Stayed whilst on holiday - excellent experience. Wonderful room with own private balcony overlooking the Marina and bay of Naples. Lovely building and location with the added bonus of a internet facility> Nuns were just lovely and we had a great three day stay. Would highly recommend for others wanting to stay outside Sorrento.

the hotel was fine for what we wanted with the room being tidy and clean. It's within easy walking distance of the town and for bars etc. The staff are a bit miserable and not very welcoming but you don't have to spend time with them although a smile and a few words wouldn't hurt now and again, we did try and converse with the guy on the front desk but to no avail. Florence is a really nice city, get the open top hop on hop off bus tour if you're only there for a short while it's a good way to get a lot crammed into a short time.

we were going to be late from the Naples airport. Called the B&B to let them know. No problem. We were met graciously, given directions to a restaurant to eat, and even had our bags stored for a day. The nuns were wonderful, even the one who didn't speak English. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, well worth the price of a room!! Only problem we had was originally finding the place and pulling our bags down a tight street with a lot of moving traffic.

We loved the Domus San Vincenzo. The nuns are very welcoming and accommodating. The gardens are lovely and views stupendous. Location a little out of the way, quite a walk into town and trains/buses. Very quiet but children welcome and can play safe in gardens. They let us heat water for tea and picnic on our balcony or in garden. Only 1 drawback, the street they are on has no sidewalks and you must walk in street, also badly lit at night. And you can't come in late.

This is a convent. Its great for families and older couples. They have a curfew and certain hours for eating.Which seems to be more conducive to a family that's traveling. The place is beautiful but not ideal for young people traveling. The location is a bit of a way from the downtown if your walking and cabs are overly priced. We only stayed one night finding the situation a little odd for us. But the sisters couldn't have been more hospitable.

I stayed in a large family room with my two older children, and had a fantastic stay. Our room had an ensuite bathroom and a lovely balcony with beautiful views over the Bay of Naples. The room was spacious, clean and airy. It did seem unusual to knock on the door of a convent to ask for Bed & Breakfast, but the nuns were unfailingly friendly. Only one sister spoke English, so our conversation with the others was limited! I was impressed by the genuine kindness shown to our family, especially when we arrived early, somewhat dishevelled, in the early afternoon when no one was expecting us. Breakfast was prompt, with good coffee. Somewhat limited in selection, perhaps, would be my only real criticism. The directions to the B&B were hard to follow, though we did get there. It is only a 10 minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train station, but the last part of the walk is on a narrow road without any path for pedestrians, so I would recommend a taxi for anyone with young chidren. For people interested in the beach - it is a 10 minute walk (very steep, busy narrow road) to the nearest public beach, which is small, and pretty. It was not too busy when we were there in June, but the water was filled with rubbish, and the dark sand stained my daughters swimming costume. The beach itself was clean, and family friendly. Fortunately, most people staying here are coming for the historic sites and other attractions, for which the B&B is conveniently located.

Very calm , gentle and nice living - far from the buzy touriststream. The location at the coastbarrier very nice, maybe a little longer walk from the railwaystation than we had expected, otherwise a very good base for excursions in the neighbourhood in the Sorrentoarea as the trains went very often.A nice small restaurant-pizzeria in a street next by.

This is a lovely accommodation in a wonderfully scenic setting and with your traveling euros going to a good cause. However, be prepared for an almost impossible to find location; we had to phone the convent 3 times to get there. And never arrive on Friday night in the late spring or summer; traffic was backed up to the exit on the autostrada in late April. The sign for the Hotel Klein Wien on route 145 is a help in finding the domus. When you get to the end of the road with Klein Wien to your right, turn left and the domus is only a block away.

Walking distance into town hard to find, train station. Our room faced the road and the hotel is on the corner which cars have to peep because it is a sharpe curve. So at night cars noise and beeps. Breakfast was ok coffee, tea water and a slice of something sweet there is parking spaces but limited. Shower is really small if you drop the soap good luck !

Clean and good value for families, breakfast a bit basic, the road to access place is rather dangerous to walk down. Outstanding view, english speaking sister was called to assist us.

The room was beautiful with high ceiling, mouldings and inlaid floor. An historic location. The furniture was nice wood and probably antique. We had a balcony with a table and two chairs and a dramatic view of the sea from a vantage point at the top of a cliff. The bathroom was modern but plain grey and white. The bed was a little hard and there was some traffic noise but we were tired and slept well anyway. The breakfast was adequate. The staff was gracious and helpful. We had a great time staying there and it was good value.

A charming place, high among the rooftops above the Piazza Dante. The brother and sister who run it are helpful and informative and the place is a reflection of their taste, a combination of traditional Neopolitan furniture with modern touches, and a funky retro feel to the kitchen/breakfast room. Perfectly situated to explore the Centro Storico, it is also a welcome refuge from the busy streets with its calm roof-terrace and clean, quiet rooms. We loved it, as you can tell!

quiet & peaceful provided bedroom is at the back.Beautiful view & terraces.limited hours for not very hot water. machine for card payment not working-cash only. Infrequent local bus passes-more information would be useful. From St Agnello station the route requires clarity-pass under railway & take second right (about 250m) & turn left at junction with Via Iommella Grande.

I would definitely stay at Domus San Vincenzo again, as the price was good and the nuns were very sweet in spite of the language barrier (only one sister spoke English). Remember this is only a place to rest your head so don't expect "concierge" service and respect the invitation to stay in their spiritual home. The veranda was wonderful with a fabulous view and the breakfast was more substantial than at most of the other places we stayed. One heads up: The hot water is turned off about 10pm, so make sure you plan your showers accordingly! The convent is about a 15 min. walk from the train station, so it was easy to get to Sorento and surrounding area. It was a lovely opportunity for a little calm and reflection during an exciting and fast paced trip.

I can't wait to go back! Children are very welcome here. We drove a Yukon Denali XL there and it was a tight fit through the gate and surrounding streets, but my husband managed. The area is beautiful. Had a wonderful taxi driver named Andrea that took us to the dock to go to Capri. Our guide in Capri was Elio-get him. And incredible dinner at Delfinos. We had to be in by 11 PM.

Except it's a little far from the station and downtown, there're no any other shortcomings. Anyway, who will mind that if a tripleroom with wonderful seascape only takes you €75?

Once you get out of the noise narrow street and enter the property, you will find an oasis. The garden with flowers, kiwi and grape vines, and specially the view overlooking the Naples Bay is amazing. Good memories of our four nights there, sitting outside enjoying a good wine, cheese, olives and grapes purchased in a little marked near by, not mentioning the walks to Sorrento and the surrounding area. My thaks to Mariangela providing us with good info about the area... Definitely a relaxing, simple, non expensive place to stay.

I was a bit surprised to find that the facility is still a working convent -- I thought it had been one previously. Not a problem for me but could be a problem for other visitors.

We had minor difficulties with communication, because only 2 of the staff spoke English and we are so poor in Italian language. Also the opening hours on evenings was a bit restricting. However the personnel was were friendly, the scenery was great, and the atmosphere was very special. We enjoyed the stay very much! Greetings.

THe Domus San Vincenzo is located in one of the most the most beautiful places on earth. Once you arrive and walk out into the gardens, see the views, you will not believe what a magical place you have arrived at. The rooms are large, airy and simple (it is a convent, after all.) The beds were comfortable, and the nuns made us feel very welcome. I do want to warn anyone who is driving a car there that it can be a little scary entering the property if the gate is closed. You have to either call ahead (if you can speak Italian) or you can press the button on the gate. However, this means you must stop and block the road with your car, and the road is quite narrow. I would definitely return, and loved my brief stay.

Very clean and comfortable. Location on busy street, but quiet and great views of the sea in the rear. Sisters very accomodating. . Near towns with restaurants and beaches. You can take train 1 stop to Sorrento. Walking can be treacherous as no sidewalks.

Me and my friends spent 5 nigts in B&B Domus San Vincenzo. It was our first visit in Costa Amalfitana and our stay was unforgattable. It's a beautiful place to stay here with its simple but comfortable and clean rooms. We had a great sea view of the coast, the Vesuvius and the beautiful garden. We are very grateful to the nuns for the friendly and peaceful atmosphere. So, I strongly recommanded this hotel to everyone who wants to discover the Amalfi coast. 11 points out of 10.
