sped down to Sorrento harbour in time for us to catch the only ferry for Naples which would enable us to catch our onward train. I'm sure that is also "standard" service at Villa Oriana, but it wouldn't be at many other places. The location is an ideal base for exploring the main attractions of Naples and the Amalfi coast. And the setting of the accommodation within lemon & olive groves is charming. Sant'Agnello train station & local buses are a 10min downhill walk, and we found that taxi drivers in downtown Sorrento DO know where the Villa is (about 16 Euro away). And if you are arriving at Naples airport, Villa Oriana can arrange for a private car to pick you up & take you straight there for about 80 Euro. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Maria & family - Jonathan & Emma thank you for a wonderful time!

Locating Villa Oriana for the first time is a challenge, particularly at night! On only one night did we encounter a local taxi driver who knew precisely where it was. An instruction such as "At Saint'Agnello follow signs to Hotel Christina and then go past that hotel a further 100 metres" would have helped... We visited in mid October 2004, which co-incided with decidely changeable weather, virtually every evening treating us to spectacular thunderstorms, lightning and torrential rain. This is pertinent for the clients at Villa Oriana as if, like us, you choose to do much of your travelling on foot (i.e. from or to the Saint'Agnello railway station), you need to be aware that in these conditions the road up to the hotel becomes like a river bed! The climb on foot up to the hotel is really quite steep, though not too long - but it would not suit elderly clients unused to such physical hiking. The hotel itself was exactly as described, dicreetly concealed in a lemon grove on the hill-side, the staff very welcoming and helpful, delicious breakfasts with stunning views across the Bay of Naples. We were allocated a room in the separate building below the main hotel, which necessitated a climb through the lemon grove and up steps to the breakfast room - OK provided it's not tipping with rain! As forewarned by previous clients in these reviews, we were certainly treated to the sound of competing cockerals crowing each morning, and the odd dog barking, but frankly we did not find this intrusive or a problem. The room and bathroom were very acceptable if basic, also with great views across the bay to Vesuvius. Bath towels are not luxurious and fluffy, but more like huge tea towels - i.e. basic but adequate! The one serious omission we felt was the lack of tea-making facilities. A simple electric jug or kettle, with cups, tea and coffee would be a comparatively minor additional investment by the management, and would have made all the difference for us. We would imagine

Noise level in rooms was given a poor rating due to dogs barking for over an hour which woke us up in the morning. I suspect this was just a problem with some guests who had dogs and would not be a regular occurence, but thought I should mention it.

The welcome we received from the famliy was fantastic. Being only the second ever visitors to walk up to the villa with our luggage we were greeted with a glass of fresh lemonade (made from lemons grown in the grove outside the door!). All the breakdfast produce was freshly made by Maria or her friends - it was truly beautiful. The views were amazing well worth the 20 min walk out of Sorrento. The only noise around was the cockerel in the morning and some nearby dogs but we soon got used to them. All round a gorgeous place to stay.

The property could be great. However there are 2 houses and we were put in the "lower" house down several flights of stairs. Beside us was a dirty shack with chickens and a NOISY rooster. Around us was MANY dogs who barked all night. There were 6 puppies in the apt below us who cried all nite and someone would continuously scream at them. Very unsettling. The accomodation was 2 rooms ... one had a great view, the other none! It was at the back of the house with no air flow.... very hot. No AC. We had 2 very poor sleeps which are a concern on a busy holiday. You asked!!!!!! Nancy

Villa Oriana was the first stop of our two week vacation and definitely set the bar high for future residences. The view is amazing, the breakfast delicious and the advice from Pasquale is priceless. While the Villa is up a little from town, it wasn't an inconvenience. In fact, it was nice to be away from the noises of town during the evening hours. We would definitely return to Villa Oriana.

I can not say enough positive things about Villa Oriana. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The Villa is set in the middle of an active lemon orchard on a hillside overlooking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner and offered a glass of lemonade and a seat on the terrace to relax. The views were breathtaking. The property has been in this family for generations and their pride in ownership shows. They were very generous, caring and attentive to our needs (my wife was pregnant during our stay). The room was good sized and warm with minimal tastful decorations. The morning breakfast was light and delicious with fresh fruits and cheeses and homemade breads and marmellata. Our only regret is that our stay was so short. I hightly recommend Villa Oriana and hope to stay again in the future.

Owners of property are gracious, welcoming and most accomodating Physical environment is beautiful Villa Oriana is a first rate B&B. The only negative is the steep walk to reach property. Clearly not a problem if you have a car. Please note in property description that at the time we were there they did not accept credit cards. I understand that they are correcting this limitation.

Our time spent at the Villa Oriana was the most memorable of our 10-day Italy vacation. Pasquale, his mom and family treated us as family...Guiseppi droves us to the train station for our Pompei visit...provided us with a beautiful, spacious room overlooking the Bay of Naples...and a jacussi tub after a day of sightseeing...on Saturday night they host a dinner for all the guests with remarkable food, wine and atmosphere. Although the directions were a bit confusing and no sign posted on the main road...I would highly recommend the Villa Oriana for all who visit Sorrento...

A good alternative to high price hotels in the area. Very freindly family run. Parking if you rent a car ok but we found walking just as easy. Remember that if you want to take a train in you will need to switch to the "circumvesuviana" company at Naples - this is in the same railroad station. All you will need is a transit ticket that you must buy at the circumvesuviana desk. If anyone approaches you with offers of help or advice they will almost certainly expect a tip in Naples. Also note that if you take this train get off one stop BEFORE Sorrento that will be "Saint Agnello" - then you can call Maria or one of the other family members who will be happy to come down and pick you up in their car - they will not be able to do this if you go all the way into Sorrento. Also, just in case there is a train strike in Naples when you arrive, A Ferry company runs trips out to Sorrento from Naples harbour (this same company serves much of the Amalfi Coast although the name escapes me).

Wow...how do I describe such a marvelous experience? From the moment I walked through the archway of orange trees to enter the grounds of Villa Oriana, I knew I selected the perfect place to stay. Maria, Pasquale, Pepe and their family and friends are all involved in making Villa Oriana feel like a home away from home. As a solo traveler, I always had other guests share travel tips with me and I never sat alone for meals. The food was excellent...homemade pastries, fresh squeezed juices. The ambience was delightful...clean, crisp, modern decor with beautiful ocean views from the balcony and picture perfect sunsets. Traveling around town and to nearby sites including Capri, Pompei and the Amalfi Coast was easy to do using public transportation. I highly recommend Villa Oriana to anyone who doesn't mind being up on a hill at a peaceful retreat, away from the loud scooters which frequent Sorrento's main road, Corso Italia.

We loved this place. Pasquale and Maria were outstanding hosts. It is in fact a functioning lemon farm and the lemons were in abundance when we went in April. The entire surroundings smelled wonderful. The room we stayed in had an excellent view of the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius and I know ours wasn't the only one. Breakfast was excellent as was the dinner they offered on Saturdays only for a modest extra charge. My newlywed wife and I felt it was a perfect place to spend part of honeymoon. We would return to Sorrento just to stay at this place again.

We thought this was a marvellous place, the setting which must be uniquely beautiful, in a lemon grove on the hillside looking out over the bay of Naples at sunset. We travelled with my 86 year old father in law and the family were kindness itself, made us extremely welcome, gave us lifts every morning into town, and advised us where to go and how to get there. I would say it is a top choice for any holiday travellers.

Maria, Peppe and Pasquale are charming, breakfast is wonderful and the view is breathtaking. I thoroughly recommend this place. If you go by car, look out for the Agip garage on the right. On the left is a stone archway, a large tree and a tiny lane (hardly big enough for a car) with a signpost to a hotel. Go up this tiny lane. Soon it turns into a pathway, so you turn right. Go past the hotel. The second or third set of gates on the right is the Villa Oriana.

I enjoyed my stay at Villa Oriana. Pascuale, the owner, was wonderful. We had difficulty getting to Sorrento because of the blackout, but he offered to pick us up in Naples at midnight. The only drawback to the place is the location. Public transportation is not convenient and the place is a little difficult to get to because it's a hike up the hill. But the owners were more than accommodating to take us to the train station or drop us off at spots in Sorrento. We looked forward to the breakfast served every morning as they were delicious....fresh mozzarella, freshly squeezed orange juice, salami, etc. The owners were all wonderful and welcoming.

The road to the Villa is a litte difficult to find and quite difficult to negotiate. We had trouble getting someone to open up the gate. When we got to the Villa, we were told the two rooms we had reserved were not available due to a mix up. They had two rooms but with a shared bath. We could have these rooms at a reduced rate or they would find us somewhere else to stay. We chose to have them find us somewhere else. The son (Pasqualle) made new arrangements and personally showed us where the place was. It was very nice but did not have any view. After we told him that we really were not satisfied, he found us another hotel with a fabulous view. He paid the difference in price and again guided us to the hotel. The next night we stayed at the Villa. PAsqualle was extremely gracious and helpfull as was the rest of his family. They were the most friendly and memorable people we meet on our 17 day trip. Breakfast was wonderful and served on a terrace with a great view. Their property was very nice. Unfortunately there were several properties in the area that were not keep up very well. Also there were several dogs and roosters that keep up their barking and crowing all night. Because the place was so nice and the family so wonderful, we would not hestitate to stay here again or recommend this place to others.

The Villa Oriana is a superb place to stay with beautiful surroundings in peaceful hillside just outside Sorrento. The rooms are classy and tasteful, as is the rest of the house, with lovely gardens and lemon groves. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and provided a breakfast that could keep you going all day. The only problem was finding the place - it took us more than an hour to located the turning to the hotel. Some clearer directions would have been helpful. However, I would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to others.

We feel really lucky to have found this beautiful villa to stay while in Sorrento. The host family were so welcoming, friendly and helpful - even giving us a ride to the train station with our bags on our way home! The rooms were spacious and clean and the views well worth the walk up the hill! A good distance from the busy streets below and from the hub of Sorrento town. We found the taxis to be very expensive, so walked everywhere at all times of day/night - which was fine and safe.

This is an excellent place to stay in Sorrento, especially if you have a car. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful. The grounds and views from the breakfast room are gorgeous. Maria and Pasquale are gracious hosts and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The only drawback is you are a downhill walk from the bus stop to the town center. This was my first trip to Italy and Villa Oriana was the highlight of our stay. Villa Oriana is situated right in the middle of a beautiful orange and lemon grove on the hillside above San Angello with a view of Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. The room we had was spacious and very clean with a balcony view that took our breath away. Pasquale and his family made us feel right at home. Maria made the most wonderful breakfasts and Pasquale made sure we were in the right place to take a boat out to Capri and helped us with other travel arrangements. Sorrento is within walking distance or a short bus ride and is wonderful to explore. I recommend this Villa to anyone looking for a really nice, affordable place to stay while in Italy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Villa Oriana. The welcome was wonderful and surroundings just gorgeous. Our hosts went above and beyond the call of duty, offering to drop us in town if needed and taking us out to the movies. It's been said before, but the breakfast is just amazing! Lots of home cooking and local produce. You won't be disappointed by Villa Oriana, that's for sure. Just one thing, it's a little tricky to find the first time. If you're coming from Naples and you pass the overhead bridge, then you've gone too far. Hope you enjoy your stay there as much as we did...

Our overall stay was excellent. However we were upset that we were only told the day before we left that they did not take credit cards. I suggested that this be put boldly on their web site as this could make this very difficult for guests like us to obtain - cash - at short notice and we would not carry that amount with us at any one time. However we were able to sort things out thankfully. The room our friends had was unfortunately near to a Garage where hired cars were kept - and each morning at 5.am the proprietor came and moved out cars thus making it very noisy. Can't see how this could be overcome. Pity - for otherwise everything was lovely. I am sure we will go back there sometime. We were given a card displaying the hotel location upon arrival but this would be more advantageous on the website - or sent by post prior to visit - as we travelled by taxi from Naples airport and had difficulty in finding it - late in the evening.
