Bed and Breakfast Il Labirinto - Siracusa

Love the location. Very quiet room. If you depend on the internet don't depend on them. Never worked. And I was not offered any compensation for this lack of an important service for me.

On the whole, our stay was really quite alright! But some things about Il Labirinto were really annoying. The breakfast was poor! The maid was really unfriendly and couldn't - as the only person in the house - say a word in english! And we waited for hours for the manager to arrive to fix our tv and give us our receipt, because he forgot, that and when he wanted to come. He got very undfriendly, too. There are lots of B&Bs. I would choose a different one for our next honeymoon... ;)

"Il Labirinto" in the old-town of Siracusa is a beautiful little B&B with excellent rooms. From there you can reach all the tourist-spots in beetween a few minutes. When we were there in the middle of march (off-season) the cleaning-and-breakfast-providing-lady was a bit confused and kicked us out of the bed at 8 o'clock in the morning, just because she had prepared the coffee for this time and wanted us to have it instantly - even when the official breakfast-time is between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. So that was a bit of stress for everybody, but at the end also funny. The breakfast was great anyway...

Had a very pleasant stay at Il Labirinto for 4 nights. We found the place easily and it was very convenient to all the things we wished to do in the area. One staff member spoke brilliant English and all staff were friendly. Breakfast was generous and varied. Visitors could sit up in the breakfast room or on the terrace outside out of breakfast hours. This was pleasanat and we could make ourselves a cup of tea there. I would recommend this hotel. If bags are heavy there is not a lift.

We arrived at the B&B around 7PM and the door was locked and no one was there to answer the buzzer. There was a phone number posted which we called once we located a phone--at the bookstore. We were given a code to enter and told which room was ours-key was in the door. Once we were inside the B&B, all was great. Caution:there is no elevator and the stairway is narrow and it is a spiral staircase. Location was GREAT! The B&B is in an alley and the street noise--late at night--is bad for about an hour. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Breakfast is provided at a cafe located in the Piazza Diana. Since we were there in off-season, there is pretty much no staff contact. Now that I understand the workings of the B&B, I definitely would stay there again. Staying on the island is the only way to experience Siracusa.

The place and 'truly beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, we have eaten a good breakfast in a gracious terrace. We recommend a holiday. Right price

ByB con buena localización cerca de la plaza central. Pero nos tocó una habitaación, justo al lado de la recepción que tenía todo estropeado: en el baño no se podía regular la temperatura del agua, con lo que al minuto salía hirviendo. Los toalleros de plástico se caían solos. No funcionaba el aire acondicionado. Las lámparas de las mesillas no tenían bombillas, y la tv no funcionaba. Quisimos contactar con alguien pero no había nadie en la casa y como no había cobertura no les podíamos llamar. Desde luego, con la habitación que nos tocó, la relación calidad-precio era muy alta.

Nice room with a good location but the service could be better: there is during the day no real reception. You have to phone the cell number indicated on the door to obtain the digi code of the door... If you want to stay at this B&B, you MUST have a cell phone :-(. The room is a little bit tiny but clean and confortable. The breakfast is served in a common room in the same floor, better than a voucher for a bar.
