This is a delightful hotel. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfasts were outstanding and the owner was there to help whenever needed. Parking facilities were very good which is important as parking in that area generally is not easy to find. Several good and inexpensive restaurants are nearby. The train station is within easy walking distance. We would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

Paulo made me feel very welcome from arrival to departure. My room on the 1st floor above ground level (piano 1 in Italy, no elevator) overlooked a large lemon tree orchard so neighbors were far away. The loose closet knob was immediately fixed. The air conditioning worked very well. The nearby church bells were just loud enough. They even provided recycling bins on each floor. Unfortunate that the smokers were inconsiderate enough to smoke directly outside the lobby and breakfast room with the windows and doors open. Seems to be a very difficult concept for smokers to understand. The walk from the bus stop (nice Curreri bus direct from airport $10) and the Circumvesuviana train stop was less than 10 minute walk over mostly cobblestone paths. Hint: take the road to the left of (when facing) train station and it will lead you to "t", then turn right and hotel is clearly just down the hill. Nice breakfast buffet, and would have been nicer with at least a bit of eggs, cheese, and/or meat. The 1/2 hour stroll to Sorrento on the back streets is pleasant, including the option of strolling through a private orchard when open. There is an inexpensive large local grocery store (liter water < 50 euro cents) near the train station (on next street to the right of it). The beach is a short walk down the hill and down some pretty serious steps - no sand though. All in all, I would return for the great service and the quiet refuge from the tourist packed Sorrento area. Feel very fortunate to get such a nice place, excellent service, and a great value - especially compared to Sorrento.

What made our stay particularly pleasant was the customer service and attention from Paulo who advised us on the best places to eat, the best way to move around the area to see the places we were interested in. This guy is genuinely interested in making your stay in this hotel and resort as pleasant as possible. We'll be back to this hotel if and when we come back to Sorrento.

Hotel itself is simple, however provides all that you need. The staff are magnificient. The advice given for places to go, trains to catch, and other useful information was very helpful. Definately recommend staying here for a cheap, clean and extremely helpful bed and breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic value for price. Extremely helpful staff, delicious breakfast. Appreciated not being in the centre of Sorrento though it was simple to get to. Room was simple but just what was needed, big window to let breeze in. Small bathroom, but very clean as everything was. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed 3 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel staff is amazing, service impeccable, all family-run and full of great recommendations. The patio area at the hotel is busy at night and they'll serve you beer/wine there if you choose not to walk downtown. Breakfast was average, coffee was great. The air conditioning worked GREAT! (We're from Texas, so AC is a must!) The train station is an 8-10 minute walk. Be sure to map it before you arrive - we had no map, but had no trouble when asking locals for directions. Pepinas restaurant downtown is great, and there is a little store by the plaza where you can sit and relax into the late evening. Within walking distance to the "beach" but it's a steep climb down through the hill once you get there. The neighborhood was safe and inviting, though the narrow roads made walking a little scary at night. We will definitely recommend and will return someday if we have the chance!!

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is most friendly and helpful. I had a problem connecting to the wireless connection and they gave me their LAN wire so that I could connect to the Internet! The breakfast buffet was delicious with assorted pastry and fruit. Our room had a terrace with a beautiful view. One suggestion, it's not necessary to take a taxi from the train station. It's a 10 minute walk. We were charged 10 Euro and it was a big mistake. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful and one stop on the local train to Sorrento where it is noisy and crowded. There are also some lovely and inexpensive restaurants nearby.

The Hotel Angelina is located in the city right next to Sorrento- Sant'Agnello and is well located. We requested a room with a private bathroom/ shower, and it was all as advertised. We were greeted by the owner as we pulled in to park the car; he guided us down into the small garage and parking space. Both he and his son, Paolo, were very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service, and great information about things to do/ see around Sant'Agnello/ Sorrento. We had brought enough clothes for one week's worth of travel, and needed laundry service by this point in our trip. Paolo directed us to a laundry service within walking distance of the hotel; the service was efficient and reasonably priced. Paolo and his father went out of their way to make sure we were not only getting great customer service, but also that we were enjoying our stay. Outstanding! We would HIGHLY recommend staying at Hotel Angelina when you are in the Sorrento area. Thank you, Hotel Angelina, for an unforgettably wonderful 3-night stay!

The manager was extremely courteous and helpful with directions and advice. The room had a small balcony with a couple of lounge chairs and overlooked a lemon orchard. There was not a lot of soundproofing, resulting in some noise as other guests came and went, but that was minor. The hotel is a cheap 2-minute train ride to the center of Sorrento, or a half hour walk. Served our best breakfasts in Italy.

The staff was kind and gracious. We needed only one night, and we could not beat the price -- we had rented a car, so we were able to park at the pensione and maneuver around. It's not near the sea, but it's a few yards away from a Catholic church and is easily accessed by busses so that you can easily do the Amalfi coast without difficulty . . .

This hotel is superb should be rated 10 or above it is clean no spotless a better term breakfast wide varity of fresh fruit rolls etc conviently situated approx 500m from beach, station and main road to Sorrento. The management are friendy and helpful you coudn't wish for better accomodation. If you are there when Roma play Int Milan and Roma win as they did during my stay you are treated to a firework display. I had a great stay and would recomend this hotel to everyone.I know I will not look for anywhere else on my next visit.

This is a family owned and operated hotel. They are very good at what they do and are friendly and responsive. The hotel is in an excellent location. They have on the ground and secure parking for your car. You are within walking distance of downtown Sorrento (30 minutes) as well as an excellent swimming beach (10 minutes). The hotel also has good wifi connectivity. There are close restaurants with excellent food and very reasonable prices. We felt it was much less hectic and noisy than Sorrento, provided more of a local ambience, and at lower prices than Sorrento. We would return again to this hotel. The only recommendation for the hotel would be to add cheese and meat to the breakfast menue. Otherwise everything is first rate.

Highly recommended. The staff are great, services great, room had everything, breakfast good! The hotel is off the main road into Sorrento, in the next suburb. Catch the train in to sorrento (one stop) and station is nearby. The suburb is lovely, a great little community. Would definately stay there again.

The hotel is nice and provided a good standard breakfast. They dealt with a problem we identified in a very professional manner. I would recommend this hotel. The beaches in the area are not very good and you have to pay for them. Apparently there is a good beach in Positano.

As with many of the directions this was not easy to find, miss the little sign hanging on a building and you go right past it. Directions definately need improvement. Hotel was decent, no air conditioning in our room and it was hot. Staff very helpful and accommodating with advise on seeing the sights in the area etc. Location isn't too bad, you're not in Sorrento so you have to take a bus to town and to the dock to go to Capri but it was convienent.

Tres bon rapport qualite/prix.

The Angelina is a clean, bright hotel located down a narrow street in Sant'Agnello. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and someone is at reception 24 hours a day. I had a double room with an ensuite bathroom, both of which were kept spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. Breakfast is more than adequate and there is also a bar where you can purchase drinks (including alcohol) until 11pm. The area surrounding the hotel is a local one, safe to walk around alone and peppered with local restaurants serving great food at great prices. It is an easy 15-20 minute walk into Sorrento otherwise you can catch the local bus from the main street (5 minute walk from the hotel) which operates regularly. There is an internet cafe close by near the bustop but you will have to travel further down the main street for a laundry. A ten minute walk further down the lane will take you to the cliff edge where you get an amazing view of Sorrento and across to Naples and Mt Vesuvius.

Hotel Angelina surpassed our expectations. We had researched the hotel website and those of the surrounding area as thoroughly as we could. But even then we were pleasantly surprised at the excellence of the location, the competence, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the efficiency and low cost of public transport to all the 'must-see' places we had on our itinerary. We just can't wait to return!

Angelina was a nice B&B that felt like a hotel. The breakfast was varied, from pastries to cereals to sandwich fixings and fruit. The staff was very nice, and so was the room. I love the shutters that make the room DARK at night, so you can sleep in if you want to! It's walking distance from Sorrento, but the sidewalks are narrow. I don't recommend doing it with bags (like I did, from the Port!) There is a bus to Sant'Agnello, and Angelina is down a side road from the Sant'Agnello piazza. It's quiet, with a good, inexpensive restaurant (recommended by the staff) on the same street. Also, the view of the surrounding hills and town from the roof was nice.

Hotel Angelina is a very welcoming accomodation with genuinely friendly, helpful and non intrusive staff. I was in Italy for a wedding and thereafter had a week to myself with school friends. The hotel staff were happy for us to chill out and use the facilities during the day if it was too hot to venutre out and the rooms were always clean beyond belief. Breakfasts were buffet style and delicious and fresh with fresh figs every morning and a range of cakes and savoury choices. Sant Agnello is a pleasant coastal walk of about 20-30 minutes for average fitness from Sorrento, and the hotel has nearby excellent restaurants and coffee shops. The train station is very near which is useful. Hotel Angelina has a roof terrace with lovely views. I would certainly stay here again if I was returning to sant agnello.

Paolo and family were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Helped us in all aspects of our trip. This was our first time in this area. Parking was a pleasure on the grounds even though we didn't need a car with the trains and buses so close. So convenient for visiting Amalfi and Sorrento areas. Our room was beautiful but was in the front of the hotel where we heard a lot of the street sounds. We didn't mind it but some people like quiet. If so, ask for a room towards the back. Breakfasts were excellent and we met the nicest people while having breakfast. Would highly recommend this property. Excellent value for your money.

The Angelina was on a nice quiet street. It was a special experience to wake up smelling the orange blossoms and hearing the songbirds warbling in the grove outside the window. There were great views of the Bay of Napoli, cliffs of Sorrento, and Mount Vesuvio right down the street. If you would rather be away from the noise and tourism of Sorrento then you should stay here. The staff at Angelina were great, and helpful with my search for family relations in the area, above and beyond expectations for hotel staff. A nice breakfast buffet with a variety of pastries was also a plus. Also the patio under the orange trees. This place is very deserving of high ratings. The walk to Sorrento was about 20 mins at a brisk pace, as advertised, but who would want to go there when you have peaceful Sant Agnello? The limoncello maker up the street is a definite plus.

I had a single room at the Angelina. It was spartan, which I didn't mind, and it was very clean. It reminded me of a room in a convent, but it was pleasant and comfortable enough. On my last night (November 2), it became very cold and there was no blanket available to keep me warm, and since it was late at night, I didn't bother calling the desk for one. I'm sure they would have provided me with one had I asked. Breakfast was good too. I'd stay there again!

Staying at Hotel Angelina was great. We really enjoyed the location and the chance to meet with everyday Italians. Our room was very clean and cleaned daily. The Angelina was an excellent bed and breakfast and lived up to our expectations. The rooms were quiet with the bonus of air conditioning and the breakfast was good and plentiful. Both the station and bus stops are close by, which was convenient for visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum. The walk along the coastal road into Sorrento which takes about 20 minutes was extremely pleasant. Angelina is a charming b&b. The host is charming and very helpful. San Agnello is not as hectic as Sorrento and is quieter and less tourist-y. Although we were at first surprised that the B&B was in Sant Angnello and not actually in Sorrento, we came to enjoy being a short distance outside of Sorrento. We took advantage of the balcony in our room which overlooked a small lemon orchard. The sight, smell and quite was great. Public transportation to Sorrento was inexpensive and easay to use and the Circumvensuvia train has a stop just a few minutes from Angelina. My wife and I would certainly recommned the Angelina to anyone heading to Sorrento.
