Sofia Guesthouse - Sofia

First it is important to understand that this is NOT essentially a bed and breakfast, but a youth hostel. It is more of a place for backpackers. The room is minuscule, the conditions of the bathrooms are poor, the window does not allow light to enter during the day, there are no hangers to put your clothes. I stayed for 5 days, my room was never cleaned, the beds never made. I did that myself. My room faced the main lobby. People would watch TV there until 11PM every night and early in the morning (sometimes before 8AM) groups of tourists would gather there and talk very loud. One night, the people in the neighbor room forgot their TV on loud volume until 2AM. I complained, but they were not there and took their key with them. The staff did not have a replacement key. The staff is constituted by nice young people, who are trying their best. As I said, I was not the right costumer for them. This is a place for young backpackers, who travel for fun and don't need to sleep much.
