Sonia was very friendly and extremely helpful - she even borrowed us her laptop to use for a few hours. That is what I call going out of your way to help people. We stayed for 3 nights. The first night we had a room which faced the road - it is extremely noisy and we had difficulty sleeping. We asked Sonia to move us to one of the back rooms and it was dead quiet. So when you make a booking, ask for one of the back rooms, not a street room. The room was big and spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. There was a washing machine in the bathroom, which was a nice surprise and as we were in the middle of a 3 week trip, it gave us a nice opportunity to wash clothes for the rest. Case Sorrentina is also close to where the bus drop you off when travelling from Rome, and the trainstation - about 10 min's walk. We arrived after 19h00 and had a lot of luggage, so we just took a taxi for 10 Euros. We were tired when we arrived, and this B&B is on the first floors, so we had to carry the luggage up one flight of stairs, but it wasn't too bad.

Great location in Sorrento, rom was very clean, service was excellent, great place to stay. Gelato Store directly below us, grocery store and rail station 2 blocks away, with luggage it is a little walk due to the sideways and roads being cobblestone. Breakfast was cereal, croissants, toast, crackers, etc. not large items but good to get going. Sonia was very helpful and attentive. Great place in a great location.

There was one night with loud music in the town square that went on until 2am. This wasn't anything the B&B could control, however. This was our first time in Sorrento. Enjoyed it very much.

Hotel was a short easy walk from the railway station. I had been advised by the proprietress to phone and let her know our arrival time--she was there to greet us and we were amazed at the spaciousness and charm of the room when we entered--actually it was an apartment! Full kitchen and eating area with 2 double beds and a decent sized bathroom. Coffe was provided in the room (an espresso pot and ground coffee) and thus available anytime we wanted it. There were abundant breakfast items in the room also. sonia was very gracious and available anytime we needed her and gave us excellent advice on local cuisine. The room was just a little noisy as the walls were a little thin (we could hear people next door cooking and talking but only in the daytime) and our lovely balcony overlooked a busy pedestrian only street full of shops.

Overall, not a bad place to stay in Sorrento. It's right on the main street and makes it easy to see all the sights in and around Sorrento. The room was very basic and had a small kitchen which was nice. Sonia was very helpful. Our big complaint would be the noise. Although it was great to watch people go by at night, the noise from the street made it VERY difficult to sleep.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Sorrentina! The rooms are very spacious and incredibly beautiful! You have your own kitchen and it is right off Piaza Tazzo. This is the best location in Sorrento, however if you have a room facing Corso Italiano it will be loud until late at night sinse it is the main pedestrian street in town. Owner is very nice and accomodating and the amenities are first rate. Would definately stay here again... it was the highlight of our vacation!

We arrived in Sorrento and decided to stay longer the next day as the city was larger than we had expected. We were allowed to keep our luggage in our room later that day until we left. We were really grateful for this! The hotel is located on the second floor which I liked. I would use it as a home base again. Breakfast is also included in your room on arrival.

The hostel owner is very kind and friendly and can speak quite understanding English! She did a very good guide when we arrived and always try to help us have fun in Sorrento. It is in the central location of Sorrento with many shops nearby. We lived in the inner room with not much noises. The room is quite big with private bathroom, washing machine, and kitchen. The facilities in the kitchen is fair. Nice B&B in Sorrento!

Sonia, the Manager, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a good central location, close to the train station. However, the shower was absolutely hopeless, it was far too small, actually tiny! The shower head fell off and the side panel of the shower-screen was broken. We had difficulty with the room key fitting the locks but Sonia arranged for a locksmith to fix the problem. It was good to have a view on to the street, as requested, except the balcony was really just a window. It was noisy but we had been warned, and expected, that. Breakfast was very basic and pre-packaged.

Casa Sorrentina is absolutely beautiful and Sonia (owner of B&B)is brilliant. We travelled to various places on the Amalfi coast and Sorrento stands out as one of my favourites simply because of this B&B. Sonia recommended the best restaurants which didn't necessarily mean the most expensive, her rooms are big, superbly located by all the buzziness of town, and the room was lovely and clean. My boyfriend and I have recommended this place to all of our friends.

This was a very clean B&B located on the main street of Sorrento. Very close to the town square and train station - which means close to the Circumvesuviana line that takes you to Naples & Pompeii. Bus stops to other Amalfi Coast towns are also located next to the train station. Shuttle buses to the port of Sorrento (with boats to Amalfi Coast areas & Capri) are located in the town square. We were the only people staying in the 6 room B&B so we had tons of privacy. We also had our own keys to come and go as we pleased. The woman that runs the B&B was very sweet - but she was not really around during our stay (she did not sleep at the B&B). We had no hot water upon arrival and therefore had no way to contact her regarding the problem. She showed up the next day and she said she'd fix it, but we never actually got hot water - and never saw her again. The room was large and had a kitchenette so we could make tea and coffee and store food in the fridge. The bathroom was big - but the shower was really small (we had to keep the doors open to make room to raise our arms.) Overall, if you want a cheap, clean place in a great location - and want to be completely left alone and self-sufficient - stay here. If you'd rather have someone who will cater to you, or will be able to help you find locations or things to do, this might not be the best place for you.

Really lovely big apartment. Spotlessly clean, right in the centre of town. The host is extremely helpful, and everything we needed for breakfast was already in the apartment for us. Highly recommended, EXCEPT, it's on the main pedestrian street so is quite noisy with people outside your window. It does get quiet around 12-1 am, but if you're want an early night it might be a problem.

Located on the main street, right in the heart of the action. Great location but can be a little noisy as room looks over main strees. Very clean, good facilities, can cook meals. Breakfast not a lot on offer and only instant coffee. Owner very friendly and helpful.

We did not arrive into Sorrento until 12.00 a.m. where we were met by Sonia who showed us where Casa Sorrentina was. She was very welcoming. The apartment was very clean and spacious with the ideal location being right in the centre of the main square, Piazza Taso, right above the ice cream shop!!! We did not have to worry about buses or taxis as we were close to all bars, restaurants and shops. We would strongly recommend staying here as the price we paid was value for money. The only thing the apartment lacks is a large shower as it was very cramped. In summary, a perfect place to stay with beautiful scenery. What a perfect holiday!!!!

We were in Sorrento for 3 days, 2 of which included an overnight stay at Casa Sorrentina. This B & B is on a very busy street that is in the middle of the shopping action. However, it was not easy to take luggage to the B & B from the train station. The side streets are cobblestone (not easy for rolling luggage) and the main street was one way and very crowded with people from about 10:00 AM to after midnight. There was no luggage storage available on first level, no assistance up the staircase, so the walk up to the lst floor was difficult on a staircase that turned and had no handrail. Also, the shower was nearly unusable as it was so small; we measured the door opening and it was 12.5 inches---very small by USA standards!

We were for on vacation for 4 days. Casa Sorrentina is beautifully located on the Corso Italia, close to everything and easy to get to from the rail station. Travellers shoul be aware, though, that high street locations can be extraordinarily loud in the evenings and into the small hours when everyone's out on the street even after the shops are closed. That was where we wanted to stay, though, so we were okay with it. Also, the B&B is not staffed 24-hours a day but if you need anything, a phone call or note left on the door will solve it. Having a kitchenette was convenient even though there was a bit of an ant problem. Breakfast is provided via the food left in the stocked kitchen. It gets refilled every day. Great service, great welcome and location and we feel we got a good value.

Owner very friendly and helpful on travel information. Room was spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette. Located on the main street of the town, about 7 min walk from train station. Overall very nice stay. The only backdraw is that hot water was not enough for all guests to take shower at once.

Excellent location, a little noisy at night, but nevertheless, very good. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. the only minus is that if you want a hot shower, You'd better be fast. On the plus side, having a kitchen is ideal to try out some Italian recipes (there is a very well supplied supermarket near of the B&B)

Casa Sorrentina is in a great location. The owner is very friendly and speaks english well. The room was very clean and the kitchen had all we needed (coffee maker, pots & pans, etc). I would recommend this place to everyone except those who cannot climb stairs since there is no elevator.

Ideal location and good value for money. Very neat and quiet, our room did not have an outside view. Arrival can be problematic if youhave heavy luggage as the access to the area are limited to pedestrians only during certain times of the day

Centre of Sorrento - an excellent spot for restaurants and sightseeing. Made to feel very welcome by the hostess. Very comfortable apartment with stylish decor and fittings. Overlooks the main street which is closed to traffic in the evenings. Limited breakfast provided but quite adequate.

Casa Sorrentina is located in the heart of Sorrento and easily accessible to shops and beach. The small kitchenette is great for making your own meals which comes in handy when purchasing fresh vegetables at the corner markets.

Since we committed the european travel sin of arriving a few minutes late at Casa the first day, we were left with a phone number in order to contact the owner so we could get into our room(after a rather lengthy search before we located the hotel.) I wound up standing at a public "phone" in the poring rain vainly trying to use the Italian phone system (which I subsequently never learned how to do after a month in Italy). Eventually the owner arrived though and the rest of our stay in Sorrento went smoothly. By the way take a SITA bus along Amalfi coast--don't drive it! Also, be sure to visit Capri!

Very good location. Very clean and spacious room. Unfortunately toilet was a bit slow, had to leave space between people in our group using it so that it would flush. It is not clear in the description (but it is from others' comments) that breakfast is very basic. Cereals are left for you to prepare your own.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Sorrentina. It did get off to a rocky start when we arrived and no one was there to meet us (there is no reception for this hotel.) After I called Sonia, she was very quick to arrive, and very apologetic for making the mistake. Our room was not clean however, so we had to wait about an hour before we could really check in. But besides that, our stay was fantastic. The size of the room was incredible. We had a kitchen which was a welcome change after nearly 3 weeks in hotels. We were more inclined to stay in room the 3 days we were there, than see the sights. The location is perfect, on Sorrento's main drag. The price was a little steep for us, but considering the money we saved on food, it was worth it. I recommend Casa Sorrentina.

The apartment was well equipped, spotlessly clean and the staff most welcoming and helpful. The only disappointing feature was the lack of any view to the outside; the French windows opened onto a ventilation shaft! Admittedly, other rooms looked out over the main street, which remained noisy well into the night. (The only disturbance in our room was from the kitchen of the small hotel on the floor above). We suggest this feature be pointed out to future customers, who may or may not think it important. Otherwise, an excellent choice.
