What lovely find in the middle of Ortigia. The room was large, clean and quiet. The owner met us, helped us get settled and gave good directions to park the car. You need to park about 5 minutes away, but there is a convenient shuttle right to the door. The breakfast was in the bar downstairs so it was limited to cafe and fresh baked pastries.

Our room was very spacious with a small kitchen and a great view of the piazza. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked great. The shower was a bit small for us but normal for Italy. Our host Guiseppe, was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Itaca B&B 2 nights and I must say that it was absolutely fantastic. By far, our best accommodation during our 2-weeks trip to Sicily. Ideally located in Siracusa, the room was beautiful. The owner/manager welcomed us in a very friendly way and took time to explain us all the places to visit in Siracusa and recommend us very good restaurants. We will definitely be back in this B&B, which offers great value for the price.

The price is 20% higher compared to other similar b&b located in the same or in other cities. The breakfast is very poor (only cappucino and brioches)and it isn't offered in the B&B rooms but in the bar located in the public square. From our point of view the correct price for the supplied service should be around 70 EUR.

Stayed here for 1 night in June 09 while travelling through Sicily. Very friendly and helpful owner. Loved the room with the balcony facing the fountain. Centrally located.

Upon arrival we had to wait approx 15 mins for the owner to come and meet us to let us in. Once checked in, he showed us the way to the rooms which were a 5 min walk away from the main building. These rooms were brand new and extremely nice and a great suprise and fantastic value. Unfortunately the toilet in one of the rooms was prone to not flushing and we had to call the owner twice. One of the rooms was massive with a huge sofa and both rooms had very comfortable beds. The other room was still a good size, especially for the 70 euro rate. Fantastic rooms!

B&B en el mismo centro antiguo de Siracusa (Ortigia- Habitaciones modernas, bien equipadas, limpias y funcionales. Muy recomendable. Su dueño es muy amable. El desayuno se hace en el bar justo de abajo.

We rented 3 rooms with my cousens. Great location in the middle of the old city .Very romantic building with balkonies. Owner showed us free parking and recomended good restorant . Breakfast was in the bar downstairs with little choice of food , Bed was old and uncomfortable. Owner wanted cash only

Very nice place. In the old city, walking distance to anywhere on the island. Parking is actually a public pay parking lot at the entrance to the island, but easy walking an only one euro per day (city subsidized) and you pay per day, not per time you come and go. Breakfast (included) is at the cafe next door, nice that there is a large selection and coffee. The biggest downside is that due to a storm, we showed up a little late and our cell phone was dead. Since we were late, there was no one to check us in so we had to call from the cafe next door and the manager had to come let us in. It was a very nice, large, modern apartment over looking a fountain in the piazza, very nice.

Very good location in center of old city. Proprietor provided exceptional service and advice on things to see and places to eat.

The B&B and the service was simply fantastic. When we make our reservation online, we commented that this is our honeymoon trip. The owner actually gave us a surprise, and upgraded our room to a brand new suite! The suite was just lovely, simply indescribable. Romantic, spacious, clean, private, everything honeymooners can ask for. To complete it all, the owner has also made a dinner reservation at a nearby Osteria for us too. The food was delicious at a reasonable price. We just let the chef decide what to serve us. During our 2 weeks stay in Italy (where we travelled fr North to South), Itaca was definitely the best place we stayed. Thank you for making our trip such a memorable and romantic one. We will definitely be back!

Giuseppe, the proprietor was wonderful. He had many suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants that we followed. We had a meal of a lifetime due to his suggestion. The rooms were very nice and clean and the air conditioning worked silently and very well. The location on the island is the only one a visitor should consider. Everything was in walking distance (except the greek theater). Thank you Giuseppe! We hope to return soon.
