Bed and Breakfast Lakkios Residence - Siracusa

The owners and staff at Lakkios were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room we had was large and very clean, on the ground floor with a balcony overlooking the port which was a great view. Even with the extreme heat, Lakkios is well placed to walk to the historic centre, and Ortigia. There are not many common areas to the hotel, and we found the breakfast a little disappointing. However we would definitely stay there again - just for the welcome.

El hotel esta muy bien, todo nuevo, habitaciones muy limpias y amplias pero las camas individuales son mu estrechas. El desayuno muy bueno.

Very nice, recently renovated room. 10 min walk to the island of Ortega. Breakfast (coffe and pastry only) served separately at the local cafe. The staff there were not helpful. This aspect let down what was otherwise very nice accomodation.

Se trata de un establecimiento encantador, muy bien situado. El recibimiento de los propietarios es inmejorable. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y decoradas con un gusto excelente. Es un sitio donde pasar una larga temporada

Quasi erfettamente baricentrico tra l'isola di Ortigia, l'anfiteatro greco e le Latomie dei Cappuccini, il Lakkios è una vecchia casa di pescatori recentemente ristrutturata con estremo buon gusto e ben arredata. Al piano inferiore ci sono stanze semplici, al superiore le suites con uso cucina, tutte pulitissime, spaziose e confortevoli. Quasi tutte affacciano sul porticciolo antistante, non particolarmente pittoresco e fonte di continuo rumore dalle prime ore dell'alba. La colazione, almeno per gli ospiti delle camere al pianterreno, non viene servita in loco, ma si è forniti un buono per una prima colazione all'italiana presso un bar-pasticceria che dista circa 200 m dal B&B, con dolci e granite ottime e personale poco cordiale. La prima mattina abbiamo rischiato di dover fare colazione in piedi in quanto tutti i tavolini del dehor esterno erano occupati da altri avventori. Parcheggiare di fronte alla struttura non è un problema, in quanto lo spazio abbonda. I proprietari sono stati gentili e prodighi di informazioni. Qualche problema al POS in fase di pagamento ci ha costretti a ritirare denaro contante presso un vicino Bancomat.

Mara and Eugenio, the owners of Lakkios Residence, are very warm and sympathic people who do everything possible for their guests. We were very pleasantly surprised by the residence (great rooms) and the location - it is right on the harbour - you walk out of the room and straight onto the wharf - only a stroll to Ortigia, and a fairly easy walk to the archeological areas of the town. However, for breakfast, we were sent to a local cafe with a voucher - pretty basic.

The couple who run this place are wonderful they bent over backwards to help and offered great suggestions of where to eat etc. Best thing is you can have breakfast looking out on to the water which was lovely.
